I found series 15 packs in the local supermarket and bought 199 (the whole lot in fact ! )... And you're right : once you found the recognizable part(s) of each minifigure, it's easier and faster to have the ones you want. Some identifying characteristics for this series : - big skull for the shark suit guy - round and flat shaped dress for the ballerina - cup for the wrestling champion - grapnel (and its gun) for the jewel thief - large dress for the queen - swords for the kendo fighter - hat and long bar of the janitor - "wings" and big sword for the laser mech - butterfly net for animal control officer - wings / helmet and a long lance for flying warrior - baby and hairs for Tribal woman - 3L bar as the instrument for Faun (check if there's no shield and helmet, because frightening knight has 3L bar too... Astronaut has a 4L bar and Janitor with a longer bar for its broom handle) - crutches for clumsy guy - shield for frightening knight - flag for astronaut (with the 2 clips), or its oxygen bottles (and the flag's handle is a 4L bar, not to confuse with the Faun's 3L bar... ) - fork and the hat for the farmer

Hello, for the 1st time I showed my castle during LEGO exhibitions for our LUG Festi'briques. It was in october in Auxerre and in november in Nancy (both in France) I finalized the sides. So for now, this version is completed. I will work on some other projects, and I will come back to make another phase of this castle project. I know that it's a project on several years... For the moment, I don't have the stock of bricks to do the rest of the build (and the money to buy it !) And as a member of a French Lug, I will also have other projects to do for our exhibitions. That will put this castle project on hold. However, I will not give up. I already started to study the following parts to build. This step costs nothing (except time...)

Hello ! I always loved the Bavarian castle of Neuschwanstein, since I was a child. So, when a few years ago I saw it made of LEGO, I said to me that one day, I will made it too… (When I look back, I think it was probably at this time I came out of my dark age) This is the work of the LEGO castle's specialist : Bob Carney (http://www.carneycastle.com/index.htm) It was its 127th castle, in 2010. It was exposed at Brickworld 2010 and 2014. I used reverse engineering from pictures of the LEGO castle to draw my own plans of a part, to begin. When I found correct dimensions, I used a Lego CAD program (MLCAD) to build it virtually. I only used the pictures that are on the castle's page of Bob's website (http://www.carneycas...stein/index.htm) After several months of work (it's hard to have much free time when you have a job and a family…), in January 2015 I was ready and ordered the first parts. In April, I made a second part. For now, I have build the whole entry, the lower courtyard and the watchtower. Instead of leading to the upper courtyard, the stairs leads to a wall walk and to the foot of the watchtower. Sorry, at the time the photo was taken, it wasn't quite finished... Its builder himself said that it is technically a palace, not a castle… I hope you will be accept me anyway in the Castle theme ;-)

Thank you ! Yes, BrickJagger, I noticed that the Lego world changed a lot during this long period ! Unfortunately, for some people, it has become a money matter and an excuse to speculate... I had a look quickly to the historic theme forum. I will take more time to discover it.

Hi everyone, I'm 39 and I'm from France (from Lyon, in the south-east) My first Lego period was from beginning of the '80s to beginning of the '90s. After, there was a veeeeery long dark age (about 20 years !) And I rediscover Lego few years ago. The starting point for this new beginning was to find the Lego from my childhood in a box in the attic. Since then, they are part of my life, and my kids also took the virus I like almost all themes of Lego, but for the moment, I'm in my "Castle" period… I started to learn and use MLCAD. But the real fun is to play with real parts. I am really interested in sharing experience and to communicate with fans of Lego from all countries. Richard
