  1. Happy Birthday Tanotrooper! ~buddy~
  2. Yes it is , and there should be a postal option as usual, but the price for that has not been announced yet. ~buddy~
  3. The sets are as follows, in date order, starting with Saturday 14th and going down the list to Friday 20th : 30051 - Mini X-Wing 30131 - Jack Sparrow in Boat 30130 - Mini Black Pearl 30080 - Ninja Glider 30081 - Skeleton Chopper 30083 - Dragon Fight 30091 - Car They come with The Sun, which 30p for weekdays (I think) and I think it is more expensive at the weekend, but 30p is cheaper than 45p for the Daily Mirror. ~buddy~

  9. I have the 4641 Speedbpat set in front of me now, I reviewed it here yesterday, here is a link to review, click here, and I have just looked at the 4x3 wedge plate and I can confirm that it is indeed part 48183, not the new part 90194. Hope I've helped. ~buddy~
  10. The source of the problem is that a plate with door rail is 1 and a half studs long and the piece needs to be 1 stud and 1 plate long. Basically, the plate with door rail is a quarter of a plate too big, half a stud is 1.25 plates long (1 stud is 2.5 plates, when here the gap is 1 plate long (1.25-1=0.25). Hope I've helped. ~buddy~
  11. As you may have seen, today I have posted reviews for the new 7049 Alien Striker and 4641 Speedboat, I bought them both from TRU, along with 4642 and 7050. TRU have all of the new Alien Conquest sets and City Harbour sets available instore. They are not in the Lego section but are in the 'featured items' area near the entrance to the store. The prices are as follows: 7049 £3.99 7050 £8.99 4641 £3.99 4642 £13.99 ~buddy~
  12. Review: 4641 Speedboat Name: 4641 Speedboat Theme: City (Harbour) Year: 2011 Pieces: 34 Minifigs: 1 Price: £3.99/$4.99 This is my second review on Eurobricks, so any constructuive criticism and feedback would be welcomed, so that my future reviews can be better and of a higher level. This morning I went to my local TRU, and they had all of the new City harbour sets available, so I purchased 4641 and 4642. Product Description Master the waves with the ultra fast LEGO City Speed Boat (4641)! Get ready for the ride of your life when the Speed Boat commands the water! Strap on the sailor's life jacket and head out for a day of fast-paced fun. Whether you're entering the Speed Boat competition or just out for a breezy ride cruising around the lake, the speed boat will take you everywhere you want to go! Now to the review! Box and contents The box uses bright colours, with the boat on the ocean with the Lego City skyline behind. Box front and back: Box Side: Box Contents: Box contents with opened bags: When you open the box, there is a single instruction manual, three large parts that aren't in bags and two bags with parts in. Instructions: They have the same image on the cover as the one on the box. Random instructions page: Page in the back showing a harbour scene/diorama using all of the new harbour sets: As you can see, the instructions have the normal light blue background, as they always use on City sets and the colours are easy to distinguish. Minifig The minifig in this set has an Octan Torso and life jacket, with the usual printed head with sunglasses and a blue cap. There is no back or leg printing on the minifig. Minifig without life jacket on (front and back): Minifig with life jacket on (front and back): Build The speedboat is a quick and non-challenging build, with just fifteen steps. New/Interesting pieces: There is two or the molded big aeroplane parts, a 4 x 6 and a 1 x 6 plate with slope parts, a Trans-Black windscreen, a 'cheese grater' part in both red and black (black not pictured) and a 1 x 2 brick with stud on both sides. After step 4: After step 8: After step 12: After step 15: The complete set Extra part: Just one lonely white cheese slope! My Ratings: Minifig: 6/10 The minifig is alright but doesn't have any new or interesting parts, but it does the job it was made for well. Parts: 7/10 The parts in this set are good, but there aren't any new ones. Build/Design: 9/10 The design is good, and it looks good from most angles. To improve, it could have more detail, such a seat for the minifig. Playability: 6/10 The playability is good, children can push the boat around on surfaces, bu the playability for children is less, becuase the boat doesn't float in real water, because of the brick-built hull. Price: 10/10 Great value for money, the boat is quite big considering the price of the set. Overall: 38/50 A great little set! Thanks for reading. ~buddy~
  13. Thanks for the comments everyone! Thanks for the criticism, the lighting was natural and the backgroung was simply a piece of white paper. Also thanks for the tip about 'white balance', I've just set it differently on my camera. ~buddy~
  14. This morning I went to my local TRU and they had all of the new Alien Conquest sets and Cty Harbour sets on the shelves, I bought: 7049 Alien Striker 7050 Alien Defender 4641 Speedboat 4642 Fishing Boat I've already reviewed 7049 in the Sci-Fi forum and will review the 4641 Speedboat in the Town forum later. ~buddy~
  15. Review: 7049 Alien Striker Name: 7049 Alien Striker Theme: Alien Conquest Year: 2011 Pieces: 42 Minifigs: 2 Price: £3.99/$4.99 This is my first review on Eurobricks, so any constructuive criticism and feedback would be welcomed, so that my future review can be better and of a higher level. This morning I went to my local TRU, and they had all of the new Alien Conquest sets available, so I purchased 7049 and 7050. Product Description Stop the alien invader with the LEGO Alien Conquest Alien Striker (7049) set! The alien defense unit soldier is on the look out for an alien invader speeding around the city. Stop the outer space bully from capturing anything he can get his suckers on! Dodge the striker's laser guns and send the bug eyed invader back to where he came from! Now to the review! Box and contents The box uses bright colours with Lime strips across two of the corners. Box front and back: Box side: Box contents: Bag contents: When you open the box, there is just a instruction booklet and one bag of parts, no sticker sheet and no big parts that aren't in the single parts bag. Instructions: They have the same image on the cover of them that is on the box. Random instructions page: As you can see, the colours of the parts are easy to see and the page is Lime and has darker green patterns on it that are just noticeable. Minifigs Both of the minifigs that come in this set are great, and they pratically make the set, with the spaceship being as small as it is. The Alien Defence Unit (ADU) soldier has his helmet, torso and legs in the new Azure blue colour. There is printing on both sides of the minifig's head as well as its torso. This set has the long-awaited Trans-Clear visor in it. One side of the minifig's head shows the soldier with a grin/smirk on his face, but when you turn it round, he has a sort of shocked/confused face. ADU Soldier: Here is a comparison of the ADU soldier and the Spaceman minifig from Series 1: The Alien Trooper (as he's referred to on the TRU site) has a printed head, that is made from normal ABS instead of silicon, like the Atlantis molded heads are. His head is Lime green with a printed brain-like pattern on top and comes in a little bag within the parts bag. The Alien Trooper only has printing on the front of his torso and legs. His arms are either Dark Pink or Magenta (I can't tell which). Alien Trooper: His head piece in its bag: Here is a comparison of the Alien Trooper and the Alien minifig from Series 3: Build The spaceship is a quick build, and it has a nice shape to it. Here are some pictures of the build and the new/interesting pieces: New/Interesting Pieces: There is the new gun piece and the visor in Trans-Clear, as well as 1 x 1 round plate sin Dark Purple and a light blue colour (I'm not sure what colour it is). After step 4: After step 8: After step 12: After step 14: The Complete Set Extra parts: My Ratings: Minifig: 9/10 The minifigs are great and detailed, with the soldier being in a new colour and havin the visor in Trans-Clear and the Alien have an excellent molded head piece. To make the minifigs 10/10, I would say that the Alien could have back printing and the Soldier could have had a new helmet, but that is just nitpicking at these great minifigs. Parts: 8/10 The parts in this set are good, with some great new ones such as the gun and Trans-Clear visor. It would ahve been nice if there were some printed tiles in this set. Build/Design: 8/10 The design is good, but to improve, the space ship could have a bit more height/depth to it. Playability: 7/10 The playability is good, children can swoosh the spceship nicely but the Soldier has nothing to chase him on and can only 'shoot' at the spaceship. Price: 9/10 Great value for money, but I wouldn't mind 50p off the RRP. Overall: 41/50 A great Little set! Thanks for reading. ~buddy~
