Yet, I still buy all the Bionicle anyway. 8-| And yes, I have been reading just the comics. Probably should try the books... :-$ Will -

Well, do they mention the rahi attacking matoran? Not really. They explain it once, maybe a few times, but the comics are all about fighting. There aren't many matoran around. What? No, not at all. Are you talking to me? Please explain. :-) Will -
Who would want to rescue a Hutt? Not me... :-P This summer... Much too much time! Sigh... :-/ Ah well, I'll know what to do with my summer break. X-D Will

Bionicle 2001 and beyond: An essay of personal thoughts.

The section where I think BIONICLE is really failing is the elemental aspect. Take a look- The new villians- the '07 Barraki and the '08 makuta are pretty sweet to me. I like them. They look great when they're hunched over, looking sinister. These guys have no elemental powers. Then, there's the Toa. In '07, we got the Mahri. They were cool, but they weren't Toa. They just lacked the proud, heroic look that the earier Toa had. These guys are skinny, and don't use their elemental powers. Maybe they do, but not in the same amazing aspect that the first toa did. Does Kongu swing through his forest? Does Jaller lava-surf? No. They swim. They lacked that elemental feel to them. Now that I see the '08 toa, they're worse. They're BLEY. The original Toa were a blaze of color- Green, red, blue, white, brown, and black. What do I see now? Bley (with some green), bley (with some white), and bley, (with some orange). They're BORING. They're SKINNY. They're not proud. They're not heroic. They're not, above all, radiating a sense of ELEMENTAL POWER. Do they use their unique abilities to fight their foes, summoning the storm, tsunami, or stone? No. Now, it's all about the big, shiny weapons and the Manga-swords. If TLC designed a new body, how great would that be? When I got Lewa Nuva, he was awkward and skinny. The only good thing about him- he's posable. Why can't TLC aim for smaller? They're so big... they look like somebody grabbed a roll of fat taffy and stretched it out. They look bigger, sure. But are they better? TLC, are you looking for quantity over quality? Will -
Why don't I go by myself? Jaing and I are Mando'ade, you see. ;-) Report: I'm sorry I haven't reported in yet, 'Scouts. We ran into some Hutt who tried to get us into his entourage... and got very annoyed when we said no. I'm happy to report that there is no garrison on Mon Cal. Jaing and I happened across the remains one, but it is in neglect and hasn't been used in at least a few Galactic standard months.

I got it... sure is weird. :-/ It's got to be a promotional- The conventional would never be that small. Can't really see much in it. Pretty poor substitute for me, who didn't get January's edition. |-/ Will

Yes and yes. *wub* Yuck, you just made me think of an droids VS. EP. 3 chess set... :-X I have enough of both, thanks. How would it contradict the license agreement? I'm not very familiar with it. Will

My cockatiel, Tucker, died. :'-( :'-( :'-( I have no idea what caused his death. He was only two years old, but then, the day before his death, started to limp on his left foot, he was listless, and he was having diarrea. I thought he'd be fine, but during the night... :'-(

I just got a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi (Whew, what a long name!) and it's pretty good, though I'm going to need a while to learn how to use it... One question: For you camera whizzes, how good is the abovementioned camera for lego photography? I honestly have no idea. :-$ Will

Wow, that's great! You got the lighting and angles just right. *y* Will -
Just don't let this happen to you. 8-| Will

Funny, most men start dreaming of a certain hourglass figure. :-P

Well, there's so much coverage from Toyfair that we could probably build a 3-D computer model from them. ;-) Though... there's still those darn elusive TX-130 tanks and Droid Gunship. :-/ Will

Quick! Run! Before Hinckley gets here with his huge Fabuland hammer and/or axe! Well... They're cute, and TLC made some really cool parts, such as the abovementioned hammer and/or axe. :-$ Will

Now, these look beautiful. Good job, Ambassadors! *y* I was curious about that- I couldn't imagine it selling well, because it just looks so fragile. I don't want to see it changed with a ...stand... to help it. Ah, now that'll be nice. *y* Will

Ouch! That's horrible... has any lego been damaged? From what I recall, the pics you posted of your lair were really cool. Hope it all turns out well. ;-) As for the MOC: It's great, but not quite as good as your others- I've seen you make better trees, this one seems a bit square, but if you're been away from your lego, you must have been a bit handicapped. As for the parrot- X-O did you add a clip to the bottom? I might have to try that... Will

Fred Meyer is amazingly slow. They've only just gotten a few of the new sets. :-/ And they still have a lot left over from last January... And this is a big box store, shouldn't they be moving faster? As for SAH, I haven't noticed much. I'd just prefer that they organized the SW section. :-/ Will

*Jaing and I pull out of town on a Hydrohover* All right, the bartender said that they were based just north of here. Should take us a few minutes. Uh-huh. My, this Hydrohover is pretty nice. I might just have to wander off with it. And what would you do with it? Do I need a reason? *A few minutes later,The Hydrohover's proximity alarms flare* We're here. Now let's try to get in quietly, okay?

Heehee. *wub* When you said you hadn't found it, I was expecting the Falcon keychain. :-D Since I missed it, happy birthday, Ras! Will

At around 7:00 PM, the moon went under a lunar eclipse in Bend, OR. (For those who don't know where Oregon is, it's that one state above California. :-/ ) Anyway, I went up to the golf course above my house with my fickle camera. Here's what I got: So, I went inside and got the tripod. Here's a better picture: More pics here. Enjoy. :-) Will

I'll give you a giant duck. :-| Just try to call this a "giant duck". :-P Will

I'm suprised I have a reputation for it. That's good to know... I think. 8-| :-P Will

Hey, Jax, do our stories have to relate to yours? Maybe you *or someone* should write up some rules. I think this has the potential to be like a more in-depth TIE army thread. :-) Will

Guys, please, look before you post. Someone posted earlier this morning about it, and it looks to be up now. If it doesn't work in a while, then we start worrying about it... But until then, every site has a glitch every once in a while. ;-) Thanks, Will
