hey, i made a swoop bike today (as seen in Star Wars - Episode II), only using the parts of the yellow and the green X-Pod... and i didn't use a picture of the original, i only created it from the picture in my head, please don't expect the bike to be very accurate... two minutes ago i wanted to build up a little bot from spare parts... when i tried to clip a battle droid arm (had i mentioned, that i LOVE these parts?!? ), once again the clip broke... and that is not the first time that something like this happened.... there were up to ten arms, that broke off on one of the two ends... also this happens with 1x1 tiles with clips on the top... thats why i had to complete my naboo swamp via bricklink.... (for the arms i used the replacement service...) but the cause why i am posting this here is, that this never happend in my childhood.... i cant remember ANY clip that ever broke.... the first one was the clip from the naboo swamp and since that time there where several parts that broke... is this a problem of using new plastic for the bricks or are they fabricated in different ways? or was i more careful when i was a kid?!? maybe i should add, that this problems doesn't only affect clips, also serveral other parts are breaking, like these (both happend with the parts from my x-pods, but also parts from the last advents calendar are affected): both cracked slightly (they still work...) at the base... so, whats your experience?

hm, the big locations like cloud city are realy cool, but normally i can't afford such large sets... :( i would prefere several little sets that can be put together to a bigger one, like jabbas palace... if there where some more additional sets for it, it could be a REALLY GREAT...

I thought at almost the same!!!! brown chocolate bricks!!!! :happy: and tan / white ones from whtie chocolate... and bricks that are made from the same stuff like gummy bears!!! that are transparent bricks!!! oh, THAT would be really fine!!! :lol:

strange, is it possible, that every thread goes completly off-topic here?!? :P and what about the story tellers??? they inlcude also some (VERY small) locations (death star / trade fed starship)???

oh, there is a new techno version on the air of "you can touch this"!!!!

hm, for me it is lego, going out, internet (fbtb, brickshelf, this board, some more...), my car (an Opel Corsa A from '93), my bike (a Yamaha XS-650 from the 70's), going to the cinema.... *thinking about it*... hm.... OH YES!!! THW (Technisches Hilfswerk, translated: Governmental disaster relief organization of the Federal Republic of Germany)... i would also really like to play more computer games (half life 2... :happy: ), but my computer isn't that good... :( oh, and i liked very much to make some maps for different pc games (mostly half life and counterstrike), but i gave it up, because it isn't that worth today (mapping for games nobody plays anymore... :( ).... my general interest are technik, science (i study "Metallurgie und Werkstofftechnik", translated (thanks to google!) "metallurgy and materials engineering"), sci-fi (star wars, star trek (not as much as in my childhood), stargate, matrix,...), fantasy (terry pratchett, LoTR,...) and more... so, that are the things, i did the most in the last months, there are much more things i really like to do, but i haven't enough time to do ALL.... ;)

as far as i can see this, there isn't much difference between the size of drac and the darth vader-keychain... i used vader for my keys more than a half year, the reason to sort it out was, that the cape became really frayed and the whole fig became scratched... :(

hm, then i will not drink too much tonight, so that i'm able to use my computer when i come home in the early morning.... (looking like this: :blink:; tomorrow wearing this: B) and feeling :unsure: )
