  1. Harry Potter has enough characters and variations that you could do a couple of CMF lines. If LEGO is so set on doing licensed CMFs then perhaps they need to add a fourth CMF slot to the year, so those that aren't into licensed themes don't have to go a year between sets.
  2. These new expressions are great. Finished off my set today, these were worth the wait. However, I am pretty bummed that we're looking at year before another regular set.
  3. Yeah, I was gonna do the Dragon Suit once I got my paws on him. That stump monster (or does he count as treefolk?) is great. Gonna have to BL some parts for that, methinks.
  4. It was kind of temperamental, but I did manage it.
  5. Brickseek said one of the local Wally Worlds had 'em, and so they did. They had a case up on a shelf, and not loose figures in a bin. I can confirm the location data on the Classic Police Officer is correct. Time only allowed me to grab a handful of figures, so I'll probably end up going back. You knew this was coming:
  6. Hmmm, I love the Bell 47, and I unironically dig ABBA, so considered this supported. I feel it has only a slightly better chance of being selected than an actual ABBA reunion tour happening, but the best of luck to you!
  7. Heh, I knew we'd see that second pic eventually. I concur on the quality of the expressions.
  8. The Wal-marts and Target in the area all put them into bins or end cap racks, so it's gonna be by-feel there. Five Below and HEB put out cases, but who can say when they'll put them out. Especially HEB, who are sitting on mountains of Ninjago CMFs. Brickseek says that only three stores in the general vicinity even have them in the computer, and none of those have stock, so I guess I'm sitting on my hands until at least Monday. Best of luck, classic police hunters.
  9. ........ That figures is orders of magnitude better than the CMF variant. That late '80s-'90s patterned radio. That banana print shirt. Feel free to insert anakinskywalkerihateyou.gif *here*
  10. Having observed Brickseek slavishly these past few days, I am of the opinion that these are just starting to filter through the Wal-Mart distribution chain. Anyone that has shopped the big W knows that street dates are a rather loose guide. I have experienced both finding CMFs early and seeing them weeks after street date, long after I'd purchased them at other retailers.
  11. I really like it. Too bad there isn't gonna be a Toys R Us to get it at.
  12. I'm curious as to what LEGO will do with almost 800 stores worth of Spring 2018 product. I don't suspect Wal-Mart or Target will need it, and that some of it it, at least, will go into LEGO stores.
  13. I saw that this morning. I'd want the Spongebob stuff, as well as stuff from that first few years of shows, but the post '97 stuff would be easy to pass on. I imagine younger collectors would feel likewise about the older stuff. I think three characters for some of the shows was excessive, and some of the accessory choices were on the weak side. As an aside, I wish Nickelodeon could get Doug back, so that series could get in on that sweet nostalgia merchandising.
  14. Wow, that "gottahaveitfirstitis" is a drag.
  15. Yeah, I saw they were in the Wal-Mart system, but no dice being available anywhere nearby. I know that Target puts polybags over in the seasonal section on occasion, but I didn't see any CMFs. If I had to wager a guess, I'd say the spoting order for me will be Target, Five Below and then Walmart. I heard a rumor that there is a list of date-sensitive product LEGO wants back, so who knows if Toys R Us will carry them.
  16. They nerfed the price-cum-inventory scanners? I had been wondering why those had suddenly become useless. Brickseek says there are figures in stock, but I didn't see hide nor hair of any. Target's scanner said they had some on CL10 (checkout lane, perhaps), but no LEGO to be seen up there that wasn't a polybag. Guess I'll see them when I see them.
  17. Starting to show up in Targets stores in my state, so I'll be off to have a look-see today.
  18. Saw a bagged pic on 4chan. Bald eagle, with a single stud on the back.
  19. I might have. I do recall using a number at TrU back when S.17 was coming, and managed to get them early. Brickseek still doesn't have them as being in Wal-Mart's system, and Target's dcpi remains unchanged, so there won't be any way to know until people start actually seeing them in stores. Over on 4chan, someone claiming to be an employee said LEGO is pulling their stuff from the stores, so it may be no dice for S.18 there. Mine wasn't one of the initial ~182 closing, so it looks like business as usual right now.
  20. Someone on Reddit found them in Calgary. I'm tempted to see if Toys R Us has them in the back.
  21. Looks like Echo Zane's head and torso.
  22. There are some pretty novel figs this series, but I think the dragon suit takes the cake.
  23. Distribution isn't terrible, though I foresee tossing aside a lot of brick suits.
  24. Yeah, that's gonna need some expounding upon. They should really do a hammerhead piece for the Big Shark in the next ocean-based City theme. A goatherd and a milkmaid are overdue. I know a horse will fit in a CMF pack, but will a cow? I don't have one to test it out.
