Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

Yes, he did. But that was before the final scene; so what precisely is your question aiming at? Yes, I think so; otherwise it would have made no sense. -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

As for the motives, I think the final dialogue reveals it all: Father: "You and I are tied together. And your strength runs through me. This way, I take your power." That's why Anakin could kill the son. Then: Son: "Please, don't die!" Father: "I always knew there was good in you!" So I'd simply say that this is the reason why the son didn't kill the father, and why he was so devastated that the father took his life. At this point Anakin steps in and kills the son - who apparently has returned to the light side since he showed so much compassion for his father and who became vulnerable to ordinary weapons because of the sacrifice the father made. Son (dying): "So you betrayed me?" This line implies that the son suspects that the father wanted Anakin to kill the son. However, it remains unclear if the Anakin really had to kill the son. The next line of the father implies that this was not the case, so that the father believes that Anakin made the wrong choice, and that it was this choice, not the previous visions, that reveals to the father Anakin's future role: Father: And now, I die. My heart (is) broken, knowing the role you're gonna play." -

Thanks :) -
You can find pictures of it via goole, however, they are not very accurate.

No, he definetly comes with dual pistols. However, they look more like grey versions of the new pistols (7930,7913,7914) than like the old ones.

Is it possible that the Cody's blasters in 7959 are different (scope) from Rex' in 7869?
-
I think it's because they are labeled as "preliminary".

I think it's a possible candidate for armor pieces applied to phase II armors of clone comanders. http://captrex7567.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/arc_trooper_tcw.jpg

Ok, I don't share the critics about the Falcon. First, it is the Falcon (EP4). The minifigures that can reasonably be included are Han Solo, Chewie, Obi Wan, Luke, R2D2, C3PO, Sandtroopers, TK 421, Mousedroid, Darth Vader, and Leia. So the possibility of adding "new" minifigures seems to be very limited. I'd rather say that 7965 is decent starter set. Concluding from the picture it'd say it is the "escape scene" Falcon, so the choice of minifigures makes sense. Thus, I'd suppose that we sooner or later see new Tie Fighters and Stormtroopers. It is a fact that number of locations and scenes of the OT is very limited compared to Clone Wars. Since all the main scenes of the OT are more or less covered, TLG can do nothing but to reissue elder sets. Since the main battles of the OT are Hoth and Endor (due to the size of the space ship models, I don't count space battles) it makes sense to produce more sets for these two scenes. As for 7956, I would have liked to see a slightly improved scout trooper (black mouth/"ear", coloured legs).

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

I don't really think so. At the very beginning of Clone Wars, when Asoka was introduced, Yoda told Obi Wan that the big question was if Anakin would be able and willing to let her go. Later in the series, Luminara asked him pretty much the same question. She asked him the general question if we was prepared to let Askoa go if her time has come. Anakin didn't answer this question; was he said in fact was that he was not prepared to let her go at this point of time or in this particular case. And in the Mortis-Arc the self character trait is displayed again. It has not become clear, though, if it is really love for his friends or selfishness, which means that he doesn't want to loose them because he doesn't want to be alone or because he doesn't want to feel guilt again like it was the case with his mother's death. Whatever trait it is, it is precisely this trait that will be exploited by Papatine to turn Anakin to the dark side. Luke, on the other hand, displayed true love for his friends; in EP5, he wanted to rescue them simply because he felt that this was the right thing to do. So unlike it was the case with Anakin, there were no different possible motives. However, it shades some light on Yoda's behaviour not to let him go to rescue his friends; thus, the question may be asked if he didn't display some kind of selfishness as well. What he had in mind was a purpose for Luke: becoming a de facto tool to destroy Vader and the Emperor, and the feeling behind this purpose was fear, definitely a dark feeling, the fear that the dark side could ultimately triumph. But Luke didn't stay on Dagobah; he simply did what he felt was right, so he trusted his feelings and in doing so he trusted in the Force to guide his actions, not in his believes about what ought to be done. In this arc, it is clear that Anakin has made a step towards the dark side in revealing that he is more driven by his selfishness - being with Padme and his friends - than other motives; and in advancing this goal, he will be ultimately driven by his pragmatism (that was displayed in this show several times, e. g. when he tortured a person to get information or stabbed another in the back to save Obi Wan and Satine) and ultimately not hesitate to join the dark side. -

Well, the second clip contains a sexual component. Children are very unlikely to recognize this point. And the fact that the scene was censored clearly doesn't prove that CW was designed as a kid's series. -

Yes - and he doesn't wear a cap!

I must admit that the Dathomir Speeder looks better than I thought I'd look. The Falcon looks better than 4504; its front parts (the two "triangles") seem to be a bit longer, and so is the cockpit; and the diameter of the big part seems to be slightly bigger. On the photo posted here, the cockpit fits much better to the rest of the Falcon compared to 4504.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion

I've never been happy with concepts like "the rule of two", "midichlorians" and "the chosen one". "The rule of two" was so...limiting; the concept of "midichlorians" simply removed the myth from the force without necessity, and "the chosen one"...well, I could live with it, but I will never understand why "the chosen one" got tricked by the Emperor in such a silly way. Anyway, I like season 3 so far, and although I find the current episodes a bit aloof, I wonder where the authors will take us. -
Ok, I'm sorry then; if've not been aware of this fact.

What I always found artificial about the PT is the way emotions, especially love and hate, are expressed by the characters and the story. In that regard, the OT (and CW) is much more natural or credible.

I didn't like the film a lot, but I think the series grew a lot better. If you like SW and if you have the time I'd recommend to watch it. -
I think that before a set is produced TLG forms expectation about (1) the number of sales and (2) the price that customers are prepared to pay. Then, it is produced. Thus, I'd say 6212 sold far worse then expected. If a set sales slow that is a problem because it binds financial resources that could be used for a different purpose. Thus, TLG has an interest in selling sets fast; however, they don't have an interest in customers paying a higher price by buying via e.g. ebay because it reduces the budget customers can spend on new products. If 7676 is gonna be re-released depends on the expectations TLG forms about the demand. Well. At least that's my guess.

Well, I don't hope so. I'm hoping for more horizontal tubes so that the head can be turned left/right and that the helm can be combined with an armor :) -

Ah ok, I've seen him there. However, it seems to me that noone has ever used his name throughout the whole show, am I right? I still wonder why such an comparatively unimportant commander gets an own minifigure. It also appears to me that in order to combine armors with phase II helmets Lego will have to modify the current shape of the existing phase II helmets. Are there any guesses how they might look? -

I have a question regarding Commander Fox. I read an article about him, however, I still don't know in which Clone Wars episodes he actually appears. He doesn't appear in the episodes mentioned in the article. Anyone who can help on this? The clones that appear in S1E1 look very "foxish" as well, I think. -
Dude, that was not funny...I totally missed the lower part of your post...
