Amazon UK shipping Lego now. Interesting... I guess pricing is comparable so unlike ordering from Amazon.com (which won't ship it to Aust) there not a massive difference usually.

I'm predominately SW too but grabbed this years City Space - including the big Shuttle Adventure. 4 + 1 kits - they're cheap (compared to SW) and fun to build.

I highly recommend the Shuttle Launch - it's a great set. One of the rare non SW new sets I have.

Hit Myer - most stuff there but got the second last Falcon. Didn't see any Tower Bridges but did see 2 Flagships. Grabbed Falcon, Sith Speeder, Republic Frigate, Ewok Attack and Geonosis Fighter. All 20% + 10% with 3 months interest free + 2 free Lego Clubs. Over a $200 savings on Aussie RRP - pretty good actually! Can't justify the Darth Maul ship as it's $50US so that'll await B&N probably.

The old one has been discontinued because it fell apart in some instances and there is now a Service Pack I believe to fix it. Lego have also changed it slightly to drop the build age because there is a lot of interest. Mine (original) is still solid probably due to lack of swooshing :)

And Myer comes to the party :) Myer One gets you an extra 10% off your Lego.

I have no patience and haven't even been doing this for a year now - but going on history I'm sure all stores will be overloaded with kits in the next month or so. The ever-reliable Myer 20% + 10% sales will come and new kits can be bought at decent prices. Then we'll be complaining that there's nothing new to buy at the great prices for the following 3 or 4 sales we'll see in between now and the next major releases.

TRU had all the new SW sets in the Adelaide city store on Friday…

Got the podracers at DJs and finished building last night - such a fantastic set.

DJs Adelaide just unpacking new SW sets right now for 20% off goodness :) got my podracers for the weekend. TRU also have all the new sets. Not sure on Myer yet.

Myer Adelaide - nothing new. The Flagship boat is on hold for someone - it was sitting on the counter along with a big train set.

TRU Adelaide have restocked. Back are xwings, at-ats, swamp Speeders and Battle of Geonosis. Same prices still. Also they have the new Ewok set and what looks like the Ltd Ed Cars set and the new Creator house and lighthouse (which is cool!). No clear prices on those sorry :/

Let's hope Myers discouting practice continues to flow to other stores - 25% is the new 20% :D

For $7.50 more (25% sale on Tues) I'll be walking up there without the hypnotism I think! I've just calculated all of the SW sets @ 25% off and they're getting possible :/ boo hiss!! I may fall off my soapbox and buy a couple locally. Especially if Myer has a good interest free deal going as well.....

Exactly my sentiments! I'll support local until the cows come home - even 50% over the US retail and I might grab some or wait for a 20% sale. But even with that inevitable Myer sale I can't see my money going anywhere but overseas. Think about it - I can get the Millenium Falcon delivered from B&N for less than $150AU. When is a sale going to drop $100 off that set? I'm really keen for the official stance on it.

Wonder how Lego Aust would respond to a questioning of price comparison? We've got some store owners on here haven't we? Any thoughts at the retail end? Brickset are saying US139 vs our 249 for the Falcon. Insane!

I was on the fence for the prices of the last sets and didn't want rant about the current pricing models until numbers were released - but this June rollout is atrocious. MF seems right but the other kits are shocking. I will likely go Bricklink or B&N for these. Even Myer super sales may struggle make these affordable before clearance time. Someone is seriously cashing in here. Im struggling to see a parent handover the cash for these kits for their kids.

There's a SW Clone Turbo Tank at Adelaide CBD Target stickered at $129 but scanning at $99 hidden on the bottom shelf behind a bunch of boxes if anyone's interested. I am but I have mine still boxed unbuilt and the wife would kill me if I grabbed another one :D

TRU or Big W for the Battle of Geonosis? Your context seems a little confusing - I'm assuming TRU.
