  1. You know now that I think about I may buy 2 more before the end of the next month. Wow this is fun. :-D
  2. From the looks of what you wrote, you already have one on order correct? My reasoning for getting two is simple, I have a friend who is into Star Wars more so than I(got her a Sandcrawler for Christmas) and for the moment she is strapped for cash. This is mostly due to the fact that we are going to Celebration IV and she will need the money then. This way when she does have the money she can get the MF from me. At the time of buying them I thought about getting a 3rd one, but I opted on not going that route. Oh and as far as money goes, I have money set aside each month for fun stuff so I guess I manage my finances well and Uncle Sam is giving me a nice tax return to boot. X-D Yeah I felt relieved too that I will not be charged till it ships. Yay!! DB
  3. Well I broke down and bought not one but two of these models :-D I was told by the LEGO customer service rep. that my card will not be charged until it ships, which is perfect because there are other things I would like to buy. At any rate, I too read about the Gold colored C-3POs within certain sets and that is just as exciting. Hunt On! X-D DB
  4. I like your choice of games, I can tell that RPGs are your primary genre. As for me I would like to see the following: Dragon Quest and Dragon Quest Rocket Slime Kingdom Hearts I and II(Gumi Ships anyone?) *wub* Panzer Dragoon Saga Halo would be great too or any military game(build your own tank). I am sure there are some I am missing. Oh well.
  5. Just to make sure, they are not charging you until it ships? Are you buying this within the U.S.A? Please let me know. Someone else mentioned that you have to pay for it at once. Thanks.
  6. Oh my god! I almost peed my pants when I saw this on the main page. This is truly amazing. I could use another MF in my collection. Of course just like others have mentioned, my space is limited too, so this would be sitting in the box for quite a while, just like the ISD. After dunamis posted that he bought his on the U.S.A. site, I too am going to get mine, most likely order it tomorrow when I am at the LEGO store, this way I can get the stamps for the loyalty card. :-D The only beef I have is that it is expensive, considering that I just bought the ISD 2 months ago. The whole idea of having to pay for it all at once is not all that comforting either. I guess Uncle Sam will have to be covering this one. :-P Oh there is another issue that I have and that is that I am also going to Star Wars Celebration IV this year and just the booking of the hotel and flight is costing me as much as this. But alas I do not want to miss out on this great set. Oh what to do. Tomorrow I will know. Lemur
  7. Hi all- As a few have already mentioned some of the stores in and around the U.S.A.(TRU, K-Mart, The LEGO Store, et el). I will share with you some places that you can buy LEGOS where most would never think about. Ok please be patient and understand that under no circumstances that you are guarunteed to find new or even complete sets at these locations, or for that matter any LEGOs at all. Living in a city like Chicago, I have learned that you can find a lot of stuff if you just "dig around". The first thing I will mention is second hand stores. They sometimes have things you would have never found at any other store. Mind you you may have to dig through boxes or ask around, but sometimes you can get lucky. The next place is a Flea Market and to tell you the truth I have gotten the best deals on misc. parts and the like at these places than at others. As an example, back in December of 2006, my buddy and I went to one and we were looking around and have not found anything for like an hour, then as we were about to leave, I told him I will check just two more places here and then we can go. It was a good thing I did for you see not only did I find LEGOs, but a 64 quart Rubbermaid tub 3/4 full of LEGO. When I asked the guy what he wanted for them he told me that they were for his neighbor's kids, but for me he says, how about $20.00 U.S. dollars. No arguement there with that kind of price. But again this all comes down to the willingness to look and may even take up a whole day. Sometimes you get lucky and other times you are SOL. The final few places that I will mention are Garage Sales, Moving Sales, and Estate Sales. I go to these things on a weekly basis and let me tell you, these are great in just maybe attaining a few pieces here and there, altough in some cases LEGO buckets and sets, like the one I went to 2 weeks ago. Well I hope that helps and happy hunting.
  8. All of these layouts are very nice, well detailed, and carry thier respective builder's personality. I have to say that I am a little bit jeolous, mostly due to the limited amount of space I have to build anything at all. When I do have more space in the near future and time to build, I will definitely post some pictures. One of the many goals for my own town is to put in an industrial center or section where I can build a fully operational chemical plant(I work in the chemical industry). X-D At any rate I do like that fact that everyone here can share thier ideas with one another and lend a thought or two. Thanks so much for sharing your layouts with myself and others here on EB.
  9. Hi and welcome to Eurobricks! I too like your gas station, quite detailed as well. Your buildings are unique too which is also a plus. You have it coming along nicely for a city, well done! :-)
  10. I welcome you to EB as well, this should be a fun ride. Enjoy.
  11. Even though I am not into the Space theme and the like, I can honestly say that you do have a great building talent. Oh and just like you I am new here to, so I well come thee to thee to the party.
  12. Thank you all for welcoming me into your community on this side of cyber space. :-D As far as what a couple of you have said, my response to those are: I used to love the Castle Theme, but alas I lost interest in it after most of the stuff was stolen over a decade ago. :'-( Somehow I managed to keep my Town stuff and my 4.5v Train which was my first one. *wub* I do have some Castle stuff, but I have very little interst in the Theme, sorry. As far as having any other accounts on other sites for MOCs and the like, I have to say that I only have a www.peeron.com account to keep track of my ever growing collection. Building MOCs takes time and sadly I recently(within the last 2 years or so) came back to the LEGO scene, a lot of that was due to the stuff I missed(A Girlfriend and heavy Magic: The Gathering playing can take time away from hobbies). Anyway I hope that helps.
  13. Hi all- So I finally decided to join Eurobricks after browsing this site for a several months now. :-D As for me I am mostly into the Town and City themes, along with Trains. Oh yeah and Star Wars is also on my list, both in LEGO form and in other collectible mediums. I hope to have a good time here with like minded AFOL's, who appreciate LEGO as much as I do.
