Indeed it looks very modern. I really like those crawling vines on the building exterior. Great job!

Joining just for fun. Here's my entry Thanks @Peppermint_M

It's a bad pun but I could not help seize the opportunity to make a cross-over polybag between Exo-Force and NINJAGO. The set is based on set # 3870 - Red Walker. Hence, the name of the polybag. This is the mock-up of the polybag in NINJAGO Legacy style, updated for the post-Mixels generation: Below are the other poses of the mini walker.

This is my entry for the NINJAGO Legacy contest. I wanted to build something odd or special that was featured in the TV show but was never built as a set. So, I ended up making the very first "hero vehicle" that our beloved ninjas used. Sensei Wu's Rickshaw was featured in the second episode of the 1st installment of the TV series and is seen on-screen for about 25 seconds only. Back then, each episodes were only 11 minutes so the screentimes of the vehicles were very short. In that scene we learned how each ninja was recruited by Sensei Wu. This is also the first time the 4 ninjas worked together in a strange form of team building.

This is fantastic! Looks better than the ending, thanks to your hamster.

LEGO BrickHeadz 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
makoy replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think this has to do with market calibration. Imagine flooding the market with these untested products. Frankly, I am happy that they scaled down this year because it doesn't seem to be performing too well -- at least where I buy my LEGO sets. All those released in 2018 were just sought after in the discount or clearance bins. -
TLG caters for larger age group including younger kids that can't be bothered by more points of articulation as already pointed several times. I know it sucks but as a company who wants to please broader audience (i.e. kids and parents), stability is a big factor in designing bi-pedal toys. If you can't grasp this concept, go read the replies of @Lyichir and @Aanchir once more because they elaborated this very well. Also, if you don't know them well in the forums -- they typically write very long replies -- it's not because they are emotional or something. Hahaha. Yes, this is one great advantage of any LEGO set -- we can just mod the knees. We have so many talented builders in the forum who share mods for all these no-knees mechs and robots.

I found this set on discount yesterday and the timing of this review is very convenient to me. One thing that I was particularly looking in your review, which I could not find, is the immediate content of the box once opened. I just realised how useful this one single image to check the completeness of the set so I also made a mental note to always add this image in my reviews. Apart from that missing image, the presentation of the review is very well thought and put together. Thanks for making this great review!

Exactly my thoughts. It's interesting that in two different shops I went -- there was a PAB that has that legs assembly with paw prints pattern, and there was one without those paw prints pattern.
-
I went to my local shop today and checked BAM. I bought the "bearded woman" too and it does have long eye-lashes. In one of my stash of BAM items, I also got a Pharoah head with black eyebrow (the original is dark blue) Also, I want to confirm that there is white upper and yellow dual-moulded legs -- it is different from Donald Duck's.
-
It looks like a white upper & bright light orange lower dual moulded legs which is the same as Donald Duck's ?

I think I can borrow and modify your technique when I build my own rice fields. This is such an effective way to make sweeping curves and enclosures for those rice paddy saplings.

Where should the next People at the ____ take place?
makoy replied to legoman19892's topic in LEGO Town
This sparked an idea in my head that TLG should survey the forums (or the internet) and look at the "state of MOCs" where these people pack can fill the gap so that they can populate a farm, space colony, pirate bay and even castle courtyards. I think that will makes sense instead of forcing the people pack to be part of the current running theme. -
Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
makoy replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Me too. How can someone judge the show from a teaser and format is beyond me. You have cited several great examples that storytelling can come in different packages and as long as used properly, the writers can drive the story forward to make a good story arc. Ninjago is not known for very deep and intricate storytelling so it may actually benefit in this format if it means making the pacing snappier and avoiding padding the runtimes.- 4,591 replies

The face is from S17 "Secret Character" a.k.a Highwayman

Fuzzy memory and I stand corrected. It looked like a Camaro. But you're right it's the same era and it could be any black also. Hoping there's a follow up set though... crossing fingers.

i agree that there will be limitation on how many animals can be added in the pack but that can be easily remedied by reducing the count of the minifigures in exchange of more animals. More then cost factors, the designers should look at the desirability of these people pack - otherwise, they won't be as successful as the first one. Also, so far.... the poll says there's no fun in the banks. -
Don't forget Billy's black 1979(?) Chevrolet Camaro (RS/Z/28) that was used in the retro commercial of chief Hopper's police pursuit... I hope it doesn't go unused. Welcome. It's all for the love of bricks.

[REVIEW] 75225 - Elite Praetorian Guards Battle Pack
makoy replied to makoy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Glad you like it. It's really the figures that make all these battle sets I can't blame you for having this opinion. TLJ is the least subtheme of Star Wars that I own not because it's the most recent but because there aren't many things to like. Great monochrome spacemen!- 12 replies

@Digger of Bricks there is a paid mod for this functionality somewhere... and I don't know if it is actually compatible with the forum software. I haven't been working on forums & PHP for a long while but I know that mod exists. Can't speak for the mods and admins here for sure, but it's a double-edge sword. If you have a favourite admin or moderator, I think it's easier to just tag them to get their attention. @Jim or someone with a short username probably
