  1. Haha sorry I meant to send this link http://brickfanatics.co.uk/more-on-the-lego-2016-daily-mail-giveaway/ i will edit the post too
  2. I have been looking forward to getting the Batmobile polybag since seeing it to add to my collection as I have all the Batman vehicle polybags. As it was not a promotion during the BvS launch or whilst the film was out I assumed that here in the UK it would be included in the Daily Mail polybag promo run. Now I read this is not the case! http://brickfanatics.co.uk/more-on-the-lego-2016-daily-mail-giveaway/ I am more than disappointed to say the least. BUT does anyone happen to have any UK info on when and where we can get the poly or any of the others we have missed (Venom Symbiote etc) so far here in the UK?
  3. It's disappointing not to see any TFA stuff in the Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar this year. Anyone know why no TFA figures are included? Are any vehicles?
  4. I like the Jokerland and Cycle Chase Harley's but it's just I have such a soft spot for the original costume from BTAS that I think I will have to buy the Dimensions pack even though I don't have game. The "Mad Love" episode and comic is just pure Harley Quinn for me. Don't get me wrong I like having the other versions as they look fantastic in minfig form. My only gripe is that we don't have a hairpiece with red and black printing to complete the Jokerland New 52 fig look. Depending on response to the movie alla BvS I might consider getting the killer Croc set later in the year to get a Suicide Squad line up.
  5. Picked up all the DC Mighty Micros and the Harley Bike set at the weekend along with Supergirl keyring (which I removed the keyring and replaced the blonde hair) to make £50 and grab the classic Mr Freeze. I absolutely love the Bat Pod-esque Bike despite the scale being a bit too large to fit with my tumbler and bat to finish TDK vehicles. Harley Quinn is amazing and has made me want to grab the original harley from a few years back so I get all the versions. The mighty Micros are far more fun and enjoyable than I was expecting. I think they make a great addition to the line and have amazing playability and applications (albeit with some minor adjustments and buying minifig legs on pick-a-brick) beyond just being the OTT kiddie style I was expecting. Slightly off topic here and I hope no1 crucifies me for this but as a fan of the DC Micros can anyone recommend wether or not to get the Marvel ones? They don't look as good but I'm wondering if they will work well as a larger collection.
  6. I feel like I am checking this forum every day for an update on the 4th CA:CW set or to a lesser extent the Doctor Strange set... why are we being made to wait so long if they will be released in May or June?
  7. They do sell DK books on the lego store online but the DC one has not popped up. It is currently only £7 on Amazon UK though!
  8. When I was in store the other day they had a flyer saying with £50 on dc purchases. But the online store is different. Luckily I know them at the Lego store and they will just give me one for being a super guy ;)
  9. Here's to hoping that Suicide Squad movie won't be a disaster... the BvS batmobile has actually made me resent my lego version a tad for being in such an awful film. My views have definitely tainted my perception of DC in film... once they could do no wrong with the dark knight trilogy... oh those were the days.
  10. Just saw BvS and whilst I can't say I am a fan , the sets are surprisingly accurate. I can't imagine any child going along with convoluted plot though.
  11. Anyone else notice the Bane big fig on the dvd cover???
  12. It is actually any purchase over £50 in the UK. just checked.
  13. Still no airport battle or black panther jet in the lego online store... what are they playing at?
  14. We have yet to get a Thor movie set but as it is rumored to be a buddy up film with Hulk I think we could see one this time. At least I hope so. I don't mind if some of the films just get minifig polybags as with the MCU films all the characters cross over anyway. I'm most looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy wave. Already planning on getting them all regardless of seeing them haha.
  15. Just looked on the lego store website in the UK and they have listed Crossbones Hazard Heist as the only CA:CW set. All the Mighty Micros are there but no Airport or Black Panther Jet? Anyone else know why this would be?
  16. I usually don't complain much about stuff Lego brings out but been reading a hell of a lot of negativity surrounding various super hero character designs recently. Whilst I would have liked to have seen a Black Panther helmet it seems no one has complained about the same headpiece for White Tiger? As its a skin tight mask for both characters the head piece seems to fit well but it does somewhat look off. It makes the forehead look way too large. However it is Lego it is supposed to be simplistic. I am wondering if I should Bricklink him or get the set as I already have Cap and Winter Soldier.... hmmmmmmm decisions decisions. Would be really good if we knew who was in the 4th set as it would inform purchases much easier...
  17. Absolutely loving the Juniors set. I was disappointed with the BvS Lex and already had Wonder Woman so didn't get the Batwing set but this more than makes up for it. I may not get any of the other DC sets in this summer wave but might bricklink some of the figs as after spending £230 on the batcave my wallet wont have any space for Bat tanks!
  18. But Wonder Woman is the first film from DC for 2017 with a summer release in June. Justice League isn't scheduled for release until November. I predict 2 maybe 3 sets for WW then a full 4 maybe 5 or even 6 wave set for Justice League.
  19. Ah they must throw left over polybags into christmas orders then. Looks like I lucked out with Winter Soldier as I needed him and didnt fancy buying the Helicarrier which is how you got it in the UK!
  20. I agree. The movie doesn't seem to fit with the Lego brand as a toy company and having "Suicide" in the title will probably go against a lot of their company ethos... Having said that they made a Heath Ledger Joker and he was just as messed up... I'd be happy if the only psudo Sucide Squad based set was this one though as Harley and Deadshot are paramount and seeing as we should be getting Killer Croc and already have plenty of Jokers all is fine by me
  21. Hoping to see more polybags for super heroes coming up. We always get a spidey one but why not a avengers, civil war or maybe even dr strange x Also I received a winter soldier polybag I hadn't ordered in a box of Star Wars stuff I ordered from Lego just before Christmas. Has this happened to anyone else before?
  22. Oh really? Also do you know if we are getting any more of the team as I would love Power Man and Iron Fist!
  23. Just bought and built Kryptonite Interception last night. There was no Clash of Heroes in the Lego shop on my way home so will have to wait a little longer for that. I love the Batmobile and the build / look is awesome but feel that the Batman minifig, whilst being fairly faithful to the design in the film, is a bit... meh. Just placed it next to the latest variant (from Jokerland) and they look very similar except the "fat bat" and the shiny overlay. I think I'm more excited for the Armoured Batman fig. Similarly the forklift is a bit of a shite vehicle and henchmen, unless they are imaginitive like Joker or Two-face guys then I can rather do without if you ask me... Can't see these lasting long on my already cluttered DC villains display. Overall I was always going to get this set for the Batmobile and having the BvS Bats is a plus but would rather this set was more £20-25 than £30... throw in a Doomsday bigfig and I would not be complaining but a forklift and two non named figs is a slight let down. I will wait for the Juniors Lex Luthor set rather than sky high as batwings dont do it for me. AL ABOUT THE CARS WITH BATS!
  24. X-men vs Sentinel worst selling set of 2014? Hmmmmmm.... Whilst that is one of my favorite sets ever, it would make sense. I suppose kids these days want toys that match the TV shows they are into and there hasn't been a decent X-men tv show since the 90s. The 90s inspired design and X-Jet though still gets a big thumbs up for me. On a related note, I'm really looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 sets next year. Does anyone know or think we will get upcoming MCU Spider-man movie sets instead of Ultimate Spidey stuff then too?
  25. Although it seems the 4th BvS set was dismissed and we are getting a Bats and Supes vs Lex Juniors I think DC really missed a trick with putting together the Doomsday bigfig set... The ONLY villain in the BvS sets is Lex and he is in the most expensive set... For them to only release another Lex set in the summer... I have a feeling that may be down to the release of the film being pushed back and Lego not being informed of the Doomsday reveal at all when designing the sets as it seems to obvious to leave out? Still the BvS sets do feel a bit thin as wave especially Kryptonite Interception which feels like it is missing an element to the set for the price and I believe that to be the Doomsday bigfig! I reckon Lego are kicking themselves about that but how could they have known?
