Pictures? Please tell me you mean pictures from the German Toy fair! I thought you were allowed to? I've seen a few pictures of other products shown there today...

I agree! Thats why i think, if we do eventually see battlepacks it will probably be inbetween 2 waves so that people buy the sets first

Actually the Uruk-Hai are on average only 5' 5", slightly shorter than man Back on topic though, this wont even be represented on a lego scale. But im still interested to see how they'll be represented, especially the goblin ears...

I always belived that goblins were uncommanded orcs that have no order and are in different 'tribes'. But, when saruman starts his armies he takes the goblins and gives them orders and the means to build weaponary at which point they become more developed orcs. So orcs are more intelligent than goblins and its just coincidental that the only goblins shown in the film were in the mines with big eyes while others do exist. As for Uruk-Hai, obviously genetically modified Orcs, however the origins are never confirmed, the most popular theory is that they are Human-Orc Hybrids. Either way, I'm darn excited for this line!

I'm with you on this one deskp, it does look considerably better with the eyes lowered. I knew somthing was out of place but i couldnt quite put my finger on it

Hmmmm, true. But the sides would look so bare. I really hope lego pulls it out of the hat and produces a mold

What I dont grasp, is all of you people claiming that it will be 'printed', well how would that be done? A gold circle on an already gold tile? How would it stand out from the tile? Or would the 'elven' text be printed around the side which would be slightly better. I suppose you could flip the tile upside down to make it look like it has a hole it but still, that doesnt sit well with me

I look at this which is the closest thing to the ring so far and think no, just no I mean for such an important item if not THE most important item not to be a new part is just silly really

Well if it fits on a stud then it would fit on a minifigs hand similar to how one can hold a normal stud. and as for too big, by logic it would be pretty much the exact same size as a 1x1 round tile

I myself don't expect there to be too many variations i think maybe 3-4 different legs and torsos, maybe a few more individual heads. It will be interesting to see

I think Legolas does come with Helms Deep, he's holding the bow. Granted though, i believe it is a stand in for the real thing. I think the sets will just be refined, meaning the actual minifigs themselfs included and maybe a slightly reduced brick count to keep cost down? But i dont really think they need improving that much myself

Im still wondering about the pricing myself How much, on average, is the normal coat of a wave of lego? I need to get saving I think it will come out at around £300 for the lot, I hope Christmas is kind to me As for gollum, by the picture, his arms are definatly posable! i dont think his legs are, just a hinge on his waist to bend backwards and forwards. But still! I cannot wait!

Well this topic has finally encouraged me to join the discussion! So far i think wesker's prediction for the minifigs seems about right. What interests me is that there's only so many vehicles in middle earth - and we all know of TLG love of vehicles What i think will happen is prehaps, aside from Gandalfs cart, that we will see numerous brick built monsters instead of vehicles with minifigs included! Like the mines of moria- a brick built troll/balrog with minifigs. As for helms deep, i can see somthing similar to the current Hogwarts set where multiple ones are released but able to connect so that different parts of helms deep from the different films could be joined together. Either way, i have been losing sleep over this I hope that the ring is a chrome gold ring and not just a 1x1 round tile. For such a key part of the series, yoiu would of thought it justifyed a new piece

Well i always questioned lego about the use of oversized boxes, i mean if diagon alley is near enough double the amount of bricks (or somwhere in that region) why not just make the boxes smaller, i think its ever since they made the boxes less thick

Well i did phone DHL to rearrange it so after 10 minutes of listening to relaxing hold music i finall got through and they said that the newest delivery time they could give was monday or pay to have it delivered saturday. And i didnt get a note or anything, i just live in an average detatched house to be fair from what i guess its a bigger box than the hogwarts one and has the free keyring with it so theres not really anywhere safe to leave it and i know i would have grumbled even if they had left it outside (my poor baby getting all cold and wet ) plus the nearest collection hub is birmingham and im not willing to travel that far

can't belive i missed my delivery today! now i have to wait until monday to receive it

whaaaay! just got an email saying its been shipped a whole 7 days early

fantastic review :D i really regret not getting this set now, i forgot to order it alongside diagon alley and now all the argos' nearby are sold out, guess i'll just have to keep my eye out, but this would never of happened when woolworths was around i'll be swapping new hooch's cape for the old one

well the knightbus was always one of my favorite sets (although with diagon alley on order that could soon change) and i cant really see much scope for improvement on the last one though??? i mean the beds could be a bit better and some more interior bits and peices but that would mean making it out of scale with the ford, obvioulsy ernie needs to be in there somewhere instead of stan driving, it would be nice to have a death eaters mask on the other side of stans face but his hat wouldnt cover it :/ anywho i look forward to the battle set and the forbidden forest (hopefully with more creatures)

Well i finally got round to putting my money in the bank and ordered it last tuesday just as the 11th of january backorder was made, but in the heat of the moment i treated myself to express delivery and as yet i havnt had an email saying my shipments been changed to the 22nd so hopefully that express delivery payed off
