  1. This is WICKED COOL! ( If anything, the arms would be too long if this were an actual person.)
  2. AWESOME!! And I'm glad it's made of real LEGO and not virtual. Physical forced you to use what you had and to me that's part of the LEGO experience.
  3. I have no idea what any of this means. LOL It's probably safer for me that I don't. Jestro. Merlock. These names sound cornier than some of the new SW ones.
  4. I'm hoping we can see CM4Sci's drawings when NK is finally released. I think I'm more curious about them than the actual line.
  5. Thanks for all of the positive comments everyone!
  6. Are we only allowed to post MOCs that are minifigure scale?
  7. This is a MOC I built having to use a cup element in the build. It's Star Wars but not Star Wars so I hope it's OK to post here.
  8. Really, really cool! I haven't really tried to MOC a building yet but will keep this build in mind when I do.
  9. Thanx again everyone! I really wasn't sure if leaves were giving me the effect I wanted but I'm trying to stretch my building skills so I went with it. I was looking at pictures of this MOC again and thought "this looks like a birthday cake"
  10. Here is my entry: http://www.eurobrick...opic=113707&hl=
  11. Most of the other races in Historica considered the hunting of Nocturnian crocodiles by the Lizardmen to be a form of cannibalism, seeing as the Lizardmen had evolved from the Nocturnian crocodile. The Lizardmen, however, merely saw it as survival of the fittest. Notes on the build: The biggest challenge for me on this build was the limited number of pea soup green elements I had to make the pond. A combination of bricks, tiles, plates and slopes were used, some obviously illegally. The second challenge on this build was one I set for myself. Because I had used the "leaf" elements for the "splash" in the water, and the "blood" I avoided using any form of the same element anywhere else. It is very easy to go overboard with the foliage and I actually stripped a lot away so that the main focal point of the build, the Lizardwoman stabbing the crocodile, could be seen. I was tempted to use a plain base made from black bricks because this really takes place on level ground, but wanted to keep an organic feel to it so went with what you see instead.
  12. [Lykoi Sicarius stepped through the doors of the tavern. Supposedly, it was the best tavern in these parts, the pulse of the city. It seemed to be deserted. His footsteps echoed as he walked across the room, passing tables with empty chairs. Lykoi touched the counter of the bar, a thick dust sticking to his fingertips. It seemed as if it hadn't been cleaned in over 6 months. He walked around the bar and grabbed a bottle of what he hoped to be a strong spirit. He wiped away some of the dust from the label. It would do. Lykoi took out a gold coin from his purse and tossed it onto the spot where the bottle had sat. It was more than enough to pay for the bottle. The proprietor could keep the change. It looked like he needed it. Lykoi Sicarius walked back around the bar and pulled the cork from the bottle with his teeth, not bothering to sit. He took a swig of the spirit and put the bottle on the counter hard. The sound of the bottle connecting with the counter sounded like the crack of a whip in the empty room. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and stared into the dirty mirror hanging behind the bar. He thought about the mission he was about to go on, once again going over the details in his mind. At least the place was quiet.]
  13. I have a hard time navigating back to threads I saw before. Wasn't a new challenge having to do with gathering food just started with a deadline in September? I have a build in mind but can't find that thread. Help!
  14. STRANGE MAGICS http://www.eurobrick...opic=113374&hl= |SEE AR AR THREE| NOCTURNUS
  15. THANX, EVERYBODY!! People sure are supportive here! This build had a lot more vegetation and heads on poles when I first built it but it was too busy so I "trimmed" a lot off. Plus, objects in the backround were keeping me from getting good shots of my main characters. That's why the first picture of my entire build is a little bit different than the second. I was worried about how this story would be taken since I poked fun at some of the other guilds. The Avalonians had it coming to them, though, for trying to claim my Crimson Brotherhood for themselves!
  16. Lykoi Sicarius watched impassively as the old witch tossed another ingredient into her boiling cauldron. Each time she did it caused a burst of light and the brew threatened to boil over, then settled before it could. As she worked, the witch uttered words in an ancient language that Lykoi didn't understand. There were probably few alive who did. "Why are we here, again?", asked Faolan, the younger of his two companions, not quite successful in hiding the fear in his voice completely. The fact that he had changed to full wolf form didn't help. Truth be told, there was a time when Lykoi himself would have found the hairs on the back of his neck standing on end as the witch worked her strange magics. Not that he would ever admit it. "We need this potion for our next task.", replied Lykoi, with a patience few were given. Normally Lykoi's patience would have run out long ago but for some reason he liked this pup. "Look at all of the corpses strewn about!", Faolan exclaimed. "The old crone couldn't possibly have killed them all by herself. Could she?" "One or two of them might have been unlucky travelers she found lost in the woods", answered Lykoi. "Most likely the majority of them were payments. You should keep your voice down and be mindful of what you call our host. She may seem to be in a trance, but you can be sure she is aware of everything going on around her." As if to emphasis Lykoi's point, the witch suddenly and violently slapped the strange creature she had assisting her when he gave her the wrong ingredient. The wretch was knocked to the ground from the blow but quickly got back to his place by her side and handed her the correct item. She had not even glanced at him or paused in her incantations. "Payments?", the pup responded, truly bewildered. "Do you think a carnivorous witch has a need for gold out here in the middle of the swamps?", Lykoi replied. He himself had paid the old witch 7 orc heads for the potion she was concocting. A bargain, really. Orc heads are easy enough to obtain and Baal knows there's an endless abundance of them. "Gods! Is that a dead horse in that tree?" Having looked up, Faolan suddenly noticed something he hadn't before. "Who's this? The witch's latest victim?" A man was imprisoned in a large cage that hung from the tree. "Where do you suppose he's from?" "Avalonia.", stated Lykoi, without looking. Maybe one day the pup would learn to instantly take in his surroundings. Lykoi had spotted the idiot in the cage before they had crested the hill leading to the witch's camp. "Avalonia? How can you tell?", asked the pup, studying the man intently as if he were an insect in a jar. "The aquiline nose. The silly clothes. The yellow complexion.", said Lykoi as he watched the witch toss what looked like a human arm into the cauldron. "Well, why does he stand there gaping at us like an idiot?", said Faolan. "Why doesn't he call for help?" "Maybe she put him into a trance.", answered Lykoi. "More than likely, she cut out his tongue and had it for an appetizer." "Which is what I'm going to do to you, pup, if you don't stop your endless questions!", spat Lykoi's sister, Accalia, suddenly turning on Faolan. Accalia usually spoke only when absolutely necessary. Apparently, her patience with the pup had reached it's limit. "Must you keep prattling on like an old Mitgardian woman?!" Just at that moment, the witch tossed something else into the cauldron, causing another flare of light, which reflected off of Accalia's eyes, making them seem ablaze. Faolan backed away from her in fright and didn't dare speak another word. A slight smile appeared on Lykoi's face. His sister could be as cold and vicious as the snow-swept battlefield she had been born on. He still hadn't told her that Faolan was the key to their next goal. Of course, the pup was totally clueless as well. Lykoi stared into the witch's fire and once again mulled over his plan, while the old witch continued to mutter her cryptic incantations, invoking strange magics. THE END (?) THE BUILD: Sorry these aren't the best pictures. The first picture I took before I made some changes. I took some clearer pictures but didn't realize that the plant in the front had been knocked over as you can see in the second picture. Maybe I'll retake the photo's again but I've been working on this build for a month and wanted to post this story while I still had it fresh in my head. Plus I would have to do some repairs because pieces fell when I moved it after photographing it.
  17. This is the best review of this set I have read. You actually made me hate it less than I initially did. Excellent writing.
  18. I don't know why so many people worry about their building skills compared to others. This is really good. I like the woman pouring the water out the window! The only thing bothering me is your use of the word "stuff". Merchants would sell wares or goods, but wouldn't use the terminology "stuff".
  19. Thank you everyone for your compliments!!! I like to do vignettes and find that there is a challenge sometimes to "tell your story" in such a small space.
