So, this was very welcome news to me, but I heard this morning on the local radio that the Lego Company Inc. has bought numerous plots of land in an area off the interstate in Goshen, NY. There was a statement that Lego plans to join New York's slew of theme parks to compete with New Jersey tourism by opening a new Legoland here, the third one in the US. There are no Lego Shops in upstate New York (though we have four in NYC), so this is a very welcome attraction. So, what do you guys think? Is this welcome news to any members stateside? Update: I cannot hide my sheer excitement....reports have it that they are in early stages of development here, but hope to open by the summer of 2019.

I read this too. I'm not entirely against it, but.... This. And also, yeah! Jeff Goldblum!

And attacked by trolls. And the undead. And numerous flocks of every type of knight imaginable. (Save Monty Python's Black Knight chap) I do like this set, I passed on the Pirate one, but I did get the 2014 Spaceman minifigure. I think I'll be getting this one.

The Flash Tv Show Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to YoshiBlockr's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I stopped watching The Flash at Season 2, Episode 18, because I was upset about him losing his speed for the nth time, and I felt that the weekly dosage of a villain was making them more disposable in some cases than Marvel villains. However, I have been reading up, and I think I may hop back on the train. Season 2 sounds like it went out on a high note, and I have one question: If the Flash/Supergirl crossover happened on an alternate earth, how will the CW factor her into the universe they've built now that they have the show rights? Will they transfer over with a breach somehow? Obviously Barry can do this, but what about her, considering most breaches have been closed? -
San Diego Comic Con 2016
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Khscarymovie4's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think Lego should do some sort of exclusive SDCC line rather than making these highly sought after giveaways. They should make a line of their own stuff, something die-hard Lego collectors can enjoy, along the lines of Ideas. That way, not all theme fans are disappointed and item-less. Otherwise, I think Lego should just take a minifigure exclusive to a large set and give it away in special packaging (e.g. Green Goblin from this year's Bridge Battle would make a nice giveaway) or give away a future, unreleased minifigure from [said] theme, such as they did with The Hobbit. This year, I think we will definitely see the Doctor Strange set revealed and a Lego Batman Movie set revealed, but not a Rogue One set lest it be the official reveal of a constraction figure. Given how tightly under wraps Disney kept Force Awakans merchandise, I wouldn't expect anything, especially since that Force Friday is even later this year. -

Best set? I'd have to say the Web Warriors' Bridge Battle. I don't have it in hand, but the price per piece is under 10¢ USD, the minifigure selection is amazing and all but exclusive, and I love all of the little "Easter eggs" in the set. There are some great parts included, including "web" strings, a white net, the new shooting-web piece, and I know I saw an 6x16 black plate. Green Goblin is a superb minifigure, and I love his exclude pumpkin bomb piece. I even love the taxi. I don't have the set (obviously), but I will be buying it ASAP in the US when it becomes available. The only reason I don't say the Airport battle is the rehashed Captain America and (though welcome) the inclusion of the duplicate Winter Soldier. -

So, the Doc Ock set is not my favorite set this year by far, but I don't get why it's getting such a bad rep. It's over 440 pieces for $40, it's got four exclusives minifigures in it, even if one is an inaccurate Captain Stacey. The mech isn't the greatest, but it's got a nice color scheme, and uses the first rapid-fire stud-shooters in the Marvel Superheroes line (which is nice because I haven't bought any of the Star Wars stuff with them). I also like the Spider-board print. My only objection is the top half of the mech looks a bit too open, but I like it overall. I'll definitely be getting it, for one. -

Who knows? I wouldn't be surprised if we got a new Milano next year, given Lego's track record with Quinjets, but whether it's UCS or not would be a complete unknown to me. But again, this is the 2016 thread. -

Yeah, I don't even have the Helicarrier. I still have my Civil War stuff sitting out on a table in my living room, no idea where I'd put the summer stuff yet. Well, here in the US, I've still got two months to think about it. *rolls eyes* Yeah, Marvel stuff has been over-the-top superb as of late. I'd say there's no need for a D2C to come and mess up what good thing they've got going. -

No news is good news, so... Good news! We have zippo, zilch, nada, nothing, nuttin', and absolutely no news on the nonexistent upcoming Marvel UCS set at this time, but stay tuned for some more good news until we have news. Sorry, all were waiting for here is the Doctor Strange set and the...*chills*...Comic Con exclusives. -
6 minifigs and the base isn't out of the question for $30-40; it was done in the LOTR Uruk-Hai Army set.

^Why do you speculate this? Is it based on something in the Masters of Evil DLC in Lego Marvel's Avengers, or just a wishlist? -
