  1. Perhaps, but I'm not sure the movie and promotional banner a few pages back would reflect that. No problem with that, it's just that Dawson isn't white, and Barbara is Gordon's daughter. Be a little strange if he was the usual white flesh color, and his daughter is blackish. The fact that a family member is alongside her in the movie draws attention to the change.
  2. Batgirl looks blackish in the set photo too. Confirmed to be Barbara Gordon or no? I see some Suicide Squad movie influence in the Joker and Harley too. Joker with slicked hair, tattoos on his arms, and a gangster-y feel, with his outfit lacking an overcoat. Harley has a bomber-looking jacket with a t-shirt underneath. Swapping out her head and hair with the figure released in the Gotham City Cycle Chase set would get probably get you as close as you're going to get to a Squad movie minifigure.
  3. I kinda like it. Rather unorthodox for a Batmobile, but the rugged, offroad feel appeals to me. And having passed up the Manbat Attack set, I can get a Manbat from this instead.
  4. Picked up the BvS Ultimate BluRay on Tuesday, and it is a little clearer in a few areas. A great deal of the new footage is devoted to either Lois or Clark. Not their relationship, but Lois's investigation into Lex (With the debut of Jena Malone's Jenet Klyburn, and I think some more Jimmy Olsen than what was in the theatrical cut) and Clark's investigation into Batman, talking to people in Gotham and whatnot. Also, the African witness lady who badmouthed Superman on TV... Fight sequences are so slightly changed, the difference is negligible. The Ultimate movie is better, but not a whole step up. I enjoy both versions of the movie, but for the people who gave BvS a 30%, the Ultimate Edition may drag that up to a 35% or something. The Behind The Scenes stuff is a good addition, though. With specific sections for Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Batmobile, Lex, the Batcave, and one or two others, along with a piece on the future of the DCEU with footage from Wonder Woman (2017) and Suicide Squad, it's pretty neat. Not as deep as the bonus stuff on Man of Steel, but still good stuff for a DC fan.
  5. Y'all need to go outside. Get some fresh air or something. God.
  6. Justice League Action, coming around fall, I think. I wouldn't expect any sets based on it, period. I'll watch it, but it looks a cut below the original shows/YoungJustice.
  7. I repeat: I hate Walmart. Drove to 3 Walmarts, in ascending order of likeliness to have it, and come home empty-handed. Ordered it online, and will probably do so from now on. May as well give Lego 100% of the profit instead of splitting it with the crappiest retailer in America. And it'll probably still get here before my Walmarts get 'em.
  8. I'm too "instant-gratification" and hate buying anything online that I can find in stores. The idea of sucking it up, ordering it online, and then finding it somewhere (And the rewarding feeling of luck that comes with that), and passing it up because I'm already waiting on one in the mail feels like a kick in the nads. Plus paying for shipping on top of that is an extra stick in the eye. That said, I still haven't found Ra's anywhere. Walmart sucks . If I don't find it tomorrow, I'm biting the bullet and ordering it online.
  9. Random thought: people complained that Batman is too radical or brutal in BvS, that if even there's only a 1 percent chance of Superman going bananas, they have to treat it as an absolute certainty, I'm hoping that a Batman prequel will somewhat lead into that. Entertaining the theory that this Joker is actually Jason Todd, (warped by the original Joker, who Todd presumably killed) like ToddRobin saying that Batman is too soft on Joker to kill him. That "he has the power to destroy the entire city, and if you believe there's a 99% chance of that happening, you still don't take it as an absolute certainty" or something along those lines. And that Joker gets his hands on Todd, and that pushes Batman into that extremist mindset.
  10. "Walmart-exclusive" is a thing? That wasn't even on my radar.
  11. Is the Rescue From Ra's set a confirmed Target-exclusive set here in the States? Everything I've seen about it being a Target-exclusive set are from rumors so old that it was only that, a rumor, if it's officially exclusive or not. Just don't want to waste time checking other stores come July 1st.
  12. Not surprised on the Ra's price. $40 over here for 250 pieces would just be asinine. If the Brits are willing to spend 40 pounds on it, then power to them, but you'd never catch me spending $40 on that little of a set. With the release of the DC Rebirth (The New New 52), do you guys think we'll be getting figures based on that? Like how the New 52 Batman is in every set, how about this Batman in every set for a little while?
  13. A minor spoiler if you missed Arrow last night:
  14. As a fan of the CW DC shows and the Arkham games, I got Arrow's Deathstroke, Flash's Reverse-Flash, and Arkham Knight's Scarecrow a while ago. My first and only Mystery Mini was the Arkham Knight series and I got Scarecrow, which was pretty lucky. Also got the first Legion of Collectors (DC-specific subscription box) and the Armored Batman is pretty great. I'm stoked for the next one (5 more days!), based on the DC TV series', so hopefully more Flash and Arrow stuff. Not big on Supergirl, who's rumored to be the Pop in the next one. Also can't wait for the Suicide Squad stuff. The first Mystery Mini lineup I've seen where I wouldn't mind getting any of them while I hope for a masked Deadshot.
  15. I know it's a 2017 thing, but I ask because it factors into a 2016 set purchase. I hated Lex (Saw the movie Saturday), and I have a DoJ Batman and Superman already (Superman without boots), so the only thing that I like about it is WW and I'm a little partial to the Batwing, but the plane and 1 good minifigure for $60? I don't know. Yes they do, but
  16. Is it more or less guaranteed that we're getting a set (Or sets) for the Wonder Woman movie? I want a DCEU Wonder Woman minifigure (Without getting just the minifigure second-hand), so I've been thinking about getting the Batwing set, but I'm really not crazy about the set at all and am willing to wait for a WW-specific set, as long as there will be one.
  17. Saw Dawn of Justice today. Really want a Doomsday now. Movie, comic, or otherwise.
  18. I don't stress the playability too much when it comes to picking sets. It could have had Harley in a nun costume and Batman in the new BatPort-A-Potty and I still would've gotten it for Deadshot. (Also going to get the upcoming Croc set almost solely for the Suicide Squad figures, although the BatTank is a nice bonus for me) Googling the DPCI brings up Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas.
  19. That Quinjet is freaking hideous. Especially that shot from the back. That tailgate and landing gear looks like something a kid would build.
  20. With DPCI in hand, got my hands on the Gotham City Cycle Chase! The first (And hopefully, not last) Lego Deadshot, my first Harley Quinn, and some cool bikes for $20. So stoked.
  21. Going to check my local Target and ToysRUs for the Gotham City Cycle Chase, because Brickseek says they're in the inventory. I assume this means they're in the store, but may not be on the shelf? Does batting eyelashes and saying please grant a chance to receive one from the back?
  22. Upcoming sets: My must-buy: Gotham City Cycle Chase is my most anticipated, because of the first Deadshot figure and the first Harley Quinn that I like, and putting them both in a cheap pricepoint. My will-buy: I'll get the Croc set when it comes out, almost purely for the minifigures and their Suicide Squad film "association". Croc's vehicle is crap, and while I like the BatTank, it wouldn't be enough for me to buy the set if the villains weren't associated with the Squad. If it had the Joker or Bane or something, I wouldn't get it. My won't-buy: I like Scarecrow's combine, but other than that, the set does nothing for me. The Batcopter looks chunky to me, and the exposed studs on the fat tail makes it look like the designer got bored halfway through making it. Killer Moth (as a character) is lame imo, and I'd never even heard of the Blue Beetle before this. And the Batcave, I'm completely uninterested in, both the price and the content, other than maybe the Batmobile. I haven't seriously considered getting any Mighty Micros, but the gray Batman and Bane minifigures caught my eye. Current (In America, at least :P ) sets: I have the DoJ Batmobile and the Clash of Heroes. Batmobile is my favorite set, though it's not stock (Wider body, wheel tracks, lower guns, better headlights) and the minifigures are meh. Clash of Heroes a close second, with a meh build (Completely rebuilt this one) and cool minifigures. Armored Batman is awesome.
  23. Excited for the Croc set (For every aspect of it besides Croc's...thing), but just noticed the crease in the middle of the BatTank's body. http://zusammengebaut.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/lego-dc-comics-super-heroes-killer-crocs-sewer-smash-76055-international-toy-fair-2016-zusammengebaut-andres-lehmann.jpg Looks kind of goofy like that, I'm hoping that's a "battle-mode" or something, like the Arkham Knight Batmobile, and it flattens out in the meantime.
  24. At that pricepoint, I wouldn't say it's unreasonable. I didn't expect Deadshot to have arm printing, and that's a much cheaper set. All I'm thinking is, making a 60-70 dollar/pound set with recycled designs (Especially for the main villain) would be a big turn-off for a lot of buyers. Unless they're expecting Killer Moth or a gas-mask Batman (I'm expecting a Batman with a rebreather printed on one side of his head, like the Deep Sea Manta Strike's Batman) to be a big draw, helping you get over an old Scarecrow variant.
  25. A lot of complaining about a lack of Batman in the sewer set when people were huffing and puffing about him being put in every other 2015 set. ...Croc sewer set sounds cool, at least based on the figures. Don't care a lot about Croc, bigfig or not, but Red Hood, Katana, and Boomerang in one set sounds good to me. Love the Squad tie-in, especially coupled with the Gotham City Cycle Chase. I love Scarecrow as a character, but I'm not a fan of his old Lego design, nor do I care for Killer Moth. Scarecrow's design may be what makes or breaks the set for me. A hood and raggedy coat, Arkham-Knight-style, would be much more preferable to me than the old witch hat and tunic design. My 2 cents.
