  1. Was thinking the same thing, hopefully it turns out to be real. Should see it soon. Also, went to the Lego Store today for the new figs. First time using the minifig scanner app and got all 3 I wanted. Spider-Man 2099: Got the original fig back when the set came out in 2019 and always felt it was cool but missing something. The CMF one adds so much detail. Took the cape off the CMF one, gave it to the set one, and have set one unmasked now. Best of both worlds. Love it. Spider-Gwen: If you’d believe it, I am a Marvel fan who was able to not get my hands on a Spider-Gwen fig (or the newer Venom and Spidey figs until yesterday when I picked up the Museum polybag too). I made it a point to not get her until they gave her some pink arm print and non-generically-black legs. Needless to say the CMF fig fulfilled my desired. Really a great fig. Displaying her unmasked because, even though I like the masked head, I wish the hoodie had some pink printing inside it like she has in the comics, movies, etc. Could have dual molded it maybe or done something like that one WildStyle fig from TLM cheap set in wave 1. Love the pink hair as well. Prowler: Great fig, not much to say other than happy to have another nice Spidey rogue in the collection. Very nice helmet mold and print. Arm print solid too. Can easily recommend these 3. Got to the Lego Store 10 mins after opening and there were already folks scanning and running through the figs!
  2. I wonder if the Galactus set will look like these busts…
  3. The only 2 CMFs I’m really excited for are Prowler Miles (hopefully has enough generic-ness to it to double as an actual Prowler) and Spider-Gwen. I’ve been holding out on a version of her with her green sneakers and hopefully some arm printing or hoodie printing.
  4. Decided to pull the trigger and get the X-Mansion figures I wanted from Bricklink. Thoughts below: Cyclops: With the addition of dual molded legs (and even yellow hips) this fig is perfect. Can’t tell if I like him more with blue hips or yellow ones because both look so good. It is amazing that we were ever ok with the 2014 version with it’s minimal dark printing and tanned face. A 9/10 or 10/10 figure in my book. Rogue: Bit of a mixed bag. Head is perfect. Hair should have been brown but is not as bright or bad as I imagined; very good hair overall. Legs are nice as well. The torso is the big detractor as the design is very nice but too dark to really be appreciated. 7/10. Bishop: Head is imaculate. One of the most perfect head prints I’ve ever seen. The torso is great, don’t get me wrong, but after looking at it closer I feel like it is somehow super detailed yet also strangely simple. Might need to give him brown flesh arms to break up all the blue. 8.5/10. Jean Grey: I was torn on even getting this one as I wasn’t in love with the design (bit under-detailed, torso printing feels “big” like it is zoomed in, head is pale, no leg print, would have preferred standard blue, hair should be red, etc.) and I feel the same way after seeing it in person. Lot of potential and not bad per se but could be much better. Might be better with a red ponytail piece but not sure. My advice is to hold out for a better version or a Phoenix variant one day. With great sadness… 5.5/10 or 6/10. BONUS: 2013 Pepper Potts with Jean Grey’s hair: Gave Jean’s bright reddish orange hair to my old Iron Man 3 Pepper Potts figure and my goodness is it excellent. So vibrant and such a fresh pop of color - incredible. Never had this orange color until right now and I love it. Turned an otherwise regular Pepper minifig into such a stunning figure by swapping out just 1 simple piece. 1,000,000/10! Anyway those are my reviews. Hopefully it helps anyone who is thinking about buying the figs (or the set maybe). Overall, happy that we got some X-Men figures finally but be warned that they are a mixed bag.
  5. Dune set was revealed. Haven’t read the books or watched the movie yet so excuse my ignorance with the names / descriptions but… - The gold lady’s hood is good for Ancient One from the movie. - The silver guy’s body and armor is good for Silvermane. - The armored woman’s head with glowing eyes is good for Storm. - Gunmetal armored figures might provide for a good Batman fig (wrong thread I know). - Green guy’s torso and legs might be good for an MCU (adjacent?) Iron Fist. - If Zendaya has an alternate head it may work for MJ.
  6. If anybody wants a slightly more comic accurate Lego while still maintaining an MCU flair and only using parts within the CMF - you can flip her torso around (which kind of looks like the crop-top shirt that she has in the comics with the wraps on her arms) + give her Hawkeye’s legs + give her Kate Bishop’s hair. I did this with my duplicate and it really made me love the fig more.
  7. Realized I had the day off so I decided to make a quick run to my local Lego Store. Picked up 12 CMFs, 8 of which were unique, which I don’t think is too bad. Picked from both the top and bottom sections of the box and tried to be a bit random while also thinking back to some of the unboxing videos I’ve watched of this wave. Missing Hawkeye, Storm, Wolverine, and Goliath. Moon Knight is the greatest. Agatha’s printing is a close second. Love Kate Bishop and Beast although the difference in print quality of the duplicate Kate Bishop is insane. She Hulk looks better in person. Instantly gave Mr. Knight’s silver 1x3 sticks to Daredevil. Echo’s great but her hair that makes her head look massive is the weakest part and detracts a bunch from an otherwise stellar figure. The same could be said for Werewolf by Night who I kind of prefer without the hair / ears. Overall, a great wave. Hope it does well enough to get a 3rd Series one day.
  8. In an unforseen turn of events, Moon Knight became one of my favs of the wave. Truly the Falcon Captain America fig of this series. Can’t wait for Sept 1st even tho they’ll be sold out in 2 seconds.
  9. The advent calendar this year looks stellar. Reminds me of one of the first one’s I got back in 2010. I haven’t bought a calendar since 2013 but might have to this year. The gaming set up, the dinner area, the sign, the lady holding the cande. It is all proper homeley.
  10. Looking at the boxes I actually like their design a lot. Obviously bags were better to feel figures but these are cute and there’s always Bricklink for whenever you tap on trying to get lucky for a fig that you want. Beast is perfection. Odd that Clint gets his finale suit while Kate gets her suit from the rest of the season. I’ll probably just swap her magenta arms out. She looks fantastic, great likeness to the actress. Clint is good but I have no desire for him as the 2016 version + short arms is superior. I wonder how easy it will be to customize Moon Knight into a white and black comic version. Maybe using some of Goliath’s parts?
  11. Best Wolverine hands down, it’s exceeded all my expectations. Sentinel head is a fantastic touch. Mask is still whatever, will probably display him with his hair only. Beast is fantastic as well. Storm I need to see better pics of but love that we have the white suit. Can’t wait for more 90s X-Men figs, looking to collect a team of X-Men now that I’m satisfied with my Hall of Armor and Iron Man collection. Great detail on Goliath and a bunch of others. Echo’s suit isn’t anything comic related but the head and hair gives us a good way to make a comic version. The new bow pieces are very meh. Too thick. I really liked the Werewolf By Night special presentation show but that fig doesn’t do much for me. Disliked Moon Knight and his suit and feel the same about his figs. Will be the first series where I’ll probably buy a full box just to make sure I get them all.
  12. Not sure if it’s been mentioned yet - I took another look at the first trailer for The Marvels and it looks like the sticker on in The Hoopty is the same planet they visit in the trailer. You can tell because it has the rings. Possibly the planet Aldana from the comics where all the residents speak in rhyme schemes / song. Also seems like the back boosters of the Lego version of the Hoopty isn’t entirely accurate as the blue boosters should be above the wings as per the trailer, not below the wings. Link to the image below via MCU Wikia gallery (image 38 / 66 if the link doesn't work immediately). https://marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/The_Marvels/Gallery?file=The_Marvels_Teaser_Trailer_(21).png
  13. Not sure if its been mentioned yet but in the Brickset photos of The Hoopty you can see that one of the screens in the cockpit has Nick Fury on there. Going to be a useful sticker for many out there.
  14. The Hoopty Great name for a ship haha Can’t wait to place it next to my Mercedes Benz Lego set and custom 50 Cent minifigure I hope all three of the 1990’s and early 2000’s rap fans on this forum appreciated that joke
  15. I actually like that we’re getting Goliath. I imagine we won’t be seeing him suit up in the MCU proper so this What If works fine. Also, shout out to Lawrence Fishurn. Never made sense that Kang was to be included. Excited for She-Hulk (never got the Red Hulk set), Beast (just because he is a new X-Man), Agatha (looks good and to complete the WandaVision cast), Kate (one of the better additions to the MCU), and Echo (to place her next to Daredevil). Possibly Storm as well. Everyone else is whatever. Another Wolverine with that awful helmet. :( The fig barely looks different from the last one we got.
  16. I was thinking it might be a case file printed on the 2x3 but it being a comic would be perfect! The rest of the accessories sound great as well. Wolverine having the meme photo and us finally getting the Darkhold and Bloodstone are great. Nice that Kang has an Ant Man piece, would be even cooler if it’s Cassie to round out the micro figs of the cast we have. Does anyone know what Echo’s accessory is? I don’t even know what piece they could be referencing…
  17. We need an @Captain Nemo rant on this set please.
  18. Yikes. That is a tough helmet. It literally looks like this: https://www.google.com/search?q=lego+batman+mcdonalds+toys&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari#imgrc=JMj61DeUi6pjIM&lnspr=W10%3D
  19. Bricktober pack with Zemo, Ego, High Evolutionary, Kang, Agatha, and Kaecillius anyone LOL?
  20. Wow that looks excellent! Love all of the little details in there. Favorite area has to be the town area with the newer road plates and the tracks by the train station. Also love the children sledding on snow mounds between tracks Also, not sure if anyone’s seen this set, I have no clue what it’s for. Seems to be an anniversary of some kind, possibly for a mail service somewhere, given the 60 on the box and the inclusion of Santa and a mail delivery person. Haven’t seen it really mentioned on Brickset and this seems to be the best place to post it. Anybody know what it’s for, how to get it, or where it’s being given out? https://www.ebay.fr/itm/314266620077?hash=item492bc010ad:g:xVwAAOSw9Fpjkz-i
  21. Haha it doesn’t bother me much either right now (and any gaps it causes I cover using the front mouth tentacles). But it is a shame that it exists. Haven’t seen any fixes online either except for one saying to put some round 1x1 circular/corner tiles on the studs of the 1x2 ball joint instead of studs. Not sure that would fully fix it though. The best fix would be using this piece instead of the current 1x2 female ball joint connector and combining it if Lego made a female connector version of this piece which I feel won’t likely happen.
  22. I know I’m late on this, but I just got the Gargantos set the other day and it’s fantastic. What a fun build and great looking model. Sturdy, posable, shockingly large, and the best version of Dr. Strange to date (and that’s saying something because I loved the original fig for so long). Wanted to get this set when it was on sale for ~$22 but the full $30 is honestly so worth it too. America Chavez is also a solid fig, especially when you give her some blue powers, and was pleasantly surprised by Wong who is very detailed.
  23. Very similar to 2 GWPs from prior years haha. Very fun though regardless. I still remember the original gifts that you could buy seperately (the 2 rooms that combined to make a single living room. One side with the Christmas tree and the other with the fireplace) so it’s fun to see how far we’ve gotten with them. The Santa one looks more fun for kids. Love the details and double doors. Very quaint barn-like interior and great computer screen piece. But the elf one is such a cute display piece for the season with some very nice mountains. Not a fan of that blue turntable piece sticking out of the front but still looks cute. Might have to go with the elf one.
  24. This Flash torso is easily the best set of the year.
  25. Took the words right out if my mouth. Fantastic set. The critique on the shallowness of the buildings is interesting as well especially because all of the early - and very beloved sets - were also rather small. This feels like a love letter those first 3 models. This one looks especially fantastic with the red and green
