@Superkalle Thank for let us learn another LDD technique. Some pelple may hate collision restrict of LDD. But I think it make LDD a unique, realistic and lovely Lego CAD. Always feels like playing puzzle games when solving build problems. This is what we can't find in real Lego bricks.

I found the answer. Sometimes just use flex tool only also work, but have to trials and errors. HD 720p

@'Superkalle' Thanks, I did that by hinge align tool, too. EDIT: left side by hinge align tool, right side by flex tool.

LSculpt software can convert any 3D model to Ldraw file, but seems like it support plates mode only. http://code.google.com/p/lsculpt/

Another advantage of Mecabricks. Just publish your unfinish official set. Anyone can continue your work then publish the update model until the set complete.The last builder give credit to all builders. Then everybody remove their unfinished items. This way will save a lot of time and get new official very quick. It is possible to build a turn base board / chess game and play online with your friend.

There aren't any design id in Mecabricks. I agree that if not exactry same mean custom. edit: Maybe in case no TLG one yet, a very similar custom should show in both categories? If some one show me a pic link of bottom side of the slide. I will try to model the same. After test with 41008-1: Heartlake City Pool. Just change camera angle in LDD then save file. What you see in LDD is what you get render. Trick: Adjust LDD window size and bricks pallette width to make LDD view port ratio close to ratio of render output (ie : 4:3 or 16:9). Then find best camera angle and save. The size of model will close to what you see in LDD.

Totally agree. Very little hope for LDD. I hope the function that you suggest will not take Mr. Scrubs too much time to add. You are right, but the advantage of Mecabricks is everybody have the same custom bricks all the time without any update or modification. Super convenient.

Thanks for the comment. It is no limit in virtual world, so why we limit ourselves ? Besides, how know some of this part will not be come real in future? I am going to make water slide series next. Let't make Mecabricks become the first Lego CAD that beveled on the fly, and custom bricks welcome. What do think abot to add 0.1 mm 45 degree taper to main edges of basic bricks/slope/most use parts, to simulate bevles? Maybe as an optional category. 0.1mm x 2 is same as real bricks side by side gaps. The models will look better and easy to see bricks joints without to increase too many polygons. Dear Mr. vynsane, It is good to hear different comments and suggestions, so please feel free. Hope that Mr. Scrubs will feedback to your nice suggestion about category. I will work with Mr. Scrubs to model many more new parts for Mecabricks for sure. (Both exist and unexist.) I have planed to model new parts for Ldraw for a while, but now I think Mecabrick is the best and easiest platform for anyone to play with custom bricks and share their creations. I totally agree with you. It even better if TLG make bricks idea as LDD addon download. Then bricks idea will be easier to test and can be rendered by LDD2Povray. Thank you very much. I got a better idea. I can modeling many new parts for Mecabrick and e-mail to you. Would you please convert them into Mecabricks.(I can't do this myself right?) The standard units / dimensions is brick_width : stud_dia : stud_height = 5:3:1.1 right? If not please tell me. Please tell me all kind of 3D file formats that you can use to convert. (Surface modeling, not solid right?)
