Post Your Superhero Minifig Collections Here!
Captain Britain replied to c0rnedfr0g's topic in LEGO Licensed
That's the one! They are 50 x 50cm IKEA Ribba frames (£9 over here) and then I got the 48 x 48 baseplate and fixed it to the backing/board using double sided mounting tape. I put a strip on each corner which stuck to the white backing card then a strip in the middle which stuck to the wooden backing behind it (there was an empty square in the middle of the backing card). The tape I used is called 'Unibond No More Nails'. Don't worry though - the tape does come off if you want it to without leaving marks on the back of the plate as I gave it a test. The figures are just stood on inverted roof tiles. The capes sit nicely over the slope part so they don't get bent up/trapped. For people like Penguin I just used one of those hinge pieces (not sure on the correct term!). Will forward it in a PM to you also though! And I completely get where you're coming from TheLegoDr! I would have had them all in line but to take each frame apart, move everyone along one place, then put them all back every time a new Iron Man comes out for example wouldn't do the frames any good as the little clips that hold the backer in would end up breaking/falling out which would leave me with a bit of a problem! I prefer not having to open the frames up once they are complete. I think the only duplicate figures I've got would be Venom but for some reason on Bricklink he's given 2 different reference numbers but seems pretty much identical (maybe it's the black spines?). The Batman ones are type 1 cowl and type 2 cowl, and Loki is the variant with his different staff/different cape (sh033 and sh033a?) -

Cheers Mercury! Hoping to start on a 4th frame soon once I've picked up a couple more sets to finish off the 3rd. -
Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
Captain Britain replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Haha I know what you mean! Argos done a 3 for 2 last year and I came home with about 9 different sets to make the most of it! At least she's laughing instead of angry . Welcome! I'm looking forward to getting the airport set.. the updated Scarlet Witch looks brilliant! As does War Machine. I think the CW sets are going to be on the back burner for me until I've picked up the Avenjet, Batcave, Gotham Cycle and the DC Mighty Micros.. I'll get there eventually though! They'd come a lot sooner but the Batcave needs to be done in double VIP points and I want Mr Freeze.. so I need to spend £50 on DC in April -

Nicely done! I'm toying with the idea of picking up the Avenjet Space Mission set from Argos or something today. I really shouldn't but it's calling me . Think I need some self control but it's hard when it comes to Lego! Now I've just remembered it's double points too.... damn!! -

Your expierence with fake lego clones products
Captain Britain replied to YellowCorvette's topic in Community
I haven't got many fake Lego products.. picked up a Future Foundation minifig set and Invisible Woman along with Mr Fantastic both seem pretty good to be fair to them. Spidey's head was a bit messed up (the stud on top of the head is basically non existent and his legs are loose as anything). The other ones I've picked up are Iron Man Mk 1 which to be fair is actually spot on, it looks brilliant! Phoenix was good too. -

Does anyone have an idea what the SH number for Cosmic Boy is likely to be? Couldn't see anything on Bricklink just yet for a number, might be a bit early? Ordered him from eBay and he arrived yesterday in the post, don't think I've had something arrive so quickly from America before?! Really like the minifig. The printed discs are cool. Shame his leg print is ever so slightly off on one leg but I'm happy with the purchase! Cost me $20 but that included shipping to the UK too..- 8,446 replies

Oh jeez! I had huge bins full of Lego when I was a kid. Half of it my own, half handed down from my brother etc. I sold it all at a car boot sale in my teens because I got out of Lego (as a few do in there teens.. priorities change right?!) but got back into it about 3 or so years ago when I picked up the little Captain America set with the Chitarui in. I've regretted selling it since then.. there must have been all sorts of Star Wars minifigs in there plus some really cool builds! I think one of my first sets that I remember was a Western one with a bank? Loved that!!

I particularly like the harpoon gun railings on their build

I too would like to know this :) also... still Super Heroes - does anybody have a clue if they'll release new key rings? Same with Star Wars but I know this isn't the threat for that theme.- 8,446 replies

Here's mine with a bit of an update! They are finally on the wall... And a close up of some newer additions, and how they hold their flippers! Got to make sure Scuba Captain America looks a bit different to Space Suit Captain America :D. I would say the only downside is certain extras not being able to fit in properly. Doc Ock's tentacles for example, or Yellow Jackets... backpack thing? Still.. overall I'm very pleased with how it's all turned out! Edit: And yes... DC and Marvel are still mixed for me because they are by Bricklink number reference! It's too much hassle to keep taking them down, re-arranging and re-adding every time a new Iron Man or Batman comes along! The little holder clips that keep the backing in don't take much abuse! Oh double edit.. thanks to Captain Nemo for the posting pictures tutorial, and thanks to Dr_Spock for helping me out with the tube piece for the flippers. -
Nice! The only minifigure ones I've collected from the blind bags are the 2 Simpsons ones and the Monster ones they did. I would have liked to have tried to do the others recently too but Superheroes are my main focus to collect which takes up a lot.

Nice! You collect the minifigs? Wasn't today but at the weekend I picked up Iron Skull Sub Attack and a couple of key rings. Love the Scuba Iron Man minifig! That'll be it for a while though, time to save the pennies and sell off some bits whilst double points is on so I can try pick up the Batcave before 22nd!

Haha I love it! Thanks for sharing.

Yep - another reason why I don't believe he'll be in CW. I think it was just a mixing up of words from Mackie. I think I'd prefer it that way too. We've already got a bucket load to watch/enjoy in CW. And wasn't it teased that Thor Ragnarok would include a story line for Hulk that we've always wanted? Anyways this is all off topic. Nobody knows what the deal is with the 4th Civil War set until we get some solid news on it. Spider-Man would seem an obvious choice with him being hidden in everything and what with Tragic Banjo's Vision pic but that's about it? -

Anthony Mackie mentioned Mark Ruffalo along with Robert Downey Jr / Chris Evans/ Scar Jo etc doing some really good acting but then later back tracked and said he meant in general in the MCU. Be interesting to see if he pops up though! I'd assume not though with what happened at the end of AoU. -
Is that a little King Shark I see in the bottom left?

I dropped Lego and e-mail about this to see what the deal was.. the response back was.. We can tell you that the sets that you are after, LEGO® set 76051 Super Hero Airport Battle and the LEGO® set 76047 Black Panther Jet are about to become available in our shop.lego.com. The official launch date was the 1st of March, this is why you have already seen the sets in places such as Argos, but don't worry because you will be able to buy them and build VIP points as well, since the sets will be shortly announced in our site, just keep an eye on our website, shop.lego.com, since they are about to be released. That was on 3rd March though - so not exactly speedy! -

They've still got the AoU set available with Scarlet Witch in and we've just got her so assuming it would be a MCU version once again. We can hope for a comic version though :)
