The organisers of the Games invited the native races of Andromeda to participate in the events. A number of alien races accepted and sent competitors. Unfortunately, there were some errors in the rules that were sent to them. For the Land Race event, there were, uh, some typos that meant the Aliens are somehow riding bikes, I guess?
