Waterdeep took almost ALL of my black bricks, and Leliana Lena took all of my white and trans-clear 1x1 plates - who would say? I must admit that I can either build big - or detailed - I do not have enough brick for both. I was the first one to fight size limitation (as size is not relevant for the victory, let us build as large or small as we want), but as I was forced to build with base restriction, I focused my time and energy into enriching details - and on big scale I could not do this because of the number of bricks limitations - I have more then enough of 1x2 bricks, but not nearly enough of inverted slopes to make it more interesting :) Also, one detailed tower is time consuming. Ten of the same are ten times more time consuming :) Which is ok, when you have unlimited time :) So, as much as I am still againt it, size limitation brought the best out of me :)

I was also sure that we hade one month :) Now I can build relaxed (but I know, I won't build anything for first month, and then I will be rushing trough last few weeks trying to finish ;) On the other hand, Waterdeep was the most relaxed build of all the challenges; I was building during the evening, while watching some show on pc, or just listening to the music, with no pressure, because I've started on time - and the base was smaller then I usually go; on bigger bases, at one point, five days until the end I realize that I have to finish 20 more things, each requesting a day of building :) And for me, when I HAVE to do something, it fast stops being pleasure, and becomes obligation. So, I will start building tonight ;) and enjoy every second, instead of "building" my self into oblivion :)

:) TLG, the new lego company staff, when they took over they pulled old Lego company from the brinck of bankruptcy. I like to think they came into "power" during 2006. introducing bionicle and fantasy era :) I loved the dwarfs, that does not mean I can not hate "money over quality" policy ;)

I've fixed the links :) Edit: I agree, but on the other hand, TLG had never done anything for me, the "Chinese plastics" they use are ruining my play, and the quality of bricks now and 20 years before can not be measured; prices are skyrocketing though. I will not even go into arms, violence and lack of compatibility. And there is not one reason in the world why would I do anything for them. I am not posting pictures, but links to them, and unless the owner or staff from EB tells me differently, I do not give rats behind to what TLG wants. If they want to sue me, they can, but by my country laws, I am not breaking any. I love Lego, and I loved it long before TLG as such existed.

My dear guildsmen ;) Your beauty is beyond my words, and I can talk a lot :)) How long do you want the Drow to keep the contest opened? Would a week be enough to bring your beautiful warrior ladies to the contest? Just a reminder: if you do not have any girl heads, that is not a problem - just use your imagination and use a guy's head, many of them WERE girls in the Lego world in my time when all the heads were the same, differenced just by hair or torso:)

I hear your pain :) Same here ;) But, I manage some how to get my hands on some bulks via bricklink I thought if you were somewere near to do something about it :) ...there is no other solution exsept internet, bricklink (I was reborn when I found it:)

Few days ago Drow and Nocturnus got a new ally: gigantic beast came totally disoriented from hilltops of Rakhatk Mountain, and you could see with first glimpse that it is just a cup, with just a month or more. But she (yes, it was a she:) was fearsome; she traveled a lot, lost her mother somewhere outside the lands of Historica, she was all alone, but not scared, she was weary of travels, skinny and dirty, with a scar over the left eye, out of the fight with a black dragon. But, when she laid her eyes on a Drow raiding party and Drow did not run, it was a love at first sight. Animal handler fixed her eye, gave her medicine and magic water to wash it, a rosfrai (a metal from deep dwarwen mines:) bowl and a beach with a lot of sand to do, you know what ;) And girl from Avalonia who had a Drow lover called Gilence was just passing trough Nocturnus named her: "Marica" :) Ivica and Marica are equivalent of Hansel and Gretel in our language Any how, after Drow fed her with a big whale, she was so thankful that she agreed to help with construction of the next Drow city ;) Her you can see her making adjustments of the mosaic floor :) "this needs a little push" it really does, good eye ;) "yup, this is just the right size" construction detail ;) "this stud is loose, let me fix this for you..." Building and enjoing :) She is keeping Drow awake during the night and wont sleep on her place (some other guild member with similar beast could give few points and Drow would be SO thankful:))), she has the softest voice and love to cuddle more then any other creature in Nocturnus (heh, not much of a competition:)), and when one of the Drow warriors was cut (during the fight with smaller elemental:), she came and licked his wound :) "I am pleased with it for now" - resting after the hard work :)

oh? where? :)) point me in that direction, I will go just for a minute or two to make some ruckus ;) and Drow will be back before the dawn, promisse ;)

great celestial green and gold combination, I love those minifigs ;) And those hands out of rock monster, I tried to do that, but I could not take the monster hands out the sockets ( at the end I was afraid that I would brake the whole figure). How did you do it? Great entry, btw ;) And, the same could be said for all :)

Yes, yes, this was just a happy coincidence :) I've remembered this moc, and it had some of the elements ;) It was disassembled a long time ago, I've disassemble all of my moc before making another one, only thin still alive is fifth guild and mosaic for fire and ice temple (that will not survive long:))

Thank you! :) I am planning to take those hands of torsos and attached them to castle torsos, it should make some nice custom minifigs (like with Woody's hands :)

is it my imagination, or does this torso have longer arms then usual? (and also, something looks wrong with hands...) Could this be something like Woody's torso? (I am asking because I can get my hands on them for a price of 0.1 e, and those long armes do look great on a normal torso...) For tracking my bricks I am using program BrickStore (found it on net somewhere:); I have a folder "Lego catalog" and inside few files, named: "brick, brick arch, panel, plate, sparkly (heh, for trans:), slope, mix etc fro the purpose of clarity. I am very pleased with this system

Too late now, we are sending Drow raiding party! :) That aside, you can implement any story into Historica :) If Celestials become a guild, they will have major impact on guilds. If they are not selected, they will still exist, but they will not present such a threat (or influence); they will raid a city or two, and then stop (for some reason), and continue to exist in the background :) Even now you can build what ever you want and implement it in any way you see fit into Historica world :)
