  1. I'm with Darkkazmo on this one. Competitors ensure progress.
  2. It reminds me of those little movie/anime licensed LEGO-style guys. Kubrick, I think?
  3. How's the little command station thing?
  4. That's a great reason. Are you talking about the books, the movies, or both? I could sort of agree about the movies, but the books are masterpieces. The LEGO is great as well.
  5. And why do you say that?
  6. How was it too early? And why is this topic still up if you can't show it on the main page?
  7. EUROBRICKS in legal trouble? You think they'd have caught them before now if they were worried about leaks. :|
  8. That's ugly. Jeff can do better.
  9. Then why not just say 'build a base from any theme'? :P
  10. I think Stargate is all fine and dandy, but you'll get much more participation if you don't limit it to one show that not all of us enjoy. ;)
  11. I'll guess $50-$70. I'll buy it, though I don't know what I'm going to do with my extra Anakin's fighter.
  12. Avarice is shiiiiiiiiny. You should start doing Dante's Inferno. Nobody's done Dante vignettes yet.
  13. I own a 20GB third-generation iPod, and I have good friends with iPod shuffles and iPod minis. I would recommend mine first, of course. At only $50 more than a mini, and four times the capacity (or is it five?). I don't have the clickwheel, but it seems to work well on the mini, so I assume it's the same for fourth-generation iPods (the available ones). I've had it for a year, with only the requisite scuffs from being run around with. It still works perfectly. Now, unless you're a gigantic music afficienado, you won't be able to fill this up. The only way I've been able to get halfway is by uploading audiobooks (which are excellent for long car rides, by the way). There are also more accessory options for the regular iPod. Shuffle is good for carrying a low amount of songs (it works excellently though), but that's not really what you get an iPod for in the first place. Mini is good for style, and not much more. $50 for four (or five) times the capacity is a good price to pay, so take the iPod, not the mini. It's not worth the paint job. Hope that helps! :)
  14. Bricklink's going to make a killing on those Jawas.
  15. It's still fairly sensitive around here as well. There were a lot of terrible things done in WWII, and it's still too close in history to repeat as a toy. Can you fathom seeing LEGO put out a little flag with a swastika on it? I think a better line would be a customizable 'Army' line. Release little troop packages (maybe 10 figures with some accessories) for each major army in the world, and then release generic tanks, jeeps, bombers, etc. with decals for all the different nationalities, so that you can build whichever army you like.
  16. Yeah, Wal-Mart doesn't stock nearly as much as they did before. TRU, though, has just about stayed the same.
  17. Thanks to whoever gave me it! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
  18. You have an odd fetish for that smiley, don't you?
  19. That is WICKED awesome. You lucky megablock!
  20. Are you aware how huge that box is, Jipay? Good luck getting that overseas. :oo
  21. Ah, no, you see, Jake confirmed on Lugnet that Vikings will be available on US Shop at Home. ;)
  22. I think the Slave 1 would be really cool (assuming it'd be the same size/shape as Jango's), and I'd be able to get all those figs I never got before. Considering LEGO's current obsession with pumping figs into us as fast as they can, I don't think that unlikely.
  23. Slight misunderstanding, I was talking about what you said here: 'In any case, Americans will be able to buy the vikings via Bricklink or E-bay,... I'm only afraid that these prices will not be fair... after all, original price is in euro, and demand will be high... the best way, i guess, is to visit Europe later in the year and get 'm yourself...'
  24. Did you read where it said we'll be able to order them at S@H?
