Can we please stop speculating over a new sail barge/palace/rancor pit? There is absolutely no reason to believe we'll be getting them any time soon. It's veering off topic heavily.

Not to sound sexist or anything, but this didn't need to be made, especially since LEGO released 21110 Research Institute a few years back. This reeks of approval only due to political correctness. As stated before they happened to leave out Eileen Collins (who was the first female pilot and commander of a space shuttle), which is a bad idea on their part (was it because of her political views I wonder?). I was really hoping for the Hadron Collider or the Observatory. I don't think this will sell very well at all. On a side note, the President just signed an executive order promoting an increase of women in science and business fields. Coincidental that this happened right when the set was announced!

Today I bring you a 708-piece MOC based on the climactic duel at the end of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. This was a lot of fun to design and bring about. It had been through two different designs before I settled on this one. I tried to make it a playset yet also retain display value, and I think I was able to achieve that here. Minifigures Anakin Skywalker Obi-Wan Kenobi Padme Amidala Wat Tambor Security Battle Droid Play Features Remove part of the roof to get access to the control room! Raise the door to allow Anakin and Obi-Wan to continue the fight on the catwalk! Press the knob to 'collapse' part of the structure! Detach the DLC-13 Mining Droid and hover platform to move around the lava fields! Have Anakin wipe out the Separatists in the control room! I don't think there are any more sets coming in the foreseeable future. Of course I could be wrong, but the TV series is ending in 2018, so I think LEGO missed their window if they were going to make a theme.

The tiles could be fantastic for a Millennium Falcon MOC! Or at least one in micro scale.

I've been messing with that since you brought it up, @Takanuinuva. Using the 1x1 brick with studs on opposite sides, It seems to only work when you connect the plate to one side-- you can't put plates on both ends. Using the 1x1 brick with one stud, it doesn't work at all. Using the 1x1 brick with corner studs, you can attach plates on both corners. Using the 1x1 brick with 4 studs, you can attach plates on all four sides. Weird logic in the code for LDD that's allowing this. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Replace those with two 1x1 plates and it will legally connect with the 1x4 plate

How many plates do you have between those SNOT bricks?
