  1. Thought of a new one: Wayne Manor $100 Large detailed modular manor (not like modular buildings) but can connect in different ways. Cypress trees and other foliage. Includes Bruce Wayne, Alfred etc. Maybe a car for Bruce Wayne to drive, Lamborghini anyone? It would be neat if it was based on TDK and there was a section under a waterfall for a batcave. Don't think it would include the tumbler as that uses a lot of parts but the batpod would be a good choice.
  2. so that is why the instructions say not to build on carpet/grass
  3. I wouldn't count on that I would agree one more full wave of POTC and it ends with the Flying Dutchman as the large exclusive of the theme.
  4. Honestly I liked your ideas and I don't see no problem with any of them. There wasn 't too many figs in either the Arena or Mustafar sets, because alot of those figs are droids and I don't think TLG counts droids as figs. (?) Incorrect, TLG can do whatever they want when they want. There is no guidelines or boundaries for them they do as they please. I think it is unlikely but more possible if the set has some droid like maybe 3 or more because TLG doesn't count those as figs (?). Example the MTT, 7929, albeit the majority of those are droids.
  5. Surprised we didn't have one. Might as well start one. DC Sets: Daily Planet: $50, 500+ Parts TDKR Tumbler: $50, 400+ parts TDKR Bat Pod: $10-$20, 100+ parts TDKR Bat Wing: $75, 600+ parts Anything Arkham City Batman Marvel sets: Iron Man's Lab/House: $50, 500+ parts
  6. James Cameron's AVATAR
  7. congrats to the winners!!! great job by everyone
  8. true from what we have heard the piece count is over 2000 which if true will make it the largest Pirate ship/set of all time produced by LEGO. I think possibly included could be the kraken unless it is from AWE then all the parts go to the ship. I would say at least 10+ figs and the price I would estimate minimum $250-$300+ USD. as for figs they could go Star Wars and give us figs that were never even in the scene
  9. nice, pics when finished right?
  10. interesting indeed
  11. great review! the white bricks w/numbers aren't included though right?
  12. great review! so the standard MSRP is $25? That is pretty good.
  13. oh that would be sweet we need to see more civilian and soldier type sets we got plenty of the main characters already
  14. No Source just my hopeless self Safe to assume since all the people who brought us news of other 2012 sets saw no indication of new sets. That coupled with the large Kingdoms Joust and LOTR coming out. However nothing is ever gone until TLG says so itself so there is still a chance but right now I seriously am doubting that.
  15. Indeed
  16. Nice, any hints to the other sets?
  17. This is surely a great achievment for Eurobricks having reached 20,000 members. As for why I joined, I remember like it was yesterday ( ) . But in order to get that story a brief history of how I found online LEGO communities. Back in the day and I mean really back in the day I used Lugnet, now I don't remember how I found Lugnet (but I did) and my favorite thing to do was research discontinued LEGO sets, after all some I had never seen before. Now this led to me wanting to purchase some of those sets. I don't remember how I found Bricklink but it was through Lugnet I believe and wow! It was a dream come true, virtually every LEGO related item ever released anything one would want to buy. This was in 2006, of course like most new people browsing I was skeptical of it, could the online sellers really be trusted at such reasonable pricing and selection? I decided to try out and have been a member ever since. Now I casually would browse the Bricklink forum sometimes only reading posts/topics that caught my eye. One of those was on new upcoming unreleased Star War sets TBA 2007, they just so happened to be 7666 and 7665 respectively. I was shocked, normally I would get news of new sets when the catalog came or from browsing the LEGO website, how could such information be obtained? I followed the links in the post and then it happened, I had discovered Eurobricks. It was a much different site back then the server was different and it had a different look and the slogan was "The European LEGO Fans Community". I thought about it and wondered if any Americans were members. This gave it a distinct international flavor which I enjoyed. For sometime I lurked and browsed and read reviews, about leaked news and I was impressed with the highly ordered forum and the graphics were top notch. The one thing that became synonymous with Eurobricks for me at least was the leaked pictures for any new LEGO item such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones and so on. I decided to become apart of this cool site in April of 2007. My member number is 1504 and back then I thought my number was super high and I was a noob but definitely less of a noob than Sinner (who joined after me) . Eurobricks is still the premier LEGO Community on the internet IMHO.
  18. interesting idea but poor execution.
  19. everyone had a chance to purchase the sets during the whole time it was for sale. Every set if you think about it has a limited amount produced, some more than others depending on production. Thus when sold out the remaining ones are all that are left out on the market forever. as time goes by they get harder and harder to find and the demand is much greater than the supply making the prices go up and up. As with any item that is popular/collected. You can't blame resellers as anyone could have done what they do buy a set while you can is probably the best advice anyone has ever said because then you won't have to worry about it when they are discontinued.
  20. its kinda getting crowded a little I think I would prefer both such as Classic Pirates and POTC at the same time and LOTR and Kingdoms. (Compare Star Wars and Space themes). Now I like the new parts and the logic of marketshare having two similar themes competing which is where the problem is.
  21. Kingdoms is indeed finished Castle on a hiatus for who knows how long.
  22. well the qoute in my original poste by On Stanger Tides knew of LOTR (as I think he is a LEGO employee), the chances went up again alot I would say, because if LOTR is true then I would expect the information on POTC 2012 to be correct too.
  23. thanks for that great clairfaticon from TLG, before it was very murky and I thought it was going to end up as a site no one really paid attention to.
  24. Butcher, Mechanic, Highlander and Roman.
  25. Love that Jedi Interceptor Seems pretty similar size wise to the old ones? Is the cockpit shield printing new? However that little lava for the platforms is useless . Same can't be said for Anakin
