    This thing is so fragile! I am about to loose it building the head. It just crumbles in my hands as I try to put the sides and pieces together.

    Just got the Battle of Takodona set. Was on the fence about it, but loved the minifig line up. Will keep the minifigs and sell the "scenery" on ebay. After a wild goose chase around every Target in the area, just paid the extra $10 and got it from Amazon. Also picked up Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle off eBay for $85 shipped. Complete and with all minifigs. Intend to do the mod and turn it to black from grey.

    I havent started building yet. I just gathered pieces for the head and neck and will go from there. It was tough finding BL stores with all the different pieces. Some of the slopes were tough to source with only a limited number of stores with stock. I believe the neck and head was around 1000 to 1200 pieces and cost about $250 in parts from about 20 different BL stores. I hope to start assembly this weekend.

    I downloaded these instructions yesterday. Very good and I do recommend. Although 1000+ pages some pages just involve 2 or 3 parts. Other than some technic parts it is relatively easy to identify the parts needed in each step.

    So this has no parts list? It is pointless unless you also get a list of parts required. Your instruction book is of interest because it costs a third of what Cavegod charges for his LDD files.

    Including shipping I can get a bluish grey version done for $350 (not including minifigs). A white version is $500-600. So the same as buying a complete set online.

    I am thinking about bricklinking 10212 imperial shuttle but switching the white for light bluish grey. Really for 3 reasons. The bricks are about $100 cheaper, I dont have to worry about yellowing and lastly while watching ROTJ it appears to be grey and not white anyhow. There only appears to be 2 parts not available in grey, but I can paint those to match. Any thoughts? Has anyone made a 10212 in different color?
