  1. It’s live in the US now and I was successful in ordering one
  2. Anyone had luck in the States yet?
  3. It never ceases to amaze me that a company the size of and with the financial resources of Lego consistently has these problems with their website when there is a new product launch. Their IT department needs a real knuckling
  4. Mie shipped yesterday, finally!
  5. I live in the States but am currently in London. Woke up at 5:00am local time to try and order and it wasn't available. Its now 12:45 and its still not available. I have never been this willing to give some $800 and them not want to take it!
  6. Just left the Lego store and they don't have early access fro VIPs on the Snowspeeder. It's not available online yet either...
  7. β€’ Includes lots of molded golden elements, reflective golden labels and medium-blue/dark-blue elements. Translation, a lot of stickers. Set looks great, I am glad that they brought the fair ground series back this year.
  8. Does anyone know the dimensions? I cannot read them on the image.
  9. 2.3 studs on the US site and only 44% would recommend it... As many have said, I would consider buying this in the $125 to $150 price range.
  10. Here are some more pictures and the designer video. http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/movies/2016/02/13/exclusive-star-wars-lego-set-assault-on-hoth/80317552/
  11. I use a make up brush. They come in different sizes so you should be able to get one small enough to reach the hard to get to places. It does take forever to clean them though...
  12. it is solid, now the gun array that attaches to the bottom of it is another story...
  13. I built mine over the course of a week, a couple bags each day. I am guessing you could do it in a day if you put your mind to it. I usually prefer to build larger sets spread over a few days, makes me feel like I am getting more bang for my buck
  14. Ewok Village, this was pretty much an impulse purchase for me. I always liked the set but didn't get it because I thought it was more of a play set than a display piece. With it retiring and a similar style Hoth set coming out, I decided I should get it now before I have change my mind in the future and have to pay twice as much.
  15. Well, I used credit card points so technically it didn't cost me anything
  16. A little under $400 with prime shipping, best price I have seen since I have been watching it recently. I found MISB ones on bricklink for around $325 plus shipping but the little extra on Amazon is worth the convenience.
  17. Just ordered the FB off amazon, I like the older, larger style more than the newer, smaller and more detailed modulars we have gotten recently. I have all of them but the first three now which sadly, due to the prices, I will never get.
  18. Agreed, I have said it before but this is my favorite set that I own.
  19. I called and few weeks ago they told me it was back ordered but didn't give me a date, they said it would ship once back in stock.
  20. I have never bought any of the creator expert architecture line but I am trying to gather more support from the missus for my expensive hobby. She is a fan of the real Big Ben and when I told her about this set she was excited and suggested we build it together Is there any consistency from Lego as to when the sets are usually released or has anyone heard when this will hit shelves?
  21. A new Falcon or AT-AT would be great. I remember a while back one of the designers was talking about wanting to be able to do a new UCS ISD, I don't remember where I saw this but that would be nice as well.
  22. I haven't opened mine yet but that is nice to hear. I agree that lesser quality is not something we need to be happy about but it's probably the new norm. If Lego can reduce the thickness and dimensional size of boxes without damaging the overall quality too much they are going to do so to cut cost and increase profit. It would be nice if the cost savings were passed to us in the form of lower or flat set prices but that is another topic
  23. I think it is something that we are going to continue to see. Just look at the instruction manuals, they all seem to be tightly wrapped these days and they have done away with the cardboard backing.
  24. I picked up mine today too and noticed the same thing about the box. Thinner cardboard = lower packaging costs.
