In both the Golden Staff Guardians and Flying Mummy Attack, its the vehicle that is the ultimate draw. The structures in each of these sets look horrible to display. Mummy wings, check. Bomber jacket Jake Raines, check. Bi-plane, check. Obelisk, "fail". Is it worth everything else to drag in the dull obelisk? Only time will tell.

Will Lego make Lego Universe mascot minifigs (knight etc.)?

The droid carrier in Battle of Naboo did not appear in the actual fight in the movie. It's not an accurate representation at all so thumbs down for what could have been a decent set. The sets needs more accuracy and more power on the Gungan side. This was a big disappointment.

I dig* everything else, but the Pikachu without a face is bugging me. I think you need to give it a face. Maybe you were planning to do this already, but: Brock, Misty, Gary, Meowth figures would be a nice start. Oh yeah, and for gym badges maybe studs. You could make Pokeballs out of studs too.

I thought Hermionie's was a little bit inappropriate for kids.

I was wondering if Lego/Lego Stores had noticeable discounts right after Christmas 2009? I want to see if I could get some sets for a better price namely, Luke's Landspeeder, Harry Potter Quidditch Match, and Lavatraz. Comment on those please.

Do you think Lego is insanely overpriced for its plastic worth? or is it simply a status symbol. It takes a certain living standard to afford Legos.

Out of the 3 minions, I personally like Nitroblast the best, then Drilldozer and finally Jetbug. I usually don't prefer the agile types like Corroder and this time, Jetbug.

Surge seems to be on everybody's top list...it is on mine! The headgear switching option is ingenious because now we can mix and max head gears. I notice that all the weapons are made up of 6 pieces: the shield, the pick, the buzzsaw, the gun body, spears, and light sabers. Everyone's weapon is a combination of these 6 pieces. So, if you get both Evo, and Furno, you can make use of their double picks (Furno) and double gun bodies (evo) and light sabers (furno) to make two Surge rifles from those two sets!

Just so you guys know, I haven't done it yet, but I was contemplating it when I posted this thread. For those of you who follow Power Miners, Lavatraz is noticeably not selling well (knock on wood), and I want the set for the Vending Machine feature, but being that TRU started it off with a price tag of 60 (and now knocking it down to 55), I get these thoughts of cheating the system. I'm just hoping some time this year, prices will go down down enough so that the set becomes more affordable. When? if you guys know or think because they usually have deals right about when 2011 sets come out (Hero Factory 2.0 etc) in my history of TRU shopping.

Some comments on each hero: 1. Furno - awkward looking goggles. pretty much the standard set with no unique parts. 2. Stormer - pretty much Furno's twin. :( 3. Surge - My fav! Weapon is a tribute to Mistika Gali and Phantoka Kopaka. 4. Evo - 2nd best. Digging the weapon. 5. Nex - Evo's twin? Cool football helmet. 6. Breez - Weapons are lacking a bit. Cool helmet as well. Thinking about get Surge and Evo. P.S. Villains IMO looks bleh

Do you guys think it's ridiculous that some toy retailers mark up Lego prices 5 bucks for small sets and 10 bucks for bigger sets?

Have you guys ever done a B1G1 50% off sale where you would let's say choose a $60 item, and a $50 (which you would pay $25 for) and then return the $60 item. So, has anybody done that?

What sets did you get for the most discount? at which store? ex: 50% sets, 75% off sets, Buy 1 get 1 free, Buy 1 get 1 half-off. Mine's was TRU's Bionicle Glatorian deal which was 50% a Glatorian. I stocked up on a bunch of those, lol.

I wouldn't get anything Pirates. They're boring. I would get me a Star Wars Echo base + Snow Trooper Battle Pack from Walmart online. If you have that, pick up Power Miners' Lavatraz which is on sale at Target...that is if you're in America.

I think out of all the sets I've listed, I'm only getting myself one of those 5. Out of the bunch, Lavatraz is discounted the most, 12 USDs, and I've ruled out Plo-koon and the City House because it's going to snow sooner or later and the tree house is just not going to work.

Man, I wish Lego could make the vending machine into a Poly-bag that has just the vending machine. ...they will all go up by a lot? by how much is a lot?

Lavatraz is going on sale this holiday season, but its still not THAT affordable. What gets me is that the only thing in the set that interests me is the wicked vending machine. I don't know if I should get it if I only want the vending machine which I calculated to be 37 pieces + a sticker. Another set that I find something interesting in is the City House. Its 35 USD now, but the only part of the set I want is the tree house along with the kid mini-fig that I can put in it. I don't know if I should get it just for the tree house. I don't like the entire set partially because I live in an apartment and if I get both Lavatraz and City House, it's going to take up a lot of space. Some other sets that I actually want because of the set: Pizza Planet Rescue: should I get it because it's probably going to be gone next year? Harry Potter Quidditch: Is this set popular enough that I won't be able to get it later? Plo-koon Starfighter: same question as the Quidditch set ^^^
