  1. Opened a small set, then opened a minifigure packet, watched the biggest ball drop in my city.
  2. When I buy, I just pick the couple I think are the best cuz I don't have a City.
  3. Rubbery shirkens, very interesting...too bad I won't be getting this set, scout's honor.
  4. Yeah, I'm just getting Ninjago spinners (zane dx, nya, garmadon <--best ones imo) this year-- not even gonna touch the sets. I'm sorry, just for verification: jaaag as in jagged? Nin-jag-oh? That is even worse than Maku(ta)hero City!
  5. It was 4.49 plus tax, but I didn't pay all of it in cash :)
  6. Out of the new summer sets, Garmadon's spinner really interests me. Right now though, the Turbo shredder gimmick seems like it's worth the price. My main concern when it comes to buying lego is if I can keep it intact in my room without one day thinking :"ahh, this looks boring, Ima take it apart and store it somewhere where I won't be touching it for a long time."
  7. Like Bionicle, over the years, the number released will continue to decrease. 16,12,10,8,6,4...end.
  8. My lego MF 3 shopping is done. Got the two that I needed thanks to the cheat sheet...but guys, if you can wait it out, please wait. $4.50 a pop is soooo bitter sweet.
  9. @lysk Get the 20 dollar transport truck because it has pieces to moc for an RV, or the pick-a-brick cup, but you will be getting less if you choose the latter option.
  10. Don't you hate it when we're in situation? First there's the challenge of the crib sheet. Now we don't know when they will come out. Prices are the highest right now (although it's 1 buck higher)! Yes, the calendar says they will come out on the 6th, but it also says that the lego catalog will come out on the 10th. I actually got mine's two days ago at the store.

  12. The Colosseum would need to be the Mon Calamari of the Greek/Roman line. What I think is that they should mix mythology with actual life. The sets would feature interactions between man and the gods and other mythical beings. Some off the head sets: -Impulse Spice Vender, River Fisherman, Young Olympian Training, bazaar shopkeeper, Vulcan's Forge -9.99 Battle Chariot, Harpy Battle, The Fates -12.99 Athena's Temple -39.99 Hydra Battle -64.99 Hades' Realm -79.99 Mount Olympus -109.99 Colosseum
  13. Great. Can't wait for new stock to arrive at TRU.
  14. Are Series 3 technically not out like Hero Factory 2.0 and TRU just happened to pay TLG extra to have them on their shelves before Jan 1st? I saw the Ice Dragon Ninjago set before Christmas! Back on topic, is Series 3 technically out already or no? My local TRU just had one box, and when I went today, they had only 1 pack left (it was the sumo, thanks cheat sheet).
  15. Where can you get octagonal hilted black katanas in current or upcoming sets at TLS, TRU or Target? (need 5 for MOC)
  16. Same story with me right now! I saw a bootleg Perfect Zecter for $7 (it was bootleg like a Handy Toy), but was complete. My mom refused to buy it and now that it's gone, we spent yesterday looking through 5 99-cent department stores for it!
  17. How far have you gone to get your hands on a set you absolutely needed to have? I'm sorta in this mood now. My local small business toy store has a toy(not Lego) that happened to sell a day after I spotted it, and decided not to buy it. Imagine the regret. My big move now is to ask the store owner if she can order another one from her wholesaler. I'm going to leave a down payment of 100% of the original price. I hope she can do it. If not, I will be okay, though. If this topic doesn't belong here, treat it as how far you would go if you were in my situation. A set you really wanted is sold out by your local small business. What will you do knowing that it might not come back if you wait.
  18. Box art looks like it's octagonal, not square. :(
  19. Can we sue if the katana we get in the box isn't the same on the box cover? I am certain that on the box, the black katana in Ninja Training Outpost is octagonal-hilted, not square. If I get a square one, I will rage. Hallelujah!
  20. I wish they could be more clear with the sword hilts. I remember Hagrid's Hut where you got square hilts when the picture had octagonals. I hope these katana are exactly what the picture on the box shoes. P.s. i prefer octagonals to squares.
  21. Will the prices of discontinued sets like Batman, and Spongebob rise or fall? I am concerned because prices are already high and I want to wait for a lower price, but will that ever happen?
  22. Awesome set. I really like the patrol bikes and the little lounge underneath their docking area. I thought the lounge was actually two extra jail cells from the front. I wanted to combine sets like Raid VPR for example, so the Space Police could have an air battle with the criminals. The space police canine seems to be the last thing needed to complete this set. The bigger space police vehics don't seem to fit very well into the HQ.
  23. What should I buy? Luke's Landspeeder vs. Plo-koon's Jedi Starfighter Will Lego remake these two later? ---Part 2--- Hagrid's Hut vs. Pizza Planet Truck Rescue vs. City House Rank in order of buyability. ---Part 3--- Space Police Central vs. Mon Calamari Star Cruiser (price does not matter)
  24. I don't know if I should get this set now: 1. Beautiful blue 2. rare Plo-koon & droid but besides that, nothing else seems to stand out. I don't have a jedi starfighter so maybe this would be a nice first, but as a set itself, it doesn't seem to have that draw: maybe because he's a minor character.
  25. Great review. My opinions on the tower: it lacks brick variation :(.
