  1. POTC not selling well is a myth indeed. I think so, TLG can keep under wraps whatever they want for when they are ready to release it. Pretty much every D2C set to date has debuted by an official LEGO press release and not by leaked images. Except for occasional set names and numbers. I heard many speak of seeing this set in a dealer catalog and those were reliable and trustworthy people, more than a few to discount this set as fake. That Brickset link is interesting, because if it indeed includes the Kraken then that would explain the rumored 2000 + piece part count. Right now I have it at a 50/50 chance for TLG releasing it in the summer.
  2. I have a question; is there a feature on the new version of LDD to upload parts to purchase on LSAH PAB? I know they discontinued "Design by Me", but I was wondering if they have made it possible to upload the parts to PAB online, so I don't have to manually add them to my cart? It would be very useful for seeing what parts PAB online has available and then being able to Bricklink the rest.
  3. I still value the original horse mold myself, it is classic and I love it. I plan to use both of the molds together, there are different horse breeds after all.
  4. If the next wave in January 2013 is to be DC, and if there are going to be 5 sets plus one exclusive, I am hoping for some diversity. I will take 1-2 Batman sets, 1-2 Superman sets and 1-3 new sets that contain Flash and the Green Lantern or another new DC Hero not made yet.
  5. Thanks for the info CopMike! I just hope they decide to expand the color range too. I would love to see white, tan, grey and nougat. A new barding to allow pose ability and new horse headgear sound great. I am looking forward to when those parts are introduced.
  6. The two Toy Fair Promo minifigs have been added to the poll, Captain America & Iron Man.
  7. Thank you doing this review. I have to say that this a surprising and interesting story. I decided to also give it a try, so I sent them an email (US Site). I hope they reply soon with good news because I would love to purchase one of these direct from them, if they have any left. This set is pure nostalgic Town, I have always admired it myself.
  8. If the next Train "Exclusive" comes in 2013, I am hoping for one of these: Redesigned/updated Santa Fe Super Chief with two cars BNSF, not the GP-38 again, but a modern design with new TTX cars New Modular Train Engine Shed Trolley A real working Tram Subway Train Monorail Streamliner
  9. I was thinking about gathering the parts for two Super Chief cars, one baggage and one observation car. Has anyone else tried this? I am guessing they will probably cost $100 each.
  10. And I thought I got a good deal on just one for $11, that is an amazing find indeed!
  11. Piranha

    Super Wars!

These are great, I love them all.
  12. Those are good ideas. I think I will have to give that a try myself, and let's not forget about a large BAM section too.
  13. Neither were the aliens, the various DC Henchmen etc, not every fig they are going to make will be mentioned in the press release. The only further evidence is when asked about what set he was going to appear in, TLG's response was they were not able to reveal those details yet, which would lead to believing that they are going to release him in a set in the near future.
  14. There are also chances for a few "Special Edition" type sets, I am expecting four this year, two each for Marvel & DC: DC: - Funhouse set (Confirmed) - TDKR set (Unknown) Marvel: - Spiderman set (Confirmed) - A set with Nick Fury (Unknown) Of course this is just pure speculation and the other two are not confirmed yet. After reviewing the press release, I am a bit confused though: Nick Fury is listed with the comic versions of X-Men?
  15. Thanks CopMike! That mini LEGO Store is really nice, too bad none of those stores that are opening are near me, but now I can do a parts build!
  16. Just for clarification, the Twitter response on the release date was for the Spiderman set, not anything involving Nick Fury. That is still unknown.
  17. I think they confirmed on their Twitter page that set is scheduled for release in August.: I found interesting that when prompted what set Nick Fury is going to appear in, their response was: I myself am hoping for a D2C S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ or similar type set.
  18. Very nice bridge Dfenz, those parts are indeed useful for making bridges. I plan on making a similar one for my layout. What is the recommended method to incline track at though?
  19. Great review WhiteFang. I really like all the details and useful parts in this set. The hybrid copter is very cool and the overall feel of the set is great. The ADU Troopers have that really nice Azure blue and I like your bonus shots with the S7 Galaxy Patrol, which fit in really well this theme as shock or heavy troopers. Overall I would rate this set at 4/5.
  20. So many great entries, excellent job by everyone. My votes: 1) 1 vote 2) 1 vote 5) 1 vote 10) 1 vote 26) 1 vote 37) 1 vote 39) 1 vote
  21. I miss those type of boxes too, they were very cool, especially for Pirate theme ships like the Caribbean Clipper. I also miss having Monorail sets, but maybe one day TLG will decide to create new sets with a new system involving PF. Cypress trees I miss dearly. One other thing I miss would be those accessory packs for various themes like City (Trees & Flowers), Castle (Swords, Helmets) and others. However the discovery of BL has filled those gaps for me.
  22. I agree, we are getting a really cool minifig. All that matters is TLG sticking to the promo guidelines. I know that every year TLG runs this promo and that is why I have not bought any new SW sets this year in anticipation for this event. That way, I have plenty of selection to add up to the $75. I will probably get the new X-Wing & Droid Escape set. I am going to guess those who do not want to spend $75, should be able to buy one off BL or eBay for $20 or so.
  23. Thanks for this nice review! I think they did a good job on the Quinjet myself. The price point is pretty good but some more figs would have been nice. I like the details in the cockpit and cabin, especially the fire extinguisher . Also the little storage area is great for storing crates or Avengers. Iron Man & Thor look great. I don't like the chariot at all though. Six known sets that is.
  24. A new option has been added for liking them both.
