  1. Totally /signed! Good post.
  2. Why don't you just shut the roller blinds? :P
  3. Welcome! - a member who precisely follows the rules will always be honored by the staff. Very... noble of you to wait with your registration till you're 18. Cheers and have a good time! Enpaz
  4. Hi! Those are pretty nice. I have only watched the first one completely (haven't got much time) and I like the ending twist very much. One suggestion, though: I don't know what software you use if at all, but you seem to have a problem with constant lighting. Try setting your camera to manual mode! Then it will not go crazy like that. Besides, if you don't utilise it already, the 3-lamp system is pretty neat and makes for perfect constant lighting - it's just three desk lamps over your set. Hope that helped! And pardon me if you already knew. Cheers! PS: the lighting thing refers to the second video
  5. Great piece of animation! And very true to the film. Keep 'em coming. Cheers!
  6. I concur! Two flash speeders = 150% awesomeness instead of the usual 100. But remember to get flesh limbs and heads for the security forces.
  7. Maybe it's something along the lines of building your own collectible minifig(s) that belong(s) to a certain or to some/many different actual LEGO themes? Give us more clues!
  8. I picked up Ninja Ambush of Ninjago today and it's a lovely set! I think I'm really getting into this line - at least it appears to be totally awesome! Cheers!
  9. Hello, man with a really cool and awesome hat! Your modular layout is nice! And any mod please ban the advertiser. Cheers!
  10. If you really mostly need only one mold for one element (apparently so it is), then why does everyone justify high set prices with new molds? Come on - I don't know exact figures of set sales, but if a set sells 100000-times, then even 20000 bucks a mold would be nothing for TLG! It would up the price of a set by 0.2 dollars only. Perhaps I'm wrong, if that is the case please explain the system to me and how it works BUT if I'm right, then I really cannot understand all the fuzz about new molds! The Lego Group is a huuge company, and Lego is the most popular toy on earth. 20000 bucks shouldn't concern them that much, or should it? And even then we're talking about the maximum. According to statements of other users in this topic, they usually cost much less, even "only a few thousand dollars" (which equals $7000 in my mind) to quote Brickdoctor here. Enpaz
  11. What'd interest me, how many molds exactly do TLG need to buy/create when they are planning to produce a new element? I mean, like 100s, or 1000s, or whatever? Enpaz
  12. Damnit! Totally forgot about this. Let's see if I can get something up these two remaining days. Anyways Klementina, it's a great contest idea!
  13. Could say so, I'm playing piano and electric guitar. Guitar I only rather recently started, but I am quite good at the piano which I've played for more than 7 years now, I think. It's hard to keep track. Music is great. Enpaz
  14. For me, it's Desert all the way! The most classic and most epic subtheme.
  15. Welcome! Mister Elijah (Woods) is right, your avatar is quite nice!
  16. We get all those Jedi, and clones, and Ewoks, but somehow I'm concerned about the direction TLG is going with the new themes. The question is, when is there enough detail and variety? I mean probably they really do look awesome in person and I'm excited, but I can't feel the unconditional enthusiasm that most or some of you feel. Let's see how it all turns out when they're on the shelves. Enpaz
  17. +1 for sci-fi for a splendid trade!
  18. Welcome! Your name's funny, I like it. You being a Dane, I assume you're already at a native speaker's level in the English language. When I went to Denmark last summer, I was amazed at the fact that on TV, I almost couldn't hear any spoken Danish at all. Figuring out how to pronounce "kanelsnegle" (delicious, I tell you!!) took me quite a bit of time that way, y'know! A city layout is always an idea worth pursuing. If you've got the necessary space, that is. Cheers! And have a great time at EB. And of course: rock on, nostalgia!
  19. If you really love Doctor Who, then of course you can buy them! But don't see them as additions to your Lego collection - because they aren't. Assemble them and have fun, but don't mix them with Lego. That'd be nasty. My advice is: Think about them they way you think about other toys without a relation to Lego, e.g. action figures. Keep 'em seperated and you'll live a long and happy life.
  20. Do you mean Pirate bases or bases in the entire Pirates theme? Either way, it's the Imperial Trading Post! It's just all piratey goodness there is combined into one single set. Aside from the big ships, of course. I don't completely understand why so many of you are going for 6279 Skull Island all the way, though. I mean it's not a bad set but there's something off about it. The colour scheme simply isn't really right. The red - blue - yellow. Somehow it turns me off! Cheers
  21. If a subtheme on its own is also a valid choice, then I know what my answer will be: REDCOATS! Beats even Star Wars. If one need take an entire theme representing all its subthemes, it would have to be Adventurers. Could you name a bad set of the line? SW is pretty close, but Adventurers is just more classic Lego if you know what I mean!
  22. 70 euros BrickLink order with 700+ parts! I always end up buying more than I intend to. Cheers!
  23. This news is shocking. Although I knew him very little personally, I know he was great person and a most valuable asset to the community. Noone should die at such a young age! Rest in piece, Zorro.
  24. Oh I've been reading short stories lately... needed them to prepare for an English exam. Cheers!
  25. Only 339 days till christmas!
