Codefox, glad you're still working on this. I'm excited to see the next version. Where do you find the HM-06 for sale and what is the benefit of the new motor driver? This version looks quite a bit more challenging/expensive and will probably be a lot more intimidating for smd and avr noobs (like myself), but I know it has much more promising capabilities.

I don't think there is a current android binary posted, just the one on page 3. I mentioned a few months ago about buying the bluetooth transceiver from dealextreme. These are HC-06, at least the one I got. It seems to work, but had to comment out pinMode(btResetPin, OUTPUT) from the firmware otherwise the module would not turn on. Also had to remove the semaphore from the bluetoothSerialService class or the app will hang. I ordered HC-05 modules from Banggood.com last week.

I would try selling on Bricklink or an afol forum like this one unless you already have high ebay rep. I just sold a Unimog on Ebay (my first auction in years) and was shocked by the fees (10% just for the auction and I included shipping free). I'd like to buy a Parisian Restaurant, but fiancee will kill me... -
I built some wooden tracks from 24" strips of thin rectangular (balsa?) wood from the hardware store and used popsicle sticks as sleepers. I think it works out to $1/ft and the height of the tracks is very close to lego. When I first started out I was surprised I couldn't find any threads on people using wood. I've been thinking of posting a video of my small loop that has three sections of these and they seem to connect pretty well with the lego plastic track even in my temporary, crude setup. I've also seen plastruct and metal drywall corners used, but I'm new to trains and haven't seen much except online.

Does anyone have a preference between Hidaka's version 1 and 2? Does version 2 provide more power?

I think for J1 he recommends the AVRISP mk2: http://www.atmel.com/tools/avrispmkii.aspx . I bought the components to build this last week from Digikey and the bluetooth module from dealextreme.com. Earlier in this thread it seemed like it wasn't advised to use the Arduino to program the attiny84. Is this going to brick my attiny or should I just buy the avrisp mk2? Thanks codefox and others for all you've done on this!
