The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I'm thinking about getting that Batman torso to erase the bat symbol and use it for Black Manta. -

I can't wait to see what that new hairpiece looks like on the 2006 Joker, I feel like it'd fit better on that variant better than the 2012 one, which I always disliked. I already prefer this movie's variants to the 2012 one as well, with that nicely detailed suit and tie and pants, I'm sure he'll come with his coat tails in whatever set he's in since these seem to be just factory leaks/defects. I think the only issue I have is with the smiling expression they went with, it looks like he's nervous, and I feel like they should've arched his eyebrows for a sinister smile like that one shot in the trailer. Either way, I think it's really great that they made this new design over recycling the variant we got in sets, like Man-Bat (which is actually a shame). -

Half of these seem to be figures that were confirmed to appear in sets, but I think it's likely this is fake. I remember before offial images of the 1966 batcave appeared, there was a render of the 1966 Joker that used Superman's hairpiece and it looked similar to these images. The swimming pool Bataan figure with the inflatable duck seems the fakest of them all -

It does say "in the phantom zone" so I'm guessing that weird thing is some kryptonian weapon or something that got sucked in along with Zod or other kryptonians. -
I've seen a lot of these but this is the best version of my favorite batmobile! Seriously, you even managed to put that divide between the windshield, and the entire thing looks so smooth!

This is our explanation then. It doesn't matter if we've had themes with far worse implications, the licensers decide what they want to promote and what's off limits. As if we haven't heard that already with the other issue of fox owned Marvel characters.

Yeah, not even DC is releasing sets based on any of their live action TV shows, although they did have comic versions of Supergirl, Green Arrow, Flash and his villains all released in the same wave. We already have gotten Iron Fist and Luke Cage, whether we like USM or not, and really I think it's clear that these Marvel cartoons and now even Agents of Shield (judging by the Ghost Rider and Detroit Steel sets) are the shows that will be drawn inspiration from. It just seems like any direct live action TV show material is saved for comic con exclusive figures.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I do agree that the bat cave and Arkham sets do seem like callbacks to the older 2006 versions, especially Arkham with the brown and black pieces. My favorite figure of this entire series so far is Alfred, although I can't tell if the sides of his hair are black or dark grey. -

I like that the Penguin's minions use chainsaws like in that Batman Returns concept art, and its great to finally get a closed umbrella piece, I'm going to have to get at least 3 for the other Penguin variants and one for Professor Henry Jones. I'm not seeing any sign of the Scarecrow in the Arkham set at all, since I'm pretty sure it was "hinted" that we'd get some version of him in that set, but oh well. Mr. Freeze looks interesting with a dome and Arkham City looking goggles on a blue head. -
I honestly had never heard of Detroit Steel at all, or Betty Ross having a Red She Hulk persona before the avengers game, so I guess I should've said more desirable characters, but then that's debatable as well.

Personally I think the best set of the three has to be the Detroit Steel set, even if I don't plan on getting it. The builds look really good judging by the ldd, although just as others mentioned it's pretty cool to see vehicles designed for big figs in the Hulk set, which at least has She-Hulk and two big figs I'll buy separately. The jet set does not grab my interest whatsoever, unless the Captain America figure turns out to look interesting. I mean I too would have preferred more well known characters over ones that Marvel is promoting, but there's nothing we can do about it but wait.

The spooky boy's dual molded legs are light grey, while the 2015 ones on the New 52 and BvS Batman figures are dark grey. -
I never thought I'd see a modular TMNT moc! This is very well done! The colors all look great together, and I really like the designs of the pizza oven and the booths!

I just want to share the awesome Suicide Squad Katana custom I got a few days ago from Onlinesailin. http://imgur.com/tvaHdQ4 I very much prefer this one to the official New 52 version. She's now part of my DC display that I rearrange based on character/affiliation just as someone mentioned earlier. I hope to post it soon after getting the remaining figures I want. -

That makes so much sense, I saw that he had a printed black tie and I still didn't put two and two together. -
Look up images of Lego blue batman and the results should show both the 2006 and 2012 versions. If it's not easy to tell apart, the 2006 muscle print with the large bat symbol has 3 lines on the sides of its abs while the 2012 version with the yellow symbol has two lines. The custom Bizarro I have uses the 2006 version.
-
You might have a custom Bizarro printed by onlinesailin. I have one and its a near identical match to the actual thing except the muscle print is a different, older design. It is also machine printed, so it has that texture and reflection to it as you said yours does. This version is the only machine printed custom I've seen that could be passed off as the real thing if not looked at closely.

Bruce Wayne looks so much like the BTAS version, I'm so happy! If we don't get Zatanna in a long while, that bow tie can be useful for a purist custom. On a side note, I can't believe we were actually discussing if there was a printed belt under the new physical one, I thought that was obvious the day the first trailer came out. -
There are pictures of a leak of Han Solo minifigures from an upcoming Death Star set, and the new hair mold would be perfect for the Jor-El polybag figure, don't know if that's been pointed out before. Here's a link: https://m.reddit.com...solo_hairpiece/

Cap has been confirmed to be Steve Rogers for some time now, if that's what's confusing you.

Well preliminary figures are sometimes shown as completely white or grey figures, so in this case one with red wings might look like a preliminary figure of falcon when it is really a figure of Super Adaptoid, who is actually grey in the Avengers Assemble cartoons.

Oh, I thought a helmet was mentioned somewhere. Probably my mind making stuff up after those pictures of Ultimate Captain America were posted a while back.

Right? I clicked 'latest unread' only to find out that we were talking about some hot dog vendor. EDIT: Oh I'm sorry, KEBAB vendor -
If Captain America doesn't get his own cowl, at least printed wings and dual mold arms would do. As for Adaptoid, I could see him reusing the micros Iron Man helmet going by images from the cartoon.
