This is very well done.

Forget the books release this theme alongside the release of the first hobbit movie in December 2012. It would be perfect their target audience (kids between the ages of 6-14) would be going crazy over the movie and would beg their parents to get them Hobbit or LotR lego sets. The second movie is coming out a year later so they would get at least 2 good years out of the theme maybe even more and kids would love it as well as us adults. Its a win-win situation for everybody. TLG makes a fortune, kids are happy, and we get to finally have LotR minifigs without having to mutilate our current collection.

I'm right there with you a Tolkien line would be amazing. The possibilities would be endless. I can just see people on here in a couple years showing off there massive orc or elvish armies. Or a full battle scene of the battle for Minas Tirith. They could even use the skeletons again in this line since they were part of the battle for Minas Tirith. Dragons would make their first comeback in about 4 years since the viking theme as the Nazgul. I don't understand why anybody wouldn't want this theme. They could sell all kinds of battle packs for this theme.

Matn - Tia Dalma's Shack - 5 points I got to hand it to Matn this is hands down the best moc in this contest. The details with the water and the scenery were amazing. It almost made you wonder if the water was even made of lego.

I don't have a whole lot of western stuff but I will definitely give this a go.

I love the church roof it looks real and the brick wall next to it even more impressive not to much all the greenery. It almost doesn't look like lego. You are correct I have what you can call plain gold. I've been collecting coins for about ten years now. I want to add something else to this conversation as well collector value and demand plays a huge part being as there are only five of these in the world the demand will be stupid high. As far as coin collecting goes I've seem people pay over $10,000 for a US 1909 S VDB penny and about 400,000 of these were minted. Has anyone else come forth and said they had one of these? If not that might make the demand even more because this might be the only chance that anyone else will ever get to own one of these things.

I have some gold myself and honestly if I was you I would go to a toy auction or an auction where they sell star wars collectibles and see what you can get. there are millions of star wars fans out there. I would also start advertising this everywhere don't just go to lego forums find star wars forums as well you have a much better chance making more money with star wars fans than lego fans. You'll probably get at least a five digit sum for this very rare collectors piece. Good luck.

I would love to see this theme revived. I would buy these 2 sets if they came out a saloon and a stagecoach. I don't mean a small saloon either I mean a big $100 dollar one with 8-11 minifigs. I also agree with what someone before me said that a lot of the new stuff from PoTC would be useful in a new western theme.

This is the start of something big I'm going to try to make a carribean port town like ZCerberus did. I've already torn this church apart and started a cathedral. I also started on a tavern as well. The tavern will be based of the design of the one in the london escape set. The fort will be started soon but I need lots of pieces for it. It will probably be about a month before any new pics come up.
