Marvel Superheroes 2018 - Set Discussion
Bricky Dee Williams replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Here’s some interesting set info. The ship in the Thor set, compared to a “mini Quadjumper,” is actually an escape pod, which can also be attached to the back of theMmilano in The Last Battle! Additionally, the space bike/scooter in The Last Battle seats two, and goes inside the Milano cockpit. There is room for two minifigures in the back of the Milano, and a removable roof. So it sounds as though the scale is somewhere between the two versions we’ve gotten, in 2014 and 2017 respectively. The new Milano so 22cm long, 46 cm wide, and 9 cm high.- 3,962 replies

I hadn’t noticed this, you may be on to something. Despite a watermark, the Solo sets are almost high resolution.- 3,962 replies

So, has anyone been able to pick up the new Black Panther sets in the US? My local Toysrus was told to set aside shelf space for hem but never received them, and now oddly enough they’ve even begun pulling other 2018 stock, including an entire wall of 2018 Star Wars sets, now where to be found! I’m really looking forward to getting these sets, any clue what’s going on with the distribution? And seriously? The Solo set images are available and we still don’t have Infinity War sets yet?- 3,962 replies

@SpiderJazz Now that The Brick Show has these images, and you’ve had them as long as you have, do you think they’ll be right around the corner for the public domain?- 3,962 replies

On another note, I’m not partial to buildable wings for Falcon. I quite liked the last attachment, I don’t know why they did this. Just to raise the piece count I suppose. Probably the 7th set. Given how Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 ended, I’m placing bets on her having a major story arc. And I’m guessing Lego isn’t relying on people using the Mighty Micros Nebula along with the Infinity War wave.- 3,962 replies

*sigh* It better be $60, or a Milano similar to 2014, for $80. The 2017 version at least had the Abilisk.- 3,962 replies

I’d like to think that if we’re paying for a $100 set, we’d be getting a new bigfig and mold. Groot was in a $40 set, the Sentinel in a $50 set. I’d like to think we’d leave them behind at that price point, with two big figs in a $60 set this past year. However...Steppebwolf was in a $130 set. When you look at him though, a big fig of Steppenwolf would have been very out of proportion. Cull Obsidian could use a mold though. Just my two cents. I’m personally hoping for a big fig, of course, and I’d like to think that’s the way they’re going to go.- 3,962 replies

It’s all good, only two models in the theme so I understand the absence of recognition. My interest is extremely peaked for the Sanctum now, knowing it will have an enclosed backside. I can’t wait for this set to be revealed! I wonder, will Cull Obsidian be able to fit inside somewhere?- 3,962 replies

@SpiderJazz Absolutely he should. It’s longer and better expresses the raggedness of his appearance. I think MarioPower just recently posted a picture of some old and new Marvel minifigures, including the IW Captain America with said hairpiece.- 3,962 replies

@Falconfan1414 I agree with you on the Thor/Groot/Rocket set. I think it will be a lot like Ayesha’s Revenge, with a hero ship and a small land-based side build where they find (or forge) Thor’s new axe.- 3,962 replies

That is great news, they are more fun to display (though not as fun to make room for!). I’m sure Infinity War has plenty of interesting set pieces to base the wave off of.- 3,962 replies

I believe it was around $30, with the Proxima Midnight set at $35-$40 @SpiderJazz Can you confirm the contents of The Last a battle set? Whether it’s the Portal ring, a ship, or something? Thanks for the info, I honestly don’t mind the repeat minifgures, and definitely don’t mind the extra Outriders included (I only display one of a minifigure at a time).- 3,962 replies

That’s amazing! Has anyone checked their local stores for the new Black Panther sets? My local ToysRUs has an influx of every bit of Black panther merchandise, except for the LEGO sets. They were told to put up spots for them on the shelf, but never received the stock.- 3,962 replies

The Shuri minifigure is coming, it was mentioned in a set description. However, the confusion ensues when a minifigure leaked that people thought was Shuri. It turned out the minifigure was from the Han Solo Star Wars sets. So yes, Shuri has been confirmed, but not leaked.- 3,962 replies

^Yep, not many 2017 discounts aside from Mighty Micros, unfortunately. Mostnof the good sales went to the LEGO Batman Movie sets, though I did see the Sanctum sanctorym for $20.- 5,808 replies
