Absolute worst case, you can get it for the hairpiece alone - the figure usually costs less than an official piece would anyway. But if we're looking for a perfect Dr Strange, I think we all know that when the official figure comes out, xinh, decool, and the rest will copy it. Between those, this, and the SY figure from a few months back, I think we'll be able to get our ideal figure. On the vein of customisation - if I were to apply a gold sharpie to a red cape to get a gold "trim" for Doctor Strange's cape, do you think it'd work or might I need a stronger ink/colour?

Looks good. Standard pogo slightly messy prints, but otherwise good. Might need to switch out a few parts with the SY Dr Strange, and/or wait for the official figure to optimise it though.

Looks good, we'll have to see how the Xinh ones come out, but I think between those two we'll have a solid figure.

Well I'm out of the loop, have they explicitly said it'll be CW Atom or might it be a more comic book-y version? And I guess they just depend on whether other designs for the new cap design will be around for them to "borrow".

Well it's usually a couple months, isn't it? That said, we got 3 years before Spider-Woman, so I don't know.

I'm not sure which ones are on single sale, but they might be early Xinh, which quality-wise isn't great. As far as I know: Decool (can tell from the hips - they're curved) is double sided. SY Generally aren't but tend to only include the neutral face not the angry one. Long story short, you can't rely on them to. Better suggestion - the new xinh captain marvel figure. On frequent single sale (just be careful not to get pogo) and comes with a spare double-sided female head.

Sure, if you think it won't wear off or wear onto the figure and colour over the printing. You think a yellow one would work for Reverse Flash?

Looks cool, but I don't have $40 to drop on a figure which I've already ordered a version of. Do you know of anyone who has just the cowl in Reverse Flash (or Zoom) colours? Or if it's easy/possible to recolour a regular flash one without it leaving colour able to be rubbed off?

I don't really see cute, but maybe imperfect. That said there is no right way to get his mask without a custom piece and this is likely the best solution. But does anyone know if/where it's possible to get a flash cowl piece in reverse flash colours?

I don't think I've been this excited for a set in a long time. Was kinda hoping we'd get a new style cowl for the Flash(es) but this will certainly do. Anyone got a link? An another note, have we heard anything about companies other than LEPIN releasing the civil war airport set? Not too impressed with LEPIN's printing or figures, so ideally want another company to make it.

You seem a bit short on X-Men but if you're not going for those then that's fine. There are also plenty more iron man variants out there. I notice you're using lego (or imitation of official) parts for Thor's helmet. SY266 which came out about a year ago features a custom part for that helmet which is (as far as I know) a lot closer to the comic book helmet.

What brand were they? Because there are better brands than others. Some wear down pretty quickly, and are cheap as anything (Pogo, for instance) whereas some seem pretty close to official.

I disagree - if we're talking value alone (which if you ask me if never a good reason to buy lego) then proper "collectors" wouldn't want to go anywhere near these. Besides, if lego didn't create a false shortage of their own supply, then I highly doubt these bootlegs would be anywhere near as popular. Besides, these people make figures that lego hasn't, and is unlikely ever to for one reason or another, and customs with official parts would cost far too much to be able to get anywhere near as many.

Yup. The one with Deadshot and New 52 (ish) Harley Quinn is Xinh, the one with Starfire and Pirate Batman is Pogo.

"New Arrivals" on that page has single sale for all of them except starfire. I guess that one is still in production.

Not a fan of the Pogo Harley Quinn, so if Xinh's look more like the renders then I'll stick with that and pick up the pogos when they inevitably go onto single sale.

LEPIN have already done an airport battle set, but hopefully a couple of the other regulars will do it too. I'm guessing from LEPIN's other sets the printing on the minifig/microfig from that set are pretty bad.

Got a message from a seller - they said that the new DC set is presale, and won't be released until the 20th. Just something to bear in mind I guess.
