  1. I actually noticed that too. There's always something to "collect" within a theme - but that's not a bad thing! What concers me is that TLG are more and more trying to attract kids by always including huge monsters in their sets! Nowadays there are no "realistic" or "sober" action sets anymore. This: has evolved into this: But they can't be blamed, of course. Lego is a toy. Cheers!
  2. For me personally, you'd have to draw a line between a MISB set I already have a copy of or a MISB set that I do not yet own in opened state. With both it's rather easy. The first one I'd keep as a reassurance, but only if I really loved the set - I'd like the fact that I always 24/7 had a brand new spare copy of it at hand in case of something "happening" to my opened one. I would know I could always take pleasure in a particular set's brand new condition if I ever badly wanted to. And if we're not talking about a set I really like but find rather Meh!: it gets sold in order to buy sets I like! Now with a MISB set I haven't got an opened copy of, I have to decide what I would appreciate more: said set in brand new condition or the money it would bring if I sold it. However, I would never ever buy a new set with the strict intention of never opening it. Only if I planned on giving it to someone as a present or passing it on to my children if I ever get any. But that's a different story! Cheers! And MISB sets on!
  3. Good point - something just came to my mind when I read it: Time Cruisers is exactly the kinds of structures I irritatedly saw being built when I was a child and we had other children over who were messing playing with my Lego! One couldn't provide a more precise description of the theme! Seriously!
  4. Very nice! Just a shame the legs can't be made more solid if you build him like that. Enpaz
  5. At first I thought this what about "Hänsel and Gretel" but I somewhat missed the gingerbread house so I checked the title again. It looks very nice nonetheless! I like the natural surroundings. Adios!
  6. Really good, NewRight! I love the "stringed" entryway with the lamps (or whatever it is - they look good). Also the roofs to its sides are remarkable! On the other hands there's that awesome statue, too. Looks so much like a MMV-converted-to-the-Ninja-theme-styled official Lego set! Enpaz
  7. Looks very nice, buddy! I can't really express it in words but the natural invironment in your MOC has something very attractive to it. Keep it up! Cheers!
  8. I like to see you're already quite participating in EB! Your MOC over in the Sci-Fi forum is very good.
  9. I love this set, and your review perfectly showcases what it's got, Inky! I really really really want to get it but I won't don't want to pay 20 euros for it. I'll see that I can get it for cheaper than that. Cheers!
  10. Ahh it's so smooth! Great job on it. The shape gives it a real armored look - it seems like nothing could stop it! Nice one, Basiliscus!
  11. Very impressive Giovanne, it's awesome! I really should check by the Sci-Fi forum more often. Enpaz
  12. Now that is seriously impressive! Looks exactly like one of those huge space crafts from popular Sci-Fi movies. Really good-looking. And it's even got an interior! Which is very nice, by the way. How long did it take you to build that thing? I'm curious. Do you plan on building it for real in the near future? I definitely would sometime.
  13. Someone really didn't understand the purpose of Lego there! Thanks for sharing. It should be explained to them that such a "useless pile of Lego bricks" actually would help their child develop and gather imagination, creativity and whatnot. IGNORANCE for the win!
  14. I'm afraid so!

  15. Greetings, Markus. You'll sure improve deine Englischkenntnisse here. Have a good time. Cheers!
  16. Hi Giovanne. Where are you from? I'll take a guess: Italy? Aaaand: what are your favourite themes?
  17. It looks great, the tree house is merging with its natural surroundings... Top work! I like Adventurers. Cheers!
  18. What an unfair fight... the lightsaber's from Hasbro, you know. :(

  19. Bricklink order... again.

    Do I hear a 'thanks'? No? :P

  21. Looks great! This is science fiction in its truest essence. Keep it up! (And maybe share how it's done... ) Cheers!
  22. Fantastic! I'm speechless. One of the best trains I've ever seen. You're amazingly talented, andybear! All your Japanese creations are so awesome!
  23. Great review Brickster! This is a set I got multiples of at the time of its release. It seems that even my parents had understood the importance of owning many of them. It's truly a bad thing such "troop sets", as you call it, aren't produced any more. Cheers!
  24. Looks good! That small tree is exceptionally well done. With the bigger trees, however, there's room for improvement. First off, you need to add twigs. What you used as a substitute for twigs are branches (the prefab element). No tree starts off with thin branches - at the beginning, thick twigs almost the size of the trunk itself grow out of the tree. Try inverted brown slopes! Don't get me wrong, the prefab element you used is great but I would advise to use it at the end of twigs rather than a replacement for them. About the bending of the tress: I personally don't like it. Could be just me, but I don't have feelings towards such flimsy structures. If I wanted a tree whose trunk isn't completely straight, I would either do the trunk with a brickbuilt slant or just use a hinge at the base. Your solution does look good and is creative, though, I have to give you that. The mud is something I also like about your creation, Masked Builder. Looks very authentic. To supply some constructive criticism, the edges are a bit too straight and angular - if you know what I mean. Another great thing is the elf, of course! Overall, I find this to be a very nice little vignette, Mr Masked. Your small tree has brought inspiration to my mind. Cheers! Enpaz
