Thank you ! Apparently a big armor on the guy...

Sorry, do you mean a gift for a (certain amount of) purchase at legoshop ? Thank you

And the coming wawe of Ninjago will probably be even better than the 2015 one's... Plus a movie ? Poor NK... The Ninjago design team really reach some super saiyan level (the background designers, the quality of minifigs, the more mature target surely helped as well) I hope the NK designer will learn from them... Do we know when Ninjago will stop ? The theme is rather easy to renew and It will be like killing the hens with golden eggs for Lego...

Here in Poland, and it was probaly the same in all the western market, Chima (and Bionicle reboot) was everywhere in the stores, it sells, but didn't create any "mania". Yet I would say the main obstacle to their success was other lego themes cannibalising their little brothers. In my son's school, Ninjago rules the world of the 4-6 years old. For the 7+ it's like 80% Star Wars... The childishness of Chima cartoon compare to Ninjago may have play a role in that ? I hope NK will be more for 10 years old than for 6 years old... My 7 year old son says Chima world/sets are boring. Not enough katana ? (He liked them at first, but if the classmate prefer to play Ninjas at school, let's follow them). I hope the heavy weaponery of NK will please them... I would say the first bad guys set of Ninjago where very Chimaesque (crazy vehicles looking like their monstuous drivers : squeleton, serpent...). Then one could argue Chima was more medieval-fantastic, and Ninjago rebooted invest the Sci-Fi with an oriental twist. NK is a mix of the 2, medival Sci-Fi... It's tricky to guess how much NK will sell. No idea if the App could helped a lot or not. But beside lego heavy marketing, I fear It would depend a lot of the buzz around the cartoon, maybe more than the quality of the sets. (yet the 2015 Ninjago sets full of fancy darkness being arguably cooler than the last chima set surely helped the sells...). For them to sell I still hope the next NK wawes will be full of badasses colorful creatures and weapons and stuff.

you don't like Jestro evil mobile ??? Or you can wait 6 months, there will be probably 2 more sets with Lance this summer.... in 5 years you will probably have some 30 knights... (in 5 different armors...)
-
The medium azur (and some light azur ?) seems super present as well in the generic knights (king's men ?) and a lighter version in the queen's details but not on the king mecha set. I am wandering if we will get more of that later (on the king castle walls ?). These colors are kind of new for action themes (not in Ninjago or Chima). Maybe I will change my mind having the sets in my hand but it bugs me on a soldier, too plastic for my taste... And by the way, why the head of the generic blue knights seems orange ? some kind of visor/screen/windshield?
-
Battle pack could be a 10 euros box, with 3 generic guys, a mini build and a fancy flag, like the chima one (lions. white bears...). Plus maybe a mini bots or red lava minions.... (sorry Shib, I just saw your reply)

Lego is getting so good at doing this : distributing minifigs (and items) between sets and wawes to maximise the expenses of consumers interested to collecte a theme. And I fear Nexo Knight will be the pinnacle of this marketing strategy. Even if you "just" buy the Fortrex, the Evil Mobile and Beast Master to have the 5 knights... One will be thinking, yes but maybe I need a King set ... and a Queen for my King... and the little girl and.... Or maybe the horse hoovers (3 in this wawe, maybe a yellow and a blue one in summer ?). And the shield, the weapons, the books, the robots, the red minions... Wawe 1 look very complete, but I am sure they will succeed to make the summer wawe needed... With a 70 euros bad guy base maybe ? (a volcano ? a prison ? with Axl ?) a 120 euros flying castle with princess Macy in a dress ? (and to include Merlok will be the best way for them to make me buy it...) but then keep a huge bad guys set for 2017 ? (they could postponed the king castle to 2017 to make the big summer wawe set a lava monster's one, but Lego love their big good guy sets for christmas...) What else ? A ram ? a siege tower ? Battle packs ?

Speaking of jonction. Sparkz head (the giant cyclops in the evil mobile set) should be a normal lego head right ? (his helmet being the same as the lava guy in the knighton disc launcher set). I don't like the build and want to use the cool head to customize an other lava guy. My upgraded evil mobile siege tower (with ram and a single big catapult) will be pushed by my power miner erruptor http://vignette3.wik...=20101227174202 and my Firax being trans orange and blck will fit as well http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Firax and I will try to transform the wheels in a hamster wheel with the knight I have in double running inside it... And put some cages hanging (ala City of stix or Croc swamp hideout), with the king and queens in it, if I by their sets (my Fortrex should be already too crowded).

Lego Ninjago 2016

There is an island set, so I guess the cartoon will take place in the sea side. -
Lego Ninjago 2016

I agree, it gives a nice exotic, sunny touch. And it fits with the persian/Indian ocean pirates inspiration -
Axl huge torso/small leg, and his soft/good nature as described in his bio reminds me of Lian-Chu in the Dragon Hunters movie http://medias.myfrenchfilmfestival.com/medias/40/128/32808/format_page/dragon-hunters.jpg

1 brick built giant or 1 bigfig ogre is super possible, but I guess not 5 for a wawe. As for the dark elves, I would argue they are too sophisticated for lego styled cartoons. Bad guys (except the boss, sometimes...) in Ninjago and Chima are goofy/ridiculous...
-
the Ninjago and Chima good guys sets (except for the last Fire and Ice) were not following a uniformed color scheme. (Cole vehicles are Black, Zane are white... Chima Lions are yellowish orange, Eagle are blue and white...) But the Nexo knight 2016 have this blue-trans redish orange color schemes (Lance horse have some white, but is still mostly blue...) it makes a nice contrast with the bad guys orange and black... I hope for 2017 the main colors of the good guys will change. Difficult not to pick a knight colors (2016 was already Clay color), purple, lime, Brown and black being traditionaly more "evil". Maybe Dark green, Yellowish orange, light blue... I guess we will have a "aerial" wawe (with griffon ?) and a sea wawe. Maybe a moutain wawe (with dwarves and mines ?) As for the bad guies, I think Lego should add a twist. A necromancer could resuscitate obsolete robots instead of humans. Not with an Egyptian look like Stargate or the Necron in Warhammer 40k, but more rusty/scrapy... I wonder if the bad guies will stay magically powered, or if some of them will be super high tech. And in 2 years after we forget the last ninjago and Elves wawes, some dragons will be nice !!!

hum... Lego Castle themes were always full of soldiers, adding one queen every year didn't make them equally appealing for boys and girls Jestro could stay in the background. Ninjago style... I wish the new bad guy will be a necromancer, or some orcish shaman with a cool mask the big question is : will the Book of Monster stay as the real evil power, picking a new master for 2017
-
Oh yes, indeed, thanks !! as for the coming 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 new purple, black, brown, orange and Pink knights we could get a Simi Tar, Al Berd, Paul Harm, Morr Ningstar and of course Kross Bowsomething
-
I don't get the name Aaron Fox, why not Kross Bowsomething or Archer something to stay with the play on weapons name ?

Hello guys, my humble thoughts on the theme : -I love the Fortrex, the mini horses/speeders, 95% of the minifigs, especially Jestro -I understand why Lego has done it, but I would prefer the theme to be a bit less childish (Ultra Agents and Galaxy Squad works better for me than the silly trailer) -I would prefer a bit less flashy technology and more magic on the good guys side. A bit less blue and flashy reddish orange as well... -I would prefer the lava bad guys to be less black and red. Some more orange, purple or brown would have been nice -I really dislike the designs of Lance big Horse, the knights disc launcher sets, the blue helmet and orange face of the basic knight soldiers -I find lot of sets have some potentials but miss it, which didn't bother me as I loved to "improve" official sets -I hope Merlock 2.0 will be in a summer set... (AFOL would have probably loved a proper library/lab, with lot of books and some astronomy and alchimic stuff...) -I hope the 2017 bad guys will be some necromantic army or a Orcs horde -I am so gonna "improve" Jestro set by tripling his size to give a fight to the Fortrex, adding a proper catapult on the top, throwing trans-orange rocks, a bigger and higher head, opening as a assault tower, two arms on smaller wheels on the fronts, with a ram in between, LOTR style, and a XVIII century machinery to propel it, and maybe some good guy running inside the big wheel if they can fit...

I am a French in my 30's I come from a family of lego addict (my brother was into Space, City for my sister, Castle and Pirate for me). then around 13 we switched to collecting and painting fantasy figurines, builing diorama... winning numerous prices at competitions I am now a photographer, father of 3 young boys (very happy for all the lego santa will bring them/me in the next 10 years...) My dark ages stoped last year when I bought 80% of the discounted Galaxy squads for my elder 7 y.o son but then realyse he didn't deserve them :) So I started improving the sets's design and playability as a hobby. This year I bought 90% of the ultra agents, planning a huge modern city decor. and next year we will probably buy 80% of all the Nexo Knigts sets with my son (he was into Chima and Ninjago). I really enjoy to build stuff with him (he has never been into playng that much...) Happy to be here, See you around in the forum !! Christophe
