I'm having a hard time deciding whether I want to get into customs or not. But I will be using your display ideas Capt, that's exactly what I am looking for. -

Wow, awesome! Love that Hawkman vignette! I've been inactive for sometime due to financial constraints(but mostly avoiding any talk of CACW because I STILL haven't been able to see it!), but now that I'm settled after my move it's time to start hoarding collecting Superhero minifigs again! -

I think he's an awesome fig. Way better than the dozens of others that look so similar to one another. -

I just snagged the Lego Marvel/DC encyclopedia off Amazon with Batman Figure for like $7 shipped prime to my door. I guess there was a settlement for books on Amazon that was sitting on my account. Score! I love it when I pay half price for a minifig! -
Packing my Minifig collection for a move

I have most of mine on plates, I was contemplating leaving them on them and packing the plates but I'm worried they will pop off and vibrate around. -

I love that tupperware idea! I might try that one. I just have to order a few more base plates. -

Oh man that would drive me nuts! My wife told me I should just throw all my figs in a box and get it over with. I just stared at her. -

Thanks for all the replies guys! Some of you are hilarious. I think I'm gonna go the ziploc route and put them all in a box together. I knew I was overthinking it, but I have quite a bit of cash invested into this little collection and I'd hate to see my Silver Centurion get all scarred up! -
I am preparing for a move that is pretty far away, like a 30 hour drive. Any ideas on how to securely package my minifigs for the trip while keeping costs down? I have about 160 minifigs to pack, so it's not a gigantic number but I do want to keep them pristine. Thoughts?

Where did you get those cases? I'd love to put my figs in those! Fantastic. I love it when a collection comes together, especially for a reason like that. -

I won't be able to see the movie in theatres due to my job, so I'll have to wait until the DVD release on Redbox. Guess I'll have to be real careful what I read on here until then. -

Ditto!!! I'm still trying to catch up with the older sets as well, so that takes a lot of my funds! -

I got the Airport set and it's awesome. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. But I also want the bridge set and I will probably get it. It just looks too cool to pass up, and it has lots of minifigs, which is the whole point for me. -
Mine are all fully assembled. One thing I have noticed is on most minifigs, there is a mold line where the plastic came together in the mold, and most of the time this falls directly under the arms and could be mistaken for a crack. Maybe that's what some folks are seeing and calling a crack.
-
My collection is primarily Marvel and DC superheroes, with some CMF. My son has Jurassic World, City, Star Wars, Chima, and some random parts from the lego store. I've not noticed any cracks whatsoever.

My son loves the games, so I had no problem paying for it. I allocated the cost to the game, not the fig. -
How old are these figs that are cracking? I have over 150 minifigs and not a single one of mine has a crack anywhere, and my son has over 50 that he plays with regularly and they don't have any cracks either.

I plan on stopping by my gamestop today to see what they've got. If I can get a Silver Centurion or two I will pass the savings on to a EU member, since I already have mine for my collection. -

The 2015 series began in August and features MM holding Earth in his right hand on the cover of #1. I bought 1-4 today and they were really interesting. I've been looking at the collections you mentioned, but I don't have any spare cash at the moment. They look great though, I'm really interested in reading some of the older stuff. -

I've only recently(like, today) began reading comics again. I visited my local comic book store and picked up some of the 2015 Martian Manhunter series. This is completely overwhelming. I'd really like to read some of the classic comics that the movies are being based off of for both Marvel and DC, but I don't even know where to start. -
For sure. They did the SDCC exclusives, and those are awesome. I really want a hooded Green Arrow and Arsenal minifig, and a better Deathstroke. And Diggle, he rocks!

Am I the only one dying for a Green Arrow set based on the show? So many awesome possibilities. I'm a huge fan of the show, and I'm considering turning to customs to get all the characters and do a MOC.
