I can imagine many people not wanting to buy it ... until it's discontinued. Then off to sell a kidney to buy one from the secondary market, or bricklinking it for double the price (unless they go for a fuchsia satellite dish or something like that). Me, I will be buying one for sure. Anyone who wants one badly, and is squandering his lego money on the recent underwhelming waves instead of saving up for the UCS MF and then complains about the price ... eh ...

what a lame calendar this year. bought six last year. this year probably only one, if.

Glad, for once, that the revealed sets are rubbish. That way I can spend it on the UCS MF.

americans are hilarious. they complain about lego bps costing 15 dollars, and then they tip 20% in restaurants. or maybe that's the reason why they complain so much.

Nobody is pointing a gun to their head and telling them to use a limited palette. I said that if star wars makes them so much money, and if there's so much potential in re-use, they could invest resources in making a more accurate colour. Or else they can use stickers, the way theyre going.
-
Since Star Wars is such a good earner for lego, maybe they should invest in a new, more vehicle-accurate colour for their bricks.
-
god forbid they should introduce a new element in the star wars line without raising the price by 30%.

They are readily available from my local supermarket in belgium, with the price slashed from 18 to 12 euro.

We don't have a TRU in Belgium. What happens in such cases? -

Hey guys, which retailers in Europe are selling the Arkham set, apart from s@h? It's a limited exclusive, isn't it? -

Whoah whoah whoah hold on a sec. I never mentioned anything about not paying for the stuff I ask for. It's just that I see - might be a different service, I dont know - so many people getting the licensed parts directly from Lego, I assumed it was thru the Missing Bricks service. -

With that new Alfed in the Ultimate Batmobile, you can make a decent Bruce Lee Kato custom to go with the classic batcave set. -

Thanks. I was only wondering whether you needed to justify why you needed for eg a pair of han legs, or a darth vader cape, or whatever. -

I have a question regarding the Missing Bricks service on S@H, where basically you have missing bricks, quote a number from the instructions manual to prove you own the set, and lego sends you the missing parts. My question is: is this frequently abused, and how often does Lego humour such requests? Im talking about people telling Lego that a whole minifig was 'missing' from the set they just bought. Point of the question is, of course, whether I should try my luck. -
I have that kind of money lying around, and much more ... precisely because I don't impulse-buy 500 dollar sets just because. Forums like this one might give you the wrong impression about collectors, that's all.

The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)

Is there an official date for the celebration kick off, anyway? Something like Force Friday? -

Your mileage may vary, but to me no Lego is worth its full price. -
i will surely but a reissue of the falcon cause i dont own the firts one, but if it's 600 euro and comes with that silly non-canopy from ten years ago i will feel a bit cheated.
-
Like always, I will wait for the sales. Id sooner die than pay full price for Lego.

The landspeeder from a couple of years ago (not the one in the cantina set) was my first lego star wars set. That one did have an amazing minifig line-up: luke, ben, the two droids, a sandie and that robot flying thing from the special editions. This one's a bit lacking there I think. Easy pass.

no offence, but if people can find the time to answer the same question repeatedly, i'm sure you can just google the info you're after. nobody is THAT busy unless they're obama or something.

The same way I can't buy Lego cheaper from the US (from sites like BBTS) and have it shipped to Europe. Welcome to the club.

The most underwhelming wave in years. Yet another A-Wing, exactly like last year's but in a different colour, yet another speeder almost exactly like the one from the cantina set two years ago, with the same figures plus a tusken to lure us suckers who dont have one yet, yet another skiff ... yawn, yawn, yawn. Thank god for the stormtrooper battlepack at least.
