  2. nice ;) Welcome to the active castle users ;) Join one of the guilds
  3. strong and cudly in the same time ;) love it :)
  4. Thank you, my friends :) I have a few more pictures of the castle, so you can sense how big it is ;) she is 178 cm high link I do not know is it appropriate to post pictures with people on it, but how else to get a grip of a scale?:) Anyhow, I've could have chosen my old, bearded neighbor as a scale model, but I somehow think that you will like my second choice more ;) Because it is a girl and I am not complitly sure that I can post them here, I will leave only links ;) link 1 .......link 2 ..............link 3 .....................link 4
  5. there will be a lot of cheese slopes flors and windows in chllng 3 ;) I love it :)
  6. We support extension :) In those 15 days we will not make any raids to the surrounding lands, as we will be busy building (but then again, can you believe a word of a Drow?:) Anyhow, those extra two weeks would be GREAT :) I must say that I've started building before a week or so because of a lot of real world work :( so I've spent first month doing nothing when lego is in question. For me personally, two more weeks mean another tower, another colossal bridge and 50% increase in heavenly garden :) (In details, not in size :); Also, it would possibly mean arrival of white bricks, and clouds :)
  7. No no no, I was being sarcastic (damn:) I made an example how far someone could go if we allowed that kind of freedom :) The normal things I've said are "me"; the strange, funny or embarrassing are me being sarcastic, making example how it could sound :) In nutshell: if allowed, there will be a 1000 requests about the rules, and there will always be someone that has to add 1001 rule :) Citing The Number One from Alan Ford: "Any fool can cook a great diner for 20 with 2000$. Only a real chef can do it with 18 cents" :) And about prizes, they ARE great, but even greater are the incorporeal prizes I've listed, and they should be the aim (respect, admiration, recognitions, fun while building etc). There could be nothing else by ultimate admiration about few guys who are sponsoring prizes themselves :) In nutshell: your prizes are perfect, but they should not be the driving force for building to other people, that is what I wanted to say :) Btw, I think the first challenge was the most popular because it was the first (the activity on Historica subforum was bigger then) You misheard the tone of my post, I am totally with you, guild leaders, love everything about Historica and would not change a thing (except if someone thinks of something new to add to the games:); And about the bounties, you can not blame a Drow, it is our nature :)
  8. I had an interesting idea, while building my minifigs; that the conquistador helmet and ufo armor with shoulderpads are a great, firm, fit together. And I wished an army :) ahahah ignore that one with the pistol :) The price for this is quite small, actually, it could be scraped together over the bricklink for about 40 e :) (for 60 warriors) Small price for such a beauty, I would say ;) They will be a main attack force rampaging trough Elesee-Luna, a celestial moonkeep. Girls posing in new armor:
  9. great stuff, my friend ;) We will have to penalize our archer, but as I heard, she requested asylum at your guild. Damn :) She was right, the only way she could come home is as a winner ;)
  10. I do not agree. If I am not happy because you use so much plant life inside your moc and you win, and I have only a couple of plant-bricks, does that mean that we will make prizes for "green mocs" and "red mocs"? Also, you use a lot of round plates, and I have only a handful which are not trans. So, we will have "round mocs" and "square mocs" prizes, also "green round" and "green square", "red round" and "red square" - for people who have plant life but do not have round plates... Then, you use a lot of trans for water. So, we will have the same prizes for "trans water" and second category "plain blue water". So no w we have "green round trans mocs"; " green square trans mocs" etc... And each category will have a justice set as a prize ;) And you can sell you car to sponsor those 256 prizes for 256 mocs. And when you bought everything, someone will come and say "I do not have ANY baseplates, so we should have one prize for "non baseplate mocs" total democracy is good for important matters, but not for micromanaging. People should build with bricks they have. I do not have PaB or bricklink (no paypal in my country) - what that means, only bricks you can use in building are those that you got from regular sets, and you can not use bricks you bought on bl or PaB? and you must prove that you have sets for bricks you use, using pictures of boxes or bills :) :) :) If someone has no blue bricks, and next challenge is "Lake" - he should use his imagination, and make a lake in night, black, or lake during winter, in white. We are making an army for next challenge, and you have only 5 minifigs? Build golems from bricks, or army of brick build animals. The pint is to use imagination, and not impede others because someone thinks that that other will win using something that he do not have. For example, then challenge 2 must be done again, I have only few rare colors, and Misty island from lisqr is mainly in them, and it is not fair, no wonder that he won - but in reality, he did not won because of the color, but of originality, atmosphere and impact. Same goes for the size. When organizations make that rule (max size 32x32) that is only because they are not strong enough to stand up for rightness and justice, because they are afraid that less people will apply if that rule is not there. Tomorrow, someone will say "Women are more artistic then men, and they can not compete in these challenges because they will surely win!" There is not A SINGLE ONE valid and/or moral reason for 32x32 rule (except when that is the sole point of the challenge, like 32x32 challenge on Classic-Castle). It is a plain discrimination and "tying hands" of a better combatant. The prizes are never that great that we HAVE to win, more less all of them we can buy by ourselves; The respect, admiration and recognitions is the greatest reword that we get in these challenges plus endless joy of building and thinking of new ways to combine bricks :) -------- Suma sumarum: If any of the guild leaders impose that silly 32x32 or something x something rule again, the Drow will place a huge bounty on their head, and we will also put a few of the curses ourselves, for hair loss, problems with girls and/or total polymorfation into a squirrel. The smallest one. :)
  11. Elesee moonkeep is growing ;) chechk the the thread
  12. Thank you ;) I will do it tomorrow ;) Regarding it is Easter, I had a whole day for relaxation, and I've relaxed with lego ;) Green and orange dragons (named Siercon and Coral :)) and micro temple were all made today (and the day is not over yet :) Temple will be seen as a building in a distance, lying on the top of the mountain, which is also on the cloud (or, there is a cloud on the top of the mountain, and the peek pierces trough:)) And while building I was searching for some part, and found this:) Now, it's a Temple of Helm :) (but lather I remembered that Helm's sigil is gauntlet with eye, and I could swear that playing Baldur's Gate I and II I've stumbled upon a temple which deity had a helmet as a sigil, but I can not find it now ;) For now, it is still a Temple of Helm :) This is the second dragon that will play in lake inside heavenly garden, and is named Siercon; with green crystal dragon (Coral), while playing together they make avatars of our friends Siercon and Coral. You know me, I tend to build and change to the last second before photographing, and at the end I will add splashing and maybe some wings of flippers or hands, will see ;)
  13. This dress-torso combo is fantasic ;)
  14. It is built exclusively for of Challenge 3 :) Here's some more update, with a first of crystal dragons, which will play in a heavenly lake :) (unless I change something and build something else :P )
  15. In time an time again it was proved that this is not the case, even more, I can not remember when a "colossal" size moc took first place in anything, no matter how good it was - partially because judges was afraid that, if voted the best, people will think it is for its size As much as you do not want to be limited with the amount of bricks that you have, I do not want to be limited with the space I can use. It sounds only fair? Or, on the other hand, Derfel should not be allowed to enter because he has insane amount of round plates 1x1, and it gives prettier look to the moc then common bricks. Or there should be limitations how many windows should castle have, because some members are discouraged with a lot of glass work? People should build how they like, there should be no limitations, and a good mocer can do wanders with 8x8. Bad one can not stir your emotions not with a 1024x1024 baseplate. Besides, you can not control builders who build on a larger scale: I once built a 2m high castle on a 32x32 baseplate, with no overflow. And I saw online a moc on 4x4m base, but only 4 plates high (yup, mosaic:) In any case, if someone is intimidated, he should work on his fear; if someone thinks that he will not win, he is wrong - building is winning, other prizes are more or less futile regarding to that joy. There are few builders in guilds that have imaginations, style, building skills, time to build and bricks to support that, but that is one of the reasons that I come here - chance to beat someone who is better then yourself, learn something in the process, maybe get a eulogy or two in a process, and have a lot of fun We should not be limited by those things like baseplate size, unless it is with some good agenda, but even then. Build a carriage - you will not build something larger then 32x32, right? It would be insane :) GOOD :) I would like to see a medieval carriage which can transport 200 soldiers :)
  16. looking good, Tazmaniac ;) btw, Drow are not sleeping eather ;) check the thread ;) There is no rest for the wicked when angels are defending (the gem:))
  17. I will try... I have 17 more days ( I need few for taking pictures and removing of background;) Btw, "black pool" is base for cheese slopes mosaic, but I choose not to build that easily breakable thing until the last minute :) Experience :) I've once blown dust, and destroyed everything :) Even if I do not finish on time, it does not matter, building this town is giving me such a pleasure, and Elesee moonkeep will be a jewel of the Drow creations, pride of Nocturnus ;)
  18. Ofcourse it is ok :) And, my dear historicians, the Drow are not underground, sleeping and doing nothing ;) (no rest for the wicked:)) Elesee-Luna is (slowly) growing: Also, a tropfy arrived from Siercon and Coral, and I will try to follow their line while making statues for heavenly garden :) (this was made by Siercon and Coral:))
  19. Is there something to drink around here? Can we hunt peasants? Do I have to be in a room near to that loud troll that snores so much? Where are the best shops for buying armor and clothes in this town? If an arrow strays and "accidentally" hit one of the pesky avalonians, is that a plus? :)
  20. Maybe a gift was not such a bad idea, sending money could make some law-like problems, while sending few plastic parts would not (just a thought) You could pick few chrome items from that firm and ship it, or, with communication with the winner, HE (she) could choose, and you would arrange paying :) Maybe easier solution, which covers everything :)
  21. warm is the perfect word for this moc ;)
  22. The Drow send Ariana Thunderbow, a halfbreed from the peaks of the Rakath mountain
  23. oh, do not worry, we are going to. The Drow are going to build (and burn for photo:) the biggest and goodiest city yet ;) If I succeed, I will build a more then 1m long bridge that will hold itself on four studs ;) with hanging tower, it will bi half a meter high ;) but I am building and it is a question if it will hold ;) Just look at the new moonkeep, there are almost 50 new minifigs, and few of them I count amongst the best I've made; for the first time I build not to play, but just for show; and the whole city is going to sit on a real lego clouds. I do not say it will win, because there are some great builders in all four guilds, but I am sure that we can arrange to assassinate, bribe, scare of wed anyone that is better ;) Drow rule supreme! And also, there could be some feedback with ideas, what could I build in this city Heavenly garden? What could it contain? Water, obviously, lot of fountains, a great tree (I'm building that, with spiral stairs around it:); some exotic plants? What kind of interaction? What could angels do? They will sing (obviously:), make sculptures, garden the plants, what more? (Some will fight with the Drow:) Other ideas? Could Drow "blight" the clouds over whom they walk? (Yep, this are "walking" clouds, if they can withstand a castle, they can also hold few Drow:) Anything that comes to your mind, I can incorporate, or develop with a team (and I have a sexy little helper that promised to pose near the castle when it is over - with a Drow mask and a sword;) Also, if someone has a PaB in their vicinity, I would need a cup filled with 1x1 and 1x2 red plates, I could pay via paypal, so contact me trough pm, please We are small in numbers, but so are diamonds, and they are worth much more then simple rocks;) let's beat those silly members from opposing guilds! ;)
  24. finally ;) welcome to the dark side ;)
