  1. I went to my local Post Exchange (PX) and counted 30 boxes of series 15. It was crazy to see so many orange packs!!! The are charging $2.97 per pack. I already have a full set, but I picked up 2 more Knights, a Golden Warrior and another Shark Guy.
  2. PM sent. Let me know if we can make a deal.
  3. Happy Columbus Day! I got a full set from an endcap at Target this morning plus 2 extra battle goddesses and huns. I felt tons of rock stars, so now I'm an expert at feeling his hair piece. Piggy guy is hard to feel. You have to feel his huge mask with ears and then feel for the apple which the same size as the minifig head. I put all the packets in an October advent calendar for my kids to open up for the final 16 days of October. I made sure spooky girl is on 31 October. I think the kids will be excited when they see it after school today!
  4. This is a really fantastic series if you are a fantasy or historica fan like me. The best since series 7 IMHO. The big question now is: what will be the ratios? I'm hoping each figure will be 3 per box. I'll be disappointed if the Greek goddess is only 2. It'd be nice if the Hun will be in army builder quantities 5 or more per box. Any guesses? Kinda hard to tell with this series.
  5. Hello - I have a sealed TC-14. Sent you a PM.
  6. Hi, I’m a long time lurker in GoH. As a Lego enthusiast, I love looking at all the detailed Medieval MOCs. Several times I’ve been tempted to join a guild, start building and take pictures to post. What has stopped me is no real hook for newcomers to join. I’m still confused how it all works. I think that I’m supposed to make a sig fig with a story? Then I can start making free builds for my guild? If a challenge comes along, I can build something specific for it? I would love to build some Dwarven MOCs for Mitgardia and some Elven MOCs for Avalonia, but I don’t think that’s permitted. For what it’s worth from an outsiders perspective, I think a very simple newbies guide to help newcomers get started would be helpful. Like I said it’s all very confusing when you first wander in…heck, I’ve been lurkering for 2 years and I still haven’t figure out how everything works officially.
  7. Love the dwarf statue. There have been a few Dwarven statue MOCs that I seen in the past. Yours ranks right up there with the best of them! I'm hoping to do one myself.
  8. I don't think anyone has mentioned that the "Evil-Mech" is another Blacktron figure...check out the triforce symbol on his chest. Also, I think Space builders will have a heyday with the Welder parts as greblings.
  9. Lego did make the braided hairpeice in blonde. Thanks! I think I found the winner.
  10. Sandy, Thanks for tracking these for everyone. I've used your thread as a resource to build my royal families. Don't forget to add the green princess from the upcoming 10223 Kingdoms Joust.
  11. I can't tell, will the new Batman figs be the same as the previously released sets OR new figures?
  12. When the new 10223 Kingdoms Joust set comes out, I think the green princess is ideally suited for an Elf princess. I want a blond hair piece to match my CMF elves. What's my best choice?
  13. Great set...these keep getting better and better (although I'm very partial to series 7). My thoughts: 1. Leprechaun - love anything thing mythology or fairytale based. Might need to put this one in my pantry with the breakfast cereal. 2. Flapper - good continuation of the western theme, but kind of meh?! 3. Outlaw - good continuation of the western theme, just not into western MOCs, but I'm sure those that are will be happy 4. Lady Liberty - cool fig, could even be used with the new x-men figs to recreate the movie scene with Mystique 5. Minotaur - yes! something for my gladiator to battle. 6. Surgeon - I'm sure someone will do something very creative with this fig 7. Mechanic - Go grease lightnin! 8. Gray Alien - as other have said, this is kind of a funny choice with all the lime green aliens from Alien Conquest, but I'm a fan of the X-files, so this suites me better. 9. sk8er girl - like the hair, but had enough with the first two. 10. Pajama boy - I like the fig and the teddy, has possibilities 11. Lady Spaceman - love the attitude; she looks all about the pink justice. Glad to have a match made in space for our series 1 guy to battle Blacktron scum. 12. Legionaire - As with others, I'm wiping the drool off my keyboard. I'm sure we'll see a lot of Roman armies popping up soon. 13. Toy Robot - Classic. Love it. 14. Highlander - my kind of army builder fig. Could this be as popular as the legionaire? Might be close. 15. Butcher - on not into the City theme, but this has got to be a good thing for those who are. 16. Genie - again, love anything thing mythology or fairytale based. Might need to take another look at the Prince of Persia sets.
  14. This is my favorite set yet. Not a dull figure in the bunch. My thoughts: 1. Computer Programmer - I'm taking this one to work with me :) 2. Bride - nice to have a chance to get the Princess Kate figure 3. Super Dave (stunt man) - if you haven't seen Super Dave from the 80s, go to Youtube right now 4. Valkyrie - might substitute one of the singer heads from the 1st winter village set for an opera singer 5. Tarzan - good match for Jane in series 5 6. Bunnyman - bring a smile to my face 7. Diver - as said by others, good for Celebration Luke medal 8. Tennis Star - now have a match for the Billy Jean figure 9. Rocker chick - classic 80s 10. Aztec - best figure in the set 11. Bagpiper - never thought I'd see this! Awesomeness. 12. Space Marine - army builder of the set (or should I say marine builder) 13. Hippie - again, never thought I'd see this 14. Black night - great figure, but mixed feelings with the Black Falcon figure being release in the new Jousting set 15. Red Riding hood - mostly want the red hood, but with the woodsman, who thinks a wolf suit figure is on it way? 16. King Triton - will look great atop the Atlantis ruins set
  15. Thanks again everyone. I want to start trading some minifigs on the trading/sale board. How do I access PMs? Do I need a minimum # of posts before this feature activates?
  16. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Lego is such a fun hobby because people of all ages can enjoy it. Lego is coming up with some great themes this year...
  17. I love the simplicity and elegance of your internal structures. The Guarded Inn reference (with red roof and rounded door) did not escape my notice either.
  18. This alien attack theme actually looks pretty good. The Earth Defense HQ reminds me of several classic space sets. I'm thinking that this is another nod for classic space fans as a follow-up to Space police 3!
  19. Hello, I'm a long time lurker, but new member to Eurobricks (the best site for news on Lego IMHO). I finally joined to hopefully share some of me and my boys (4 and 6) creations and do some trading on the trading/sales board. I came out of my dark age when the first Star Wars and Mission to Mars sets came out. Since then, I've primarily been interested in the Castle, Adventure, and SW sets. One of best Christmases I've had came a number of years ago when my wife surprised me with the Lord of the Rings movies and the Blacksmith Shop, reissued Black Falcons Fortress and reissued Guarded Inn. That was a fun Christmas and now my sons enjoy the castle sets. This past year we've collected all the Kingdoms sets (except the big red castle) and lego minifigure packs along with some Sponge Bob and Bionicles. I'm really liking the look of all the new HP sets this year and some of the clone wars sets. We might even pick up some Ninjago and Pharaoh's Quest set as well if my wallet holds out. Wishing you a happy 2011 and year of building fun! Josh
