  9. From Jim Foulds : The first screenshots for LEGO Universe make their world premiere this week. These images show off the diversity the players will encounter in the game. It’s scheduled to launch in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK, and North America in 2010. Safety is a huge priority for LEGO Universe. Many solutions are being explored through technology, processes, and people to provide the most creative and safe environment possible. Of course since it is a LEGO product, one can expect a creative and building focus to give players the opportunity to do a variety of activities that allow for them to interact with the LEGO elements in a virtual reality. Building with LEGO elements in LEGO Universe will take many forms, ultimately allowing players to bring their real-life creations to life inside the game. LEGO Universe will feature a subscription model. Lot’s of research and evaluation of various models went into this decision and we feel it provides the best method to provide a trusted online experience for the player. 10. This is so cool, now we need to whip up an "expert" . I´ll see about the close-to-Stockholm thing, I´ll be back with info on that.
  11. Eilif, questions forwarded to TLG .
  12. Ok, thanks everyone. I´ll try to get this into a readable form to TLG !

  15. Nice one Lars ! I really like your design of the head with the cockpit! The whole thing gives a massive & real impression - now let´s see some more pictures of it!
  16. Excellent stuff Kaitan ! Great detail, size and accuracy! And I like that you only seems to be using new white pieces to avoid that "yellowish" look. I´ll stay tuned on your progress for sure !
  17. Update 16/8 from Tormod on why this is not upon for the US: Explanation from our Quality Department: We are awaiting clarification on the testing and certification demands for elements that are not sold as part of a finished good. The complexity of the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) has left many unanswered questions and until we are certain that we can meet the requirements of the law, we must withhold sales of loose elements, outside of the PAB assortment, in the US market. Be assured that the elements themselves are fully compliant and safe; we simply need to have clarity as to what process we must use to ensure the elements meet the test and certification demands. 18. Update from Jan B: 200 DKK is the amount per registered member - if 50 members submit their data then the LUG can order for 10.000 DKK max, but if only 20 out of the 50 order they can still order up to 10.000 DKK. The focus right now is to help people who are doing shows get bricks to build more and thus help them build new stuff for their shows. A 2x4 brick in white is 0,45 DKK without VAT.
  19. Part 167.
  20. Yes exactly ! But I think people initially thought they by themself/alone/not part of a groupm, could by in bulk this way. Well, if your LUG has a show scheduled and you need a bunch of a hard-to-get piece for your set-up, I think it´s a great idea. But I think the people within the LUG´s might be able to answer that question better than you and me.
  21. Ok, I might be unclear but what I mean is that it´s the LUG that orders the pieces through one person. They can then either split up the stuff between the different members (who can have wanted say 50 pieces of one part for themself and together with other members the LUG orders for example 500 of that part) OR use it in their collective display - yes, there are LUG´s who share parts (and they can of course also bring their very own parts/models to the displays). The only thing that all this comes from is that a number of people above seems to have thought it is targeted to individuall people to buy, like PaB or BL, which it´s not. And that´s what I´ve trying to clear up (with so-so result )!
  22. Ok Rick, get your drift now !
  23. LUGBULK will only be accessible for registered LUGs. A LUG need to meet the following requirements and submit the following information to the LEGO Community Team to become a registered LUG – the LEGO Community team will follow up on the requirements every time a LUG places an order: ........If one reads the actuall information - how isn´t that clear ?
  24. Wow, hold your horses !This is for LUG´s, meaning IRL clubs that build and display their stuff. I don´t think it´s a bad deal to be able to buy loads of these for example to build a forest! It´s not for single people getting stuff for their collection. I know of lots of LUG´s that want this, but you´re of course entitled to your opinion.
  25. From Jan Beyer: LEGO User Group Bulk Order Program The “LEGO User Group Bulk Order Program” (LUGBULK) will be offered to LEGO User Groups as a pilot/test program from August 2009 and possibly going into 2010. Due to new legislation in the USA, we will unfortunately not be able to offer the program to USA based LEGO User Groups until we implement some additional processes. We expect to open up the program to US LEGO User Groups at a later date. This document explains to you how to get access to and use the program to order smaller amounts of LEGO bricks from the whole LEGO assortment directly at the LEGO Group. Please notice again that this is a pilot project and it may be terminated on short notice at any time. Sounds interesting ? Read more and discuss here!
