42009 outriggers were very slow even after replacing the gears of the mini LA. 42082 does not seem to have this problem But I think 42082 really need a 2 stage boom (I sure we are going to see some mods) the crane should look better, if the boom is 2 panels shorter with the hook near the front during driving

with the 42009 it was easy to add a second Changeover Catch to have the hook and the boom moving at the same time. maybe this can also be done with 42082

fred-eric replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks like it will be very difficult to separate the body from the chassis to see the best part of the car (the gearbox) -

IMHO it depends if you have to turn the red tooth or drag it... -

It's hard to talk about something that we are not supposed to have seen ;-) Gear shifting is amazing. I hope someone will make a new gearbox for the Porsche... -
After trying several solutions to raise the front of the car (I was looking for a simple one based on TLG design) I am quite happy with the following one : I replaced the yellow parts with those like this (you have to compress the shock absorber a bit to install it) Now the front of the car is a little higher than the rear :-)
