Thank you everyone for a warm and nice welcome! I indeed enjoy strawberries very much, by the way. Stawberries with fruit-cereals in pure yogurt... Yumm, yumm, yumm, probably even better than LEGO. :-D

Haha! That's funny - but, come oooon, you can't be serious. :-P Nintendo's games always offered a very deep and perfectly designed experience concerning gameplay (which is a term hard to define, I think). But some would not see that because Nintendo tends to package that in very comic and, yes, child-suitable graphics, which does not mean that they're not beautiful. Hell, they are beautiful, when you ask me. So, the company's image sometimes is thought of as "childish", partly because of Pokemon. But Mario and other franchises were designed for all age groups, anyway. In Japan the age barrier never has been a problem from the beginning... But the company actively started aiming at an older audience a few years ago already, which you can see in the "Metroid prime" or new "Zelda" games for example. Or, on another level, with all the language- and braintraining software on DS. They'll surely come up with similar stuff for the Wii very soon.

Oh, dear LEGO. You're still the same. *wacko*

Of course everone has. I never denied that. ;-)

I'm not missing the point. Read this thread carefully and you'll find postings that say that the kid's belongings shouldn't be sold at all. How do you know how a parent's grieving process might look like? People are different. I find this kind of auction unusual, too. But that's all i can say based on the information we have.

Happy birthday! I usually like what you write in many threads here! :-)

I'm late but still in the "3-days-delay-are-the-schedule-still-okay" limit. So good wishes for your next year! :-)

Congratulations from here, too. Long live the dirty Pirates! :) :-|| :'-)

When I read this thread for the first time I really was wondering... Much ado about nothing? Seriously, I don't really understand why most of you guys (except snefroe1) are having such a big problem with this. First, we don't know if this is a made up story or not and we'll never find out. But I think it's none of our business anyway. Of course I do understand that one can wonder about the seller giving us this info anyway, but as long as we don't know about this person and all the circumstances who are we to judge? Second, people grieve in different ways, most of us certainly would not mention the death of a family member on ebay. But concerning the ones who do - that's fine with me, everyone deals differently with tragic incidents and the loss of a child surely is one of the most sad things I imagine one can experience. I also can imagine that listing these items can cause pain, too, and being as direct as the seller is might be helpful for dealing with his/her situation. Third, it's just like snefroe said, the belongings of passed away people get sold all the time, so this also shouldn't be the problem. There are people who would keep the stuff as part of the memory, but I think it's only normal and healthy not to keep everything, so this is everyone's individual decision what they want to keep in loving memory. I didn't want to sound offensive towards you, it's just that we should not judge something we know so little about... One thing we all can agree on: If this is a fake, then it's a very distasteful one.

By the way: Did you guys know that the SNES is outselling Xbox360 and PS3 as well on Amazon at the moment? Strange but true! :'-)

Wii. And I actually was the first voter for Nintendo's new machine... I'm a videogame fan bigtime, anyway, although I don't play very often (not more than once or twice a week, sometimes less). But I just love my Super NES. I also own the other Nintendo home-consoles plus a Sega Mega Drive ("Genesis" in the US) and I voted for Wii here because of Nintendo's first-party games. I just don't see other franchises reaching the perfection of game-series like "Pikmin", "Mario" or "Zelda" - although we'll have a few exciting excusive titles on all 3 new consoles, of course. But as I said before, i care most about retro-gaming, not the new generation.

Can someone please find out about this? 'Cause when we Europeans would have to pay a lot of money for the customs, this really should be discussed... Count me in with 2 Tickets please. *vader*

Excellent! :-D Reminds me of some newspaper article which said that women more and more pretend to talk on their mobile while walking around town, because they feel safer then and also avoid brash guys haunting them. :-$

Could you give me some more information on this set, please? I haven't known about this one before and it looks interesting... :-)

That's exactly what I thought when rading the given options. You see people messing up apostrophes all the time... In german language it shouldn't even be used after a genitive, only exception are words ending on "s" anyway. But as I said: You see it used incorrectly all the time...

I feel like kiku: I always liked the comics but I wouldn't consider myself a fan. In Germany he is called "Tim" and the series in general is called "Tim und Struppi", focussing on Tintin and his dog in the title. My girlfriend likes that series very much, by the way.

Really great new logos and ranks! Thank you! *sweet*

Two friends came here and and brought me some food as a present! The problem only is that this happened because I got sick yesterday and felt to weak to go shopping these things by myself, so, maybe, this did not have anything to do with Valentine's day. But I ignore that little detail... *wub* btw: Nice videogame-related cards, guys. I didn't know that site before.

Choosing from these five it would be "Super Mario" and, to be more specific, I'd like to see "Super Mario World" from the good old SNES becoming legofied... I'd also like to see "Plok" and the Mega Drive/Genesis classic "Sonic the hedgehog". The old "Mega Man" games from the 8- and 16-bit era should be looking great too, when being built in Lego form...

Do you have an idea, how much a 1-bed-room or a 2-bed-room will cost per night? I'm thinking about joining you, although I don't know any of you yet. But there was a first time for everyone here, I guess. "PaB" - I understand that this means a sale of loose parts one can choose and mix, like these small sections in the regular LEGO-stores. Does it stand for "Parts and bricks"? And please tell me more about the firefighting contests. What exactly is it you're doing, is this some arcade-game or what is it? I'm curious and excited about that... ;-)

I don't get that part about the City-sets, please explain... I really hope not too many Star wars boxes will get damaged or torn because of greedy collectors (like us, haha). And, no, it's not LEGO's fault if people can't behave at all... Think of Ferrero surprise eggs - even there you sometimes found a whole display with hundreds of damaged eggs, because some idiots pressed them to find the right figurines. And compared to LEGO they're really cheap... But weighing the Star Wars sets shouldn't be too annoying, in my opinion. If some staff is wondering, you still can say" Hey, I'm one of the good ones, at least I'm not ripping the boxes open!" :-D By the way: Where did you find information in which sets C3PO won't be included for sure?
