These are really cute. I was in need for some containers and these have given me the idea I was looking for. Thanks for that.

Lego Digital Designer Problem
Endigo Vandane replied to xenologer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks, glad you like them. What do you think of the parts selection available? Personally I would like to see some more 1 x 1 slopes added in different colors. Transparent tiles would be nice as well. Maybe when they do an update, if they do an update..... -
As long as they're bringing out Star Wars, I'm not expecting any original Lego Space sets. Exo-Force is only possible because SW doesn't have any Mechs in it. I'm not that fond of E-F, but they're great for parts. I still would have liked the chance not to buy them. (I still would have, if only to become Space-complete) Now it took a trip to the U.S. to even discover their existence. I remember walking into a KB Toys and going: What the F.... is that?!? And in another store I suddenly found the Aquadozer from Aquaraiders. Another theme that was never released in Europe. Not really Space but still Sci-Fi. That 'Adventurers in Space' would be weird. Since it seems to be set in the 1930's. If you want ancient ruins, they could find Atlantis.

tsds01 I only have a couple of things in the gallery, nothing spectacular. I still prefer the real thing to digital. I like your tanker. -
Lego Digital Designer Problem

The same thing happened to some of my models. It only lasted a couple of days. Maybe less. After that they were available again. I wouldn't worry about it. -
How do you store your instructions?
Endigo Vandane replied to captaintau's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Like most people, I have A4 plastic folders in ring binders. But I found that the smaller instructions caused the folders to bulge, so I now put those in A5 folders. All the instructions are sorted into theme and year of release. -
How long do you keep your Lego models built?
Endigo Vandane replied to vahkimetru's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Mine are lucky if they survive for more than a day. I usually only build the original model to see if the set is complete. After the build, I check out any features it might have. That can take as little as ten minutes. Then, sometimes, I just look at it for the aestetics, or it gets swooshed around a bit. After all that I take it apart and sort the pieces. There are some exeptions to this rule, but they are few and far between. -
Actually, the Hideout was released in 2003. It has the old-gray. The colour change happened in 2004... @ Brickster: Thanks for the review. Now I know in advance what I will have to change on the Batboat. I might just keep the Hideout instructions close when I get the 7780.

Airline promo biplane
Endigo Vandane replied to optimus-convoy's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The fig is just Lucius Malfoy from Knockturn Alley with DkStone legs and an aviator cap. The head is also available in Dobby's Release. The torso is only available in The Bi-Plane and Knockturn Alley. -
Nice one. *y* I agree with you on the exhausts. My first thought was you could try two of these. As for landing gear... it would either have to be really tiny or you need to rebuild the hull to incorporate it. Maybe if you replaced the 1 x 3 inverted slopes in the back with the normal 1 x 3 slopes and use hinges to rotate them from flight mode to landing mode. A combination of and might do the trick. I don't know how much room you have back there. Hopefully it's clear what I mean. I like the overal shape and the flip up controls are a great detail. Nice to see you managed to use that canopy. :-)

Is it a Stud? Is it a Brick? No! It's Minifig Man and ScalaGirl! Actually, that might work.

Space.... I like the Star Wars sets, but I would love to see original Lego Space creations. The current space-based sets (mainly Star Wars but also the NASA items) just don't fire my imagination as much as Lego's own designs did, or do for that matter. So I would like to see a new line with everything from small one person vehicles (flying and groundbased) up to magnificent behemoths, with bases to round the whole thing off. (a new monorail set would be great) But as long as SW is around that's not going to happen...... :(

About an hour after I had placed my remarks I found two trans dark blue heads with no print on them in my collection. I had completely forgotten I had some of those. :$
-
There are trans blue minifig heads out there. But all of them have a fish-print. Trans Blue Heads Trans Light Blue Heads as said by Bloody Jay. As you can see they're a lot rarer than the trans light-blue ones and If you don't have any moral objections to such an action, you would need to remove the print with either Brasso or Displex. :)

New Poll Whats Your Favorite Lego?
Endigo Vandane replied to Vader's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Space, the finest of themes. These are the instructions to fabulous spaceships. It's continuing mission to seek out new shapes and means of construction. To bodly go where no brick has gone before. (sing in high pitched voice) Aaah aaaah aah ah ah ah aaaaaaah ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shouldn't Dino attack (US) be Dino 2010 (European)? -
Actually the 7214 was released in 2004 as an airlines-only promotional set.

I would have to with "The Legend of Zelda". I'm not a big gamer, but when there's a new Zelda game out I always get it. And if it's on a console I don't have, I get the console just so I can play it. You could simply start with "The Legend of Zelda" Then follow it with up with "Zelda II - Link's Awakening" And so on and so forth untill you get to "Twilight Princess" That would give you a run of at least ten years (Gameboy games could be combined. i.e. "Oracle of Ages" and "Oracle of Seasons" would be one year and "Four Swords" and "The Minish Cap" would be another.) (in reaction to the gallery) I really like the way the King of Red Lions looks and the pig is just too cute for words.

Yes, the eyes are stickers. :) As are the teeth on the underside of the 2160 Crystal Scavenger cockpit and on the sides of the excavator bucket in the 2161 Aquadozer. I'd love to post some pictures. Unfortunately I don't have a camera, digital or otherwise. So, sorry, no joy. :( I was on holiday in the USA, while they were in their final year. The only set I saw at the time was the Aquadozer. One shop had three of them left. When I walked out it had none. :)

It almost sounds too good. :oo Confirmation, confirmation. I must have confirmation. :'(

I have several myself, though I never seem to be able to find them when I need one. :/ They're pretty handy. I have modified one (so much for being a purist :$ ) to be a keychain. That way I always have one at hand when someone is in need of one. And before everyone jumps all over me for not finding any, while I have one as a keychain; I generally don't take my keys into the Legoroom.

NEED TO IDENTIFY PIECES! Help!
Endigo Vandane replied to The Middleman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
From the description you gave, I think the other part is this one. -
Question: What happens when all the old grey is used up? Will the sets that had the old/new grey mix be continued with only the new grey? If that is the case, it could become a crap shoot as to which version you're going to get. Not really something I'm looking forward to.
-
A slight modification of this one could work: White in color, new print and able to fit on a minifig torso. :)

Space, the finest of themes. Although, having Link and Ganondorf in Lego would also not suck.
