  1. Hey guys, I just wanted to share this set I got today with my Lego shop order (airjitzu temple). It is from disney princesses and frozen the movie. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1450/24172007719_2625dd0c38_k.jpg' alt='24172007719_2625dd0c38_k.jpg'>Olaf by Vincent ST, auf Flickr[/img] I think it is actually pretty neat. I am not a fan or actually knew anything about this set line but you can easily rid the snowman of his beach hell ^^ and place some figs on it. Also the pieces are quite nice for other sets. I especially like the blue plate. Either way, I just wanted to share this set with you and well have a nice day :)
  2. My most recent Star Wars purchase was Annakin's Jedi Interceptor, set 9494. I like it because i got it for a very good price new and unopened. Really great value for the money as you get annakin, obi wan, a droid and a vice roy. You do not see that a lot now a days.
  3. Hey Star Wars fans. I am sure some of you already got the 2016 Obi Wan Starfighter and realized that the cockpit is pretty crap and there is no place for a lightsaber. I am also sure some people have thought of better solutions than I did but I just wanted to share what I did to fix this. With a little 1x1 stud with clasps I made a lightsaber holder below the ship. Here is a pic :) https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1468/24417812182_f8949f2db8_k.jpg' alt='24417812182_f8949f2db8_k.jpg'>Obi Wan MOC by Vincent ST, auf Flickr[/img] I also am thinking of rebuilding this fighters center piece like annakins green interceptor (9494). Any thoughts? I am always happy to interact with people :) Thank you for reading
  4. In my best knowledge I think a furry is a person who dresses up as a fox or animal and identify as said animals. This also leads to sexual experiences in that area and so on. Too much for me tbh and too weird. But here http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=furry
  5. i can't count all of it atm but I would say around 50 plus or minus. It stared with Star wars and city but now I am expanding to 90s sets like systems and also ninjago
  6. Dude i feel you, im running out of space fast and don't have time to go to Ikea :D especially my wall of lego boxes is getting to full. I generally do not care what people think of my Lego hobby as there are worse hobbies and a lot weirder ones :)
  7. I bought the Lego Ninjago temple of Airjitzu on the Lego site as it was cheapest there :)
  8. In all honesty sometimes I feel like i get weird looks when I buy lego in stores but in the end I do not really care as they will forget anyhow. I am lucky that my GF supports my hobby and doesn't judge me on it. I do not know what my friends think of it but they don't care much either. I stick to ordering Lego online ;) But I do feel a bit weird at times and then I remember that I could be a brony or furry so its all right. Besides most of us I think grew up with Lego and that's why we buy it. You shouldn't be scared or ashamed of liking something so awesome :) (note: sorry if anyone is a brony or furry here)
  9. I have all my sets in cabinets or showcases from Ikea since they have some cheap good ones that close and prevent dust from coming in. I have them all in my "office" or game room as it is the cleanest room and the one with least dust as I de dust it daily :)
  10. Hey. for a while or in the past I did not save the boxes but as of recently when I started to collect again I started to save the boxes and instructions simply because I have a wall of boxes (see pic) https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1539/24436348901_38f375f46b_k.jpg' alt='24436348901_38f375f46b_k.jpg'>Lego Collection 3 by Vincent ST, auf Flickr[/img] and because if I decide to sell some sets the value goes up when you have the boxes.
  11. Hmm this is a great topic. I have a little teabox where I but in my clear pieces (stands) and small plates that I use for display purposes. Small parts that usually come as extra pieces I have in small plastic plates and bigger ones in a plastic box. When it comes to storing actual sets I like to have closed display stands from Ikea (the glass ones) as they reduce dust. Sadly I am running out of space and have some sets in the open like my death star and some ninjago sets until I can get more closed cabinets. I make sure to de dust my room daily with swiffers though :)
  12. I think one of the oldest lego sets I have is from the aquazone line from 1994 or 8 if im not mistaken. Lots of childhood memories :)
  13. I tried this once to replicate part of a lego star wars set: Palpatines arrest. I really liked the landing platform and main door. So I went to bricklink. I really love bricklink but replicating sets can be hard. The price I think is alright especially for non star wars sets as the pieces might be more accessible but you will probably have to buy form a vast amount of stores as most stores do not have all parts. I think it is a fun experiment and you can certainly save money if you do extensive searching.
  14. Personally I love Lego Ideas it is a great Idea to actually fulfill your dream. But I do agree that some things should not be on Lego Ideas. Tv replicas and such I can accept as it is always fun to have it in your room in Lego form but you can also build it yourself. The issue I have with Lego Ideas is the people that make magnificent projects that have about 5000 bricks and expect it to actually sell. It won't sell simply because Lego will not spend the money or the amount of bricks on such projects. Also I do not want to spend that much money on a set which just looks cool and has no deeper meaning to me. Those are the sets or ideas I think should not be on Lego ideas.
  15. Hey guys and girls, fellow Lego fans. My name is Vincent and I am currently 21. Lego has been a part of my life since I was a child and I think the most sets I had were Lego Star Wars but I had a variety. One thing I realized now after growing up and buying my own Lego is how lucky I was in my childhood to get the amounts of Lego I did as it can be quite costly. Lego was always part of my life but only recently I decided to start a collection again so that was about 3 years ago. My favorite sets or themes are Star Wars and Ninjago (as of last week) but I enjoy all themes mostly. It all depends on the look for me. I am currently looking for an apprenticeship to get my future going (to buy more Lego) BUT I also have a Lego Blog where I do reviews and share my passion with people. It would be a dream to actually live off of that or do that as a big time hobby. I am honestly did not join this forum to advertise t but If you'd like to check my blog out here is the link: http://legovincent.blogspot.de/ I think the set I am most proud of owning is my Collection of the Slave 1 which includes the first slave 1 all up to the UCS slave 1 Finally I guess I will share my collection with you guys. Lego Collection 2 by Vincent ST, auf Flickr[/img] https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1539/24436348901_38f375f46b_k.jpg' alt='24436348901_38f375f46b_k.jpg'>Lego Collection 3 by Vincent ST, auf Flickr[/img] Thank you guys for reading this and I hope to be a good member to this great community.
  16. Thank you guys especially DR. Cogg. I did not know there was a TV show so I will check that out. THank you again.
  17. Hi guys, recently I started to buy Ninjago sets as I really started to like the temples and general theme. But I know nothing of the Theme. I always see treasure maps and busts and lots of interesting items but do not understand them in relation to the theme. So I am wondering if anyone could provide a link to the story or explain it quickly or tell me where I can learn about it. Thank you in advance. :)
