Hello! Great "exercise", and welcome back after your break. The TECHNIC axle connector hub with 4 bars as a fireplace is a very original use of parts, definitely worth remembering. Furthermore these are good close-up photos which are difficult to take for myself. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! It has definitely the right look at makes a great Steampunk creation. I especially like the use of the pirate lookout piece which adds much detail to it. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Great review with good photography. What I like about the many reviews here on these boards is that you also look at sets which you normally find less interesting. Personally I am no fan of the new Space Police series but with reviews like yours also me gets an impression of new pieces and colours. So, I just found out there's a new trans-yellow windscreen introduced which delights the classic Blackspace fan. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! You can still feel the impact of the ship in your scene. Debris and clutter are well placed here. I think the un-crashed ship would look nice as well. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! This is an excellent little craft! The technique uses much SNOT which I like a lot. What amazes me in particular is the face-effect for the front facade. It gives the ship its own spirit. Also the one in background looks nice. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! The rag rug style is really great! It must have been difficult enough to let it look so randomly. Furthermore I like the old wheel with the treads around it. Very nice idea! Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Me, too, likes the second ship better. It's nicely built in the spirit of the original theme, and lets come up old memories. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! Could be directly from an official catalogue. Excellently fits into the theme and well built again. Plus, it's always nice to see one of the more rare brown ladders. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello there! Nice little attack scene here. The large ruck stuck in the wall looks really authentic here. You've well built around it too! Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! There are a lot of wonderful things to comment on. As already mentioned the treasure box tops are a unique use of parts here. What also amazes me is the position of the minifigure next to the wheel. To remove on leg and put it in front does the job perfectly for that typical position. And finally all those little creatures are simply adorable! Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello again, and thanks again for the wonderful complements! It's highly appreciated and I'll do my best to share more creations with you all soon! See you soon, ~ Christopher

Hello, what I find original in this creation is the unique wall-construction. That's really imaginative! Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello everybody! Thank you for the nice comments! It's great even the less popular models are popular in this great community. Now to answer your question. I normally don't do this, and it's like hijacking my own thread, but as so many requested it now... Well here you go! For the Clawcraft, I used a trick by taking a Bionicle piece which works wonderfully here. And for the StarViper, yes that's tricky because of the many hinges, and SNOT techniques, but I can asure you that there are even more tricky vessels already in the collection (http://sw.deckdesigns.de/minis.htm). Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello everybody! Today I'd like to present nine airspeeders to you which can be spottet in the traffic of Coruscant. These vehicles are quite small and unfortunately less popular, but I'd like to share them with you nevertheless. The most prominent ones are probably Zam Wesell's and Anakins "borrowed" airspeeder from the speeder chase scene in Attack of the Clones. We'll start with a small summary image of what we will see in this thread. Tow of them have been completely rebuilt, that means they have nothing in common with the older version and are new models. -------------------- Let's begin our little journey through the skies of Coruscant with "The Phantom Menace". A popular passenger transport is the EasyRide Passenger Airspeeder, or simply knonw as Coruscant Taxi. The construction features much SNOT, and a nice detail are the passenger benches realized by hinge pieces. A second passenger shuttle introduced in Episode 1 is Chancellor Valorum's Shuttle. The full name of this speeder is Eddicus Planetary Shuttle. There appear a blue and a red version in the movie, whereas the blue one is displayed below. -------------------- Let's continue with "Attack of the Clones" where we'll find three more airspeeder types. First we see Zam Wesell's personal airspeeder, a Koro-2 Exodrive airspeeder. She is the chased by Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi in a XJ-6 airspeeder which Anakin "borrowed" from the parking deck of the apartment building republica 500. After the failed attempt to kill the senator, Padme and Anakin are sent back to Naboo. For their travel to Coruscant's starport they use a Magnaline 3000 Airbus. This is a rather tricky craft with its rounded design and large panorma windows. It has been completely redesigned and features modified 1x2 bricks withstuds on four sides. One of them connects to the 2x1 rounded brick and also holds the side windows. It features many SNOT techniques. -------------------- When Chancellor Palpatine is kidnapped by General Grievous in the first "Clone Wars TV series", they're chased through Coruscant by the Jedi. During this chase we see a still unnamed air bus. It looks like one of the many variants of passenger shuttles. Maybe someone can remember this minor vehicle. Other than that, there's not much of new airpseeder types besides the ones already mentionend. -------------------- In the opening scene of "Revenge of the Sith", General Grievous' flagship - the Invisible Hand - is heavily damaged and has to crash land on Coruscant. While still burning and about to explode, it is intercepted by several Emergency Firespeeders which water the wreck and safe it from explosion. When the story moves on and the Jedi try to arrest the Chancellor, Anakin quickly flies to to senate in his DC0052 airspeeder to assist the Chancellor and finally fall to the Dark Side. This speeder has also been completely rebuilt. The older version had 3x3 rounded corner plates because the better 4x4 rounded corner plates had not been available yet when the first version was built earlier. As Anakin follows the dark path and attack the Jedi Temple, senator Bail Organa comes to see what was happening and barely escaped in his XJ-2 airspeeder. I like this littel speeder much because it uses many new unconventional pieces like that strange modified plate with "Racers car grill" or the curved brick for the front and neck brackets with tooth plates. Considering its very small scale, this is one of the most detailed speeders for its size. -------------------- With that I am done for today. As usually the images are links and lead to the complete image gallery with instructions. Thank you for your time and interest! Have a great week, and see you soon! ~ Christopher

Hello! Great little scene. It's always nice to see the rare cypress trees. There's one minor point of criticism this time, however. Regarding the direction of wind, the windsock should point in the same direction as the flags or the other way round. Cheers, ~ Christopher

MOC: Chevrolet Ambulance
Legostein replied to Ralph_S's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hello Ralph! That's an incredible design! I rarely see Miniland scale vehicles, and it's always a pleasure to see the big relatives to mini models. Although I am not from the Netherlands, I immediately recognized it as Dutch ambulance car. It's very impressive how functional the vehicle is with all its opening doors, the sliding door, and the detailed interior. Everything well-designed! Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Hello! It's great to see some more micro architecture here! This little house is really fantastic. You chose the right colours and techniques so this is instantly recognizable. It looks sweet , and probably would taste so as well. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! What really amazes me here is the vast amount of gadgets and equipment you were able to add to the car. I guess there's everything aboard that is needed to scare someone. Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello again! It seems you've been busy building! That's another great creation, and I am particularly fond of the colour orange. It works excellenty with black as you have shown here. With much greebling used it really looks like a complicated flying machine. Well done! Cheers, ~ Christopher

Hello! It's nice to see some new Batman creations, and those are looking well! I like the use of the big robot legs at the bike. They also mark a typical Batman set colour spot. Maybe you could add a colour spot for the boat as well, for example exchange the 2 black 2x2 slopes or the two 1x1 cones. Cheers, ~ Christopher

New Windscreen 7 x 4 x 2 Round detailed pictures
Legostein replied to Dennimator's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hello! Well, it's possible that this piece will be the regular successor of the current one. The trans-dark blue version of it has already been spotted in the new Space Police sets, so it might be that the current version is slowly replaced by this new modification, a process that we already know too well. There is even a catalog entry on BrickLink already: Windscreen 7 x 4 x 2 Round Extended Front Edge (30384b) All the best, ~ Christopher EDIT: okay it seems that both of us had the same thought at the same time. Sorry for double information now. -
Hello! That is very impressive! It's only small bricks without any bigger pieces. It looks like a real stonework. I am especially fond of those SNOT very narrow windows. The falcon on the tower looks very cute at its position. Very well done little castle! Cheers, ~ Christopoher

Hello! I can hardly see anything here. I guess it was 7:42 PM when you took those photos. May I suggest to wait for the daylight which provide the full light spectra so that all colours appear as they should. Proper ligtning also lets your camera take less blurry pictures. Looking forward to see all the nice details in proper light! Cheers, ~ Christopher

The Empire doesn't consider a small one-man fighter to be any thre
Legostein replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Cheers everyone! Thank you for the nice comments! I guess the X-Wing really wins the race here. Regarding the building request, I usually have several unpublished models on hold which still have to be properly photographed. So you might be lucky. However, I cannot force myself to build something on command. This works only in few cases. Building ideas pop up more spontaneously. Shape is difficult at that size, so it takes a while until suddenly you have a solution for the problem. Cheers, ~ Christopher -
Hello! I like the review. It's very detailed and provides much information. I however don't like the set that much, and hence only voted for average. Generally I like the older version of the re-released sets better. While the new ones have many big shape-giving pieces, the older ones still had shape realized by many smaller slpes and plates. That increases piece count, and creativity. Cheers, ~ Christopher
