There has been a rumor about it early in the year before it was even possible to read much into the MF pictures. The ISD being teased the same way as the MF seems to support this rumor. While we can't be sure for certain, I think getting an UCS ISD in late 2018 is more likely than not.

I think the UCS ISD will be next autumn... we'll get something else in May I think.

It doesn't work. Nintendo is just stubborn and stupid by discontinuing the NES Classic although there's demand. They're not making profits from producing a small amount of NES or SNES Classics and scalpers selling them for a lot higher prices. If they'd produce more, they'd sell more. Lego is not artificially keeping those big new sets rare - they just cannot produce more without compromising the production of other sets or greatly increasing the production cost of those big models (due to more complex logistics etc.). They're going to produce as many as they can. Demand will probably be a little bit higher than production, but give it some weeks or a couple of months and they will have cought up. I personally don't mind waiting until May 4th and getting double VIP points.

It's quite easy: The first post in the news thread is going to be updated with the latest set infos and you can post actual news there if there is news. This thread here is for discussing said news (and nobody stops you from posting the news here as well). That way people can subscribe to the news thread and get notified when there's actual new info, rather than getting notified every single time someone starts rambling and getting off topic in the discussion thread

And what about it? If you guys don't want to discuss your and others' opinions, nobody forces you to read or comment in a discussion thread I personally really like the wave. I think the heavy scout walker will have to grow on me first, and I simply don't like its minifig selection, just minifigs we already had before (I wouldn't count Hux with Obi-Wan hair as "new").

My guess is because it'd be so popular. UCS sets don't get sold in every store. A lot of kids probably would want it for the holidays, and Lego will probably sell a ton of it.

Might be possible it's coming in the Winter Wave instead what you? So they simply swapped stuff? Or just a heavy redesign?

Some of the new figs being from microfighters would make a lot of sense. And I'm really curious where some of the figs we've seen and not seen yet would fit in (e.g. Tie Pilot, Hux, Phasma). Why so aggressive? Firstly, I was merely suggesting something, not "telling you what to do". Secondly, we were referring to the 2018 "news" thread, where posting stuff other than news is forbidden, sorry if that wasn't clear.

Thanks for the new setup indeed! I agree, locking the other thread and copying/moving news posts over there might be a good idea to avoid it becoming cluttered.

We had a meaningful discussion about rumors of upcoming sets and users speculating what could be in those sets, based on the information we had. This is not randomly making a wishlist. All this complaining about users alledgedly posting "wishlists" here and all bickering what is and what isn't allowed in this thread, which has been going on in the last couple of weeks, is in my opinion much, much worse than the actual occasional off-topic posts. I think we're at a crossroads here. There either should be more discussion allowed and encouraged, and avoiding all the bickering what is allowed and what isn't in the thread, or we should strictly stick to the known facts. The latter would be boring, though - there's already a first post and there's not much discussing need there. People would probably just discuss rumors on other forums or reddit, then. But maybe both is possible? A "2018 rumor & speculation" thread, that is a little bit less strict, and a "2018 announced & recently released sets thread", where people could discuss the official images & their own opinions on recently released sets without having to make a review. I just noticed the Imperial Officer from the Advent Calendar is different from 75055, it has 4 red/blue squares on the plaque rather than 75055's 3, and it has 2 code cylinders instead of 1.

Yep, with swapped dark tan arms :) And the hair is from Mr. Incredible (someone suggested that earlier in the thread).

Sir von Lego already stated in the past that it had a UCS stand. You guys also have to understand that there's only so much people who have or are sources can say before they get into trouble. Personally I think it's good enough to know that Sir von Lego has seen stuff and can separate the truth from fake rumors without having to spill all beans.

What we really need in terms of minifigs really are updated Scout Troopers with a new helmet mold and Rebel Navy Troopers.

As I posted on reddit: It's fake. The distances between logo and the information text isn't correct and LEGO would never put anything with such a bad lighting on the box. Ever. You can also see some artifacts from cutting the model out of a photo, and the background is way too plain.
