Not Wing Zero, just Wing! ;p Mike
-
Aright, I'm finally out of Gundam Models to take pictures of ;p I also took this group shot to kinda top off everything; Mike
-
I just added Sandrock to the First Post
-
Just did Deathscythe; The First post will be updated in just a bit. Mike
-
I wouldn't really say they're bigger, and complexity varies, but honestly some just don't appeal to me, like Deathscythe custom, as far as I'm concerned Deathscythe Hell, and even the Original are far superior. Even Heavyarms Custom has good foundations but i nteh end it just feels very top heavy and cluttered. as far as the Ver.Ka versions, its kinda the same hit-or-miss boat the EW designs end up in. Not that I can't appreciate them, Wing and Shenlong are cool(and actually have some logical links to the original designs compared to say DeathScythe >.>), I even painted up a 1/100th Master Grade Wing Gundam Ver. Ka. but I still hold the Origianl Wing design superior, its much more dynamic while despite having less "detail". Might also help that I got into Gundam Wing waaaaay back when, like 10-ish years ago or something, and all this EW and Ver Ka stuff is pretty recent to me. Its practically the root to all my mecha fan-dom. Mike

.....from my last post As far as EW versions go, prolly not, the Original designs are more appealing in several ways compared to the EW versions IMO. Mike

It's funny how even something as little as non-default can really range how something looks aswell. Also just a heads up but I've fixed up the first post, it now contains descriptions and links to all pictures. I hope to get the last 3 done on the weekend, Sandrock and Deathscythe are good to go but Wing Still needs a bit of tweaking.... Mike

Except they're about half the size ;p Also he's already built. See the link in my previous post. Mike

Actually at this point I'm pretty far along; Just still waiting on a couple orders to finish off several of them then I gotta try and compensate for my crappy camera.... Mike

Whelp, here it is finally in pure godly plastic; Mike

So, this all started a couple of weeks ago then I wanted to build a cockpit that'd fit a Minifig because I haven't done anything like that yet and wanted to do something larger than my regular microscale mechas. So with a bit or work I came up with this; A nice, compact design with lots of cool flaps and such and it snuggly fit a fig. Next came the long and awkward process of building the actual ExoSuit for the Steel Coffin to plug into. After a long-ish and semi-frustrating build I finalyl ended up with this; But of course, now that the main build is done I'm running into a bit of a wall as far as colors and Equipment goes, so if you guys have any ideas feel free to share! Mike

Actually that is the plan, but LDD doesn't have trans black for some reason! Mike
-
That strange, I've never had that happen to me before...but I do plan on building this, its just always a matter of WHEN xD Right now I'm trying to figure out the bulk of the designs I need/want to build for BrickCon, then I gotta get ordering! xD Mike
-
Whelp, I only recently decided to check to see if all the dark red parts I used actually came in dark red....and some don't, so it was back to the drawing board! xD Then I maded this; The legs and torso are still the same but I modified the guns so they can swivel a bit and tweaked the head design a bit. Tell me what you think!
-
Man, Now I want to make a Transformer.....but I'm so swamped with other projects! Curse you! ;p Mike
-
Thanks, thought I think I'm out of places to stick stuff and ideas of what I would stick if there was room! xD I don't, but now theres a story behind it, just as I was about to upload it, a magpie decided that pecking about the power transformer for our house was a good idea. Note that this is the second time this happened....today. ANYWAYS, here we go; http://www.mediafire.com/file/c9q7fjpeucqe2wn/Torrent%20By%20OrangeKNight.lxf EDIT: Derp, There was a misplaced brick somehow, so I've re-uploaded a fixed version, sorry for any trouble! I prolly should have stuck this up to begin with, because theres quite a bit going on in such a small scale its hard to take all in properly with just a couple of angles. Be sure to share if you make any improvements ;p Mike

Well, I couple of weeks ago started some random leg test builds and it kinda got away from me and I ended up with this; I like it but I felt I could improve it, but been pretty distracted lately...so I only got around to it tonight and came up with this; At its core it is very similar to the prior incarnation, but there are quick a few small-ish changes, but they still help really change the overall feel of it, but I know I'm not so fantastically amazing that I can't improve, so any feedback/critique is greatly appreciated and for more info please check out the flickr page as I added a ton of notes pointing out the new stuff. Mike

Very nice frame, I especially like the shoulders and legs(but not feet xD) Mike
-
Heh, finally got around to getting the parts for a couple Monkeylords; Mike
-
Sat dopwn with this guy again, and it is not 98% complete, still missing some 2x2 tiles and 8 stud Technic Bricks in Light Bley, and some other random bits. On top of the fact I think there is an issue with the way I set up the hip joint pistons means I took these pics VERY quickly(and softly!) and broke it down a bit until I hear back from the Designer just to be safe. So in the meantime, enjoy these pics while I go do my victory dance. Mike

Well Like I said, from what I could see, it didn't look sturdy, but without knowing exactly how it went together, but if as you said its basically just pins, that might hold the weight, but the torso wouldn't stay up right, its roll either forwards or backwards right away. Try reworking it using these parts; http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=48169 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=48171 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=47455 They work out to be good strong joints with rigid rotation(just like the click hinges) Mike
-
I'd say your biggest concerns will be how the joints hold up, specifically in the hips, I'm not sure what you did, but from what I could see I'm not sure it very sturdy at all. Any chance seeing what you did for the hips? Mike

Blah, been sidetracked by my REX Project, so I haven't done much for these guys yet, but I have managed to bulk out my collection enough that I'm not stuck just designing in LDD anymore for stuff about this scale, thought the still end up being Rainbow Warriors until I order parts xD Here is a partial build I did of Wing today; This was mainly just to see how the wings hold up, that was one of my biggest concerns to be honest. And it looks like it might be a bit awkward to pose/balance, but not too bad I hope. Also narrowing down the LDD designs for the other 3, Shenlong took some work to get his Arm right-ish, I couldn't get it all included, so to deploy his dragon arm you gotta swap out parts, but at this scale I'm not sure there IS a good way of doing it all on the model. Mike
