    "I'd rather go to the dig site. I don't think Shelly would appreciate any more people rummaging through her friend's belongings."

    Hunkan rolls up the scroll, puts it back in his pocket, and sighs disappointedly. "I thought I'd found something useful for once..."

    "Does anyone else around here use magic scrolls? People like Maggie, for instance? I'd like to know if this scroll belonged to her, or if it was used by the murderer."

    "Yeah, sure." Hunkan pulls the Scroll of Blindness out of his jacket and unrolls it. He speaks to the imps. "I found this buried under a pile of unrelated scrolls in Maggie's room. Do either of you know where it might have come from? It looked pretty suspicious to me."

    "Very well." Hunkan stashes the Scroll of Blindness in his jacket. He turns to his comrades. "Is there anything else around here worth looking at?"

    "Good idea. Maybe we'll find out where the scroll came from and how it ended up here. I have a nagging feeling that it was used by the murderer. Do you mind if we take the magic scroll?"

    "Collector's item? I have no idea what Maggie was like, but if I had a rare item that I liked, I'd put it somewhere I can see it instead of burying it in a box full of other things... unless I didn't want anyone else to find it."

    "This scroll doesn't look like it belongs here. It's not written in the same language as the others." Hunkan waits for an answer to Ezeran's question before putting the Scroll of Blindness back.

    Hunkan approaches the crate full of white round objects, takes one, and looks at it. He tries to act like he knows what he's doing, even though he hasn't found anything useful.

    Hunkan examines the mess on the floor.

    "Some security this place has, the window is completely open. And why is there an upside down tub on the floor?" Hunkan lifts the wooden tub and looks under it.

    "Oh my..." Hunkan looks for any unlocked windows the killer might have come through.

    "Fair enough. Come on." Hunkan straps his newly bought tools to his back and makes his way upstairs. Wait, so is Maggie the shopkeeper or the murder victim?

    Hunkan whispers back. "Well, if she doesn't want to let anyone in, I guess we need get in there by force. She didn't say the window's locked, so maybe one of us could climb in through that."

    "Well, everything is quite cheap here... I'll take one shovel and one pickaxe."

    Hunkan sighs and leans on the counter impatiently. "You do understand that there is a killer on the loose, right? We need all the help we can get to catch them, and if we fail, someone here could be their next target. You don't want anyone else to get killed, do you?"

    "Ma'am, we're trying to catch the murderer, and for that we need to see the crime scene for clues. Is there anything we can do for you to let us upstairs?"

    "I'll go with you, Kid. I was thinking about heading there myself."

    Hunkan is idly tapping his foot on the ground, not wanting to take part in the fight between Goliath and the others. "Hm? Oh, is it my turn? Yes, well..." He takes a moment to come up with the right words, and to think about the past few weeks of his life. "My name is Hunkan. I'm a drifter of sorts, and came to Eubric hoping to settle down. I stumbled upon Heroica completely by accident, but I'm quite happy working there." He avoids making eye contact with Nahzka the whole time, still frightened by her appearance.

    "Ehhh..." Hunkan has never seen anything like an alcoholic cyborg showing off its brain before. He is weirded out by the experience. "If you can pull your own head off, how are you still able to control your body?"

    Hunkan takes a look around the cavern, having flashbacks of the mountainhome he once lived in. He shakes the memories out of his head and proceeds. "Did we scare him, or was he just in a hurry?" Hunkan is somewhat intimidated by the woman's grim appearance, especially since they're of similar height. He waits for someone else to answer first.

    Hunkan greets the others with a short nod. When Goliath arrives, Hunkan looks at him, then at the manhole, then back to him. He speaks to the gnome. "Is that manhole where we're supposed to go? It looks awfully small, I'm not sure everyone fits through it."

    Hunkan enters the alley and finds the well-dressed gnome. "Hey. I don't know where the others are, but I saw Kid at the marketplace. They should be here soon." My stats are correct.

    "Wait, I got picked? Guess I can finally test my new weapons, then. Let's hope this is worth it." Hunkan gets up and leaves the hall.

    Hunkan watches Timothy leave. While he didn't know him very well, he is a bit saddened that Heroica has one less healer.
