Thanks everyone for your feedback ! I´m glad that you like the way I moved the frontiers of monorail a bit closer to the regular trains. I will continue to play around with this in the future now that I´ve gone all-in on monorail tracks etc ! Yes, only one motor. And it ran for 11 hours straight during the two days the event was open . The short car is an Emerald Caboose I built during the last hours on sunday. I got a couple of 10194 sets and had to try it out. Each car has a 3176 modified plate as coupler: Between that I have two different types of pins and a technic connector or liftarm. Here´s some pictures to compare it with the original: On the opposite side of the engine it says TRAIN. I thought we would run it on an up&down track so I didn´t mount any buffers in the front. The Emerald is 4 studs wide except for the motor cover which I had to make 5 studs wide. The Metroliner is 6 studs wide all the way through. Yeah, I´ve been blogged ! CopMike

Here´s a video of the two monorail trains, Emerald Night Train & Metroliner, that I brought to BW for mine & Hinckley´s Fabuland Train Club set-up. I´ll soon post some pictures of the train also - enjoy this in the meantime ! CopMike

Nice build there Sava ! It looks really true to the original, and I like that you didn´t have to use so many "outside" pieces. The 10194 set has so many great pieces and you´ve used them to their full potential! CopMike

The long wait is (almost) over, presenting the Home One: Name: 7754 Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser Theme: Star Wars Year: 2009 Pieces: 789 Minifigures: 6 Front Back Side The instructions - there's two booklets: Random pages: The pieces - the set was already built when this review was done so suck it up ! But there's 789 of them. Here's the Death Star hologram: The minifigs - now we're getting somewhere ! Admiral Ackbar Mon Mothma Lando Calrissian General Madine Mon Calamari A-wing pilot The set itself - what do you get for your $$$? The set basicly consists of two sets - the hangar and the control room. And an A-wing of course!! The hangar is built with technic pieces and can be lifted up without problems. There's a crane to lift up the A-wings 454 Big Block engine and a turn-around mechanism. Here you can see the bottom of the A-wing and where it connects to the turn-around thingy: The A-wing: Front Rear with engine visible Front with cockpit open and engine on the outside Ze Big Block And it can move around like a carousel: The control room is decorated in white, and quite comfortable: Front Rear Sides Here's the Admiral himself kicking it back : He can move around quite a bit - check it out!!! The hangar & the control room connects with some technic pins and a sliding axle function. Here's Ackbar at the very edge between them . And showing the slide mechanism that connects them together again - the yellow lever: When the Admiral and his trusty friends sleep the back-up crew comes in and messes everything up : Overall Rating Playability: 9/10 - Lots of stuff to turn and do, merry-go-round here we come! Design: 8/10 - Looks good, no real time to check it out completly. Minifigs: 10/10. Excellent exclusive figure, two Mon Calamari heads! Overall: 9/10. Great ship, great figs, great build. What more could you want? That's all folks - hope you've enjoyed this first hand look on a great set! CopMike

Denmark, LEGO System A/S, 3 June 2009 Integration Product Manager – LEGO Universe Do you want to be part of a leading-edge project? And are you ready to support the mission of creating one reality where virtual and physical play go hand in hand? Then you may just be the Integration Product Manager we are looking for. Joining an innovative team in CED PR, Events & LU Marketing, you will become part of a dedicated team that works closely together to reach a common goal. This position gives you a unique opportunity to build a strong network with stakeholders across the entire group while working on a strategic project with immense management focus. Based in Billund, Denmark, you can look forward to travelling approximately 30 days per year to visit our game developer NetDevil. You build bridges between PMD and LEGO Universe Based on the overarching LEGO strategy and your knowledge of how well a certain LEGO product will work in an online gaming environment, your main responsibility will be to bridge the product marketing and development process in Product, Marketing and Development (PMD) with the development of LEGO Universe. This involves linking good gaming experiences from LEGO Universe to PMD and NetDevil to secure successful product integration. Specifically, you will develop and manage the strategy and business plans for the product lines in order to make sure that the entire product life cycle is taken into account. You will be instrumental in the product development phase by developing the global product strategy – including pricing, product concept and foundation. Subsequently, you will play a key role in the marketing phase by delivering on approved concepts – also at product level. This will include close communication with markets to determine and evaluate product and sales plans. Following through on the product lines, you will be responsible for going to market with the products – and keeping an eye out for new business opportunities that build on the LEGO Universe model. Strong product development experience and teamwork skills Ideally, you have several years of experience working in a company like LEGO Group and preferably two years as manager – backed by a university or business school degree in marketing, innovation or similar. Your background has provided you with in-depth knowledge of product development, online marketing and gaming as well as a solid understanding of how to bring products to market. Along with strong people skills, your collaborative talents are high, which is a must in a position where success is highly dependent on working in cross-functional teams, establishing networks, seeking opportunities and finding solutions. Using your strong drive and passion for gaming, you are able to keep your energy level high despite challenges and changes. Lastly, you must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English – both in speech and writing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Application and contact Please mark you application “Integration Product Manager – LEGO Universe” and send it no later than 30 June to ulla-holm@LEGO.com.
