  1. Whoops, sorry—I meant that they would need to fill up the 16 spots, at which point they'll probably have more limited options after all the minifigures and variants they've produced so far :)
  2. If they did a CMF Series 3, the remaining house ghosts could definitely help fill some spots. At this point, we've gotten so many characters already that it wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility...?
  3. Yep, very excited to get Kingsley this year. On a slightly unrelated note, does anyone have any idea why Lego has been using cool yellow for all of the blonde minifigures in HP? I like the brightness of the colour, but I feel like brick yellow would just work better for some of these minifigures, at least based on the Hannah Abbott photo and Draco's appearance in HBP where his hair is much paler.
  4. Sorry — People of colour! :)
  5. I'm disappointed too, but mostly for different reasons. For some reason Lego seems determined to make Cho an inaccurate skin tone just because she's PoC. It'd be better if they gave her light nougat skin and made minifigures of more PoC characters. The Gryffindor could have been Lee Jordan, and Blaise Zabini exists too.
  6. This seems like good deduction. I could definitely see Gilderoy being in DA since given his prominence but long absence from Lego HP I'd expect them to put him on the packaging if he was on the CMF. It seems more likely that Lucius would be in DA too. Hoping for Pomfrey in a book 2 spot.
  7. Thanks — it'll be nice to see Sprout with the greenhouse. Hopefully they do what they did with Bellatrix and give us a good CMF figure of Tonks to accompany or make up for the slightly * inferior * minifigure in the set. I don't think so. Some people floated different pieces, like Sabine's hair from Star Wars, but none of them are available in pink or purple. Which makes me hopeful for the CMF...!
  8. I've lost the list of all the known and rumoured CMF, but I feel like now I'm definitely hoping Tonks is in the CMF since they skipped out on pink or purple hair in the Burrow.
  9. It seems kind of strange to me that they wouldn't replace the 4-wide doorways with tan ones since that piece already exists. I guess they wanted to keep it aesthetically unified with the wide doorways which I think were new last year and only in white?
  10. I must be in a minority when I say I loved CoG and would love to see more than just one set from that movie — especially of the great characters like Leta, Nagini and young Albus. But regardless, I think given how great the HP sets this year have been — we don't have to be too concerned about the quality of the two remaining sets. However I seem to recall someone "confirming" that the graveyard was HBP not CoG...or was this just speculation? Can someone with a good memory help out?
  11. The new sets look as amazing as I was hoping? I love the Clocktower and can't wait to copy how you're all attaching it to the Great Hal Has anyone pointed out what piece they're using to convert the broom into a Firebolt? Is it new?
  12. It looks like the Ice Dragon actually has plastic cut-out wings attached to a technic frame, like the Elves queen dragon did. I wonder if that's how they'll go for the Horntaill. I hope they don't. But I agree the snake looks brilliant and I wish they used that sort of detail for a Basilisk.
  13. As far as I know you've got everything, although I think there are higher quality/better lighting photos of the Triwizard champions out there where Cedric and Krum have the right faces on.
  14. This is very true. I was thinking (note: with no basis at all) that if she's not in the Advent calendar using all re-used pieces then she'd be in the unconfirmed CMF Series 2. People seem sure (again speculation) that that'll have Gilderoy, so at least there'd be a bit of a Chamber of Secrets vibe going on.
  15. You're right, although I meant more that they had created a subtheme design that they used for both movie 1 and 2 sets therefore I guessed we might be seeing that design again before 2021. Equally though you're right, it's possible that they leave that series alone until the next movie.
  16. Since there doesn't seem to be much new information on those two mysterious sets, I would also add to the discussion that it seems odd for Lego to make a box design for Fantastic Beasts, which they used for two sets, if they weren't planning on making more sets. Albeit you could make the argument that they only made one set for FB1 so they may only have planned the one set for CoG.
  17. They look excellent! Pretty happy with Lloyd's hair on Harry. I have to say though, Krum still just doesn't look quite right. The rest of them are brilliant though and the subtle criss cross printing on Fleur's shirt is great!
  18. This wave is looking incredible but I'll be honest I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of Slytherin/Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff uniform representation that the first wave did so well particularly in rectifying those absences from earlier Harry Potter sets. If (when) they come out with a CMF series 2 though, all would be forgiven. Also having bought the Hogwarts Express I'm torn on whether I prefer the older version, I too love the new design but one thing it lacks is the flowy cloth cape. Still going to get the set, if only for Sirius and the patronus! On that note, it's a bit off topic but if anyone could direct me to a subreddit or something that lists what type of fabric LEGO uses for its (soft) cloth capes, that would be really appreciated.
  19. Wow, I'm loving these leaks! That sparkly patronus deer and Buckbeak look great, although as others have said for Buckbeak I would have preferred more articulation than just the neck moving up and down. They can do it for horses so I'm not sure why it doesn't work for ol Witherwings...probably because the "cavity" in the middle is 2x2 as opposed to 1x2 studs wide. Also, it seems to be have been overlooked that the leaked wolf mold actually has a weird "triple" tail and so if LEGO were to introduce a Lupin werewolf or even a Sirius Animagus in the new sets, they would definitely not be able to use the white wolf's mold.
  20. Sorry if this got covered recently, I've tried to check back but can't find it — did the advent calendar come from a source or is it rumour/speculation? Also, CMF Series 2 is definitely just predictions/rumours at this point right? :)
  21. Yes! I would love (and am expecting/hoping for) some robed minifigures, a la the CMF series — but hopefully in non-Gryff houses like Slytherin. And I agree, I'm glad we get confirmation on midlegs being used widely as that means the CMF figures will be able to fit easily with the others. :)
  22. Not sure that this is technically a rumour but am I the only one who thinks it would be a bit odd if there wasn't a single FB 2 set this year? Seeing as the movie only came out at the end of last year with one tie-in set. To my mind there should be at least one more coming this year. Does anyone have any solid rumours or thoughts on this?
  23. I just got a response from them that didn't even say that, just the vague "Availability and details, as with all promotions, are subject to change, so hang in there" — seems like their information is patchy. Disappointed to hear the information you got though, seems like we always get screwed over here.
  24. I wonder if the DADA classroom they release will be a FB version, considering its role with Dumbledore as a DADA teacher..I imagine that would sell better than just a purely FB oriented set as it would appeal to solely-Harry Potter fans as well.
  25. I don’t ask for a lot, just more Slytherin and Puff torsos that aren’t exclusive to $160 sets.... Also, I expect they’ll have a Sprout to round out the Heads of Houses. Hopefully the characters in the Toys R Us pack also come up in sets, as I have no idea how available they will be.
